Tamamono Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 Oh no, you don't understand right now. It'll all make sense when voting time comes around. Alright, I'll take your word for it. I look forward to voting!! Actually, I only had the penalties yesterday. Right, not voting isn't a penalty in this game. New plan, by the way. Enemy number one is Witch. 4 votes on her first.
Bob Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 Oh no, you don't understand right now. It'll all make sense when voting time comes around. Actually, I only had the penalties yesterday. You didn't vote yesterday. Sucks that the werewolf doesn't kill on the second offense of a broken rule. Crap, Tammo beat me to it.
DarthPotato Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 You didn't vote yesterday. Sucks that the werewolf doesn't kill on the second offense of a broken rule. Crap, Tammo beat me to it. There's no rule of that in the first place though.
Bob Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 Let's do some basic math that even the scum will understand. There's six scum in this game: 1) LegoDad 2) Kadabra 3) TrumpetKing 4) Darth Potato 5) Purpearljellyblob 6) WBD Three are dead, two are being lynched in a few hours, and one we have to wait until tomorrow. With 11 players left, that's 6 players needed for a majority. Four people need to vote for Darth Potato since he has two penalty votes. For hypothetical purposes, I know of four confirmed townies in the town block conversation. Bye-bye Potato. Let's say, hypothetically, the scum have recruited the serial killer to their side, which is stupid because he can't win with a scum victory. That would be four votes that they can use. Eleven players remaining minus 8 equals 3 remaining townies. So, the serial killer sides with the scum and can potentially lynch a townie. But wait, there's more. There doesn't need to be a majority lynch, meaning that with Potato's lynch, we need only three townies to vote for him and then four townies can vote for Waterbrick Down. That would make the vote look something like this: Darth Potato: 5 (penalty, penalty, Tammo, Rufus, Bob) Random Townie: 4 (Waterbrick Down, Purpearljellyblob, Potato, serial killer) Waterbrick Down: 4: (townie, townie, townie, townie) But wait, a tie! What do we do?! We have a few options. We (as town) can get our vote in first before the scum mobilize and vote one of us out. Whoever has majority reached first is lynched first even in a tie I believe. Or the scum can edit a post or not vote. Or the serial killer can side with us. Come on SK! Side with the town! You know you want to!
Zepher Posted June 6, 2013 Author Posted June 6, 2013 (edited) Voting is now open. Adam will receive the Bobblyhead Pill. I'd much rather reward those who were around than punish them. You may complain when the game is over, if you want. Adam, remember you still have to boldly choose that pill if you want to avoid penalty votes. Edited June 6, 2013 by Zepher
Waterbrick Down Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 Sorry Mr. Blacked-out-dude, but there are no penalties for not voting. Looks like you're only going to get to lynch one of us tonight.
Tamamono Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 Alright, in any case, 8 people, 7 town. 4 town vote for DarthPotato, in my opinion. If something has to stay around, let it be the Fairy Tale pill. Vote: Snake Charmer (Darth Potato) I'm willing to offer the SK a deal. SK, if you side with the scum, there's pretty much no way you can win. The only way you can win is if you stay hidden and vote with the town. You can kill me tonight, taking out the investigation - nobody else will be able to find you "inscrutable". Witch and DarthPotato will die today, and I'll ask the blocker to block PGO (unless PGO is the SK, then congrats, PGO, you just threw away your only chance of winning by scumsiding). Not going out into the open is the only way for you to win. You can continue killing off townies until you either win or are found and lynched. If you reveal yourself, you are going to lose 100%. If you don't really care about the win, then oh well, I suppose it's just kingmaker at this point, and the game's a lost cause (unless something amazing happens).
Adam Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 Vote: Snake Charmer (Darth Potato) And of course I'll take that Bobblyhead Pill. Oh, right. Hi guys. Stumpy in the house.
Waterbrick Down Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 Let's see how he likes his own high and mighty medicine, vote: The Serious Roleplayer (Tamamono).
fhomess Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 Thinking out loud here... It's currently 7-3-1, and we are guaranteed 1 scum lynch. The worst case scenario for town is 4-2-1 tomorrow, but that requires the SK to reveal themselves (if they haven't done so already). The problem is, that if the SK reveals themself, then they've become a direct target for both scum and town. We both need to kill him or her. I would think that with a need to eliminate 8 more players, secrecy would be the SK's best approach. Yes, they need to whittle town down a bit, but they also could stand to reduce the scum team. I actually think the SK has a pretty good shot at this if they vote with town since it's going to be hard to eliminate 8 players in two days. The SK wants this to drag out as long as possible, and revealing makes the SK an immediate lynch target.
DarthPotato Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 Thanks for the two lynch rule, Town! It's a pleasure to use it against you. Vote: The Serious Roleplayer (Tamamono) Town suck.
Bob Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 This was your "big reveal"? Attempting to turn the tables on us? Nice try, but your tricks won't work on us. We're the world's greatest detectives.
DarthPotato Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 This was your "big reveal"? Attempting to turn the tables on us? Nice try, but your tricks won't work on us. We're the world's greatest detectives. Attempting? Oh, no, we'll be succeeding. One of your leaders will be lynched today and we'll continue to pick you off one by one until someone wins.
Tamamono Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 Attempting? Oh, no, we'll be succeeding. One of your leaders will be lynched today and we'll continue to pick you off one by one until someone wins. Where did you learn to count?
DarthPotato Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 We still have a chance of winning. Small, yes, but a chance. And we're giving the SK an equal chance of winning. There's no way they can win with you, you'll all just lynch them the first chance you get. And here come the posts saying you'll magically convert the SK to the Town's side and he can win with you...
fhomess Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 It's worth pointing out that the SK can't win with you, either. Oh, yes, you can win with the SK, but they can't win if there are two of you around. And you can't win with one of you and him around. The SK's best chance of winning is to fight against both of us by hoping to stay hidden.
Zepher Posted June 7, 2013 Author Posted June 7, 2013 Vote Count Snake Charmer (Darth Potato): 4 (Tamamono, Bob, KielDaMan, Adam) The Witch (Waterbrick Down): 2 (fhommes, mostlytechnic) The Serious Roleplayer (Tamamono): 2 (Waterbrick Down, Darth Potato)
Tamamono Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 I'm actually a very sporting kind of guy. The SK has absolutely 0 chance of winning once he reveals himself; we still have a blocker and I have every intention of having him block your killer and the SK intermittently at night while the rest of the town lynches you off during the day. The SK's absolute best chance is to vote with the town and stay hidden. There are still enough people who aren't confirmed for him to be able to play us off each other while he wins. Will he win? I don't know. I hope not. But he definitely has a chance of coming out on top if he doesn't reveal himself. It'd actually be hilarious if someone decided not to vote today.
