Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

Well,, I have no complaints aghast tie-in Modular GWP released in February one month after the next Modular Bldg’s release .

Sure, it may be likely that the next Modular Bldg will be out of stock right before the GWP’s release but you still can buy Book Store, Police Station and / or boutique Hotel. Or… just buy that GWP off ebay, Bricklink, Amazon or whatever you preer. 

Is Book Store going to be retired this December?

I understand why LEGO does it. No need to hype up demand for the set in January. However by the time the GWP comes out the modular will be sold out and LEGO never makes enough stock of GWP. (Still looking at you teal car)

The Taxi to go with the 2022 modular Hotel came back for a while after the beginning of the year for those who missed it the first time I believe.

Some were saying they missed their chance to get that Tsxi promo when it came out in Feb this year for the modular Hotel. I was one of them. We thought it was completely gone. But lego brought back the taxi promo GWP back in April again and made it available to with the purchase of any modular. So we got a second chance.

Do Modular Building series usually get new parts?

I ask becuase it seems there is a leak - it’s an uptight leaf connected to a single stud. It seems it’s gray  or white-ish. I have no idea if it’s for the next Modular set.

I haven't seen this brought up too often but you know what else would be a cool idea for a modular building or at least part of one? A TV station, like news broadcast or something like that! Maybe a different floor could maybe even have a radio station as well??? I know the popular one is a Post Office and I totally agree but I wanted to throw in some other ideas as well. What do you guys think???

But is the top floor of the downtown diner too close to that for LEGO to do it. I'd personally love it, and I'm tempted to do the radio station alt build of the police station. Just not sure we'll get it officially.

I like that TV station idea! We have seen a TV station in the Lego movie  and Ithink we had one in the Lego Movie set. But a Modular-level TV station? Heck yes!

for me, I’m hoping for a Japanese sushi restaurant with its garden. I mean…I’m a huge fan of japanese culture. :)

After a hospital or a school, a « media center » would be on top of my list: a ground floor as a TV studio for news broadcasting, live shows like in the 50-60’, a makeup station, a dressing room with costumes, etc; a second floor for a newspaper with all the typewriters, a newspaper press, many desks, a room for the editor in chief , and a third floor for a radio station

Hope to see some leaks soon, whatever it will be !

To add to the rumor mill, a contact at a Lego store in the Midwest hinted at a hospital, $250.00, ~3,000 pcs.  I generally don’t put much stock in rumors but same guy last year around this time said he’d heard something about a boutique of some sort so who knows.  Thought I’d throw it out there.

I'm also interested in a hospital too but TV station just sounds like a cool concept and your ideas just made the whole thing even cooler in my mind hahahaa! I'd love all forms of media under 1 roof, that'd be an awesome modular!

Nah. My friend's doctor's gardener's grocer's delivery guy says that your cousin's sister's mother's ex boyfriend's brother doesn't know what they're talking about. And last year they said something similar...
