Mr. Elijah Timms Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Yeeesh. Even if kid collectors were able to join EB, I doubt they would because of all this immature behavior. It's a toy, friends. It should be fun, and the conversations should be friendly. Quote
TheLegoDr Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Is there a link to the calendar? I know MM is the promo for March, but is there double points again? I know they've done that the last two Marches, but I can't remember seeing it on this calendar. Thanks! Quote
Lance Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 (edited) It's not on the calendar for this month, so I guess not. Only Martian Manhunter and a Disney polybag. The calendar should be on the LEGO stores website now. Edited March 1, 2014 by Lance Quote

Hrafnblod Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 I'm happy about the fact that we get 2 different starlords! Wait, what? I haven't seen anything to the effect of the smaller set having a different variant than the Milano. Quote
KingPixels Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 The seperate Marvel forum really needs to come now I need some more GOTG news, Im getting sick of all the DC news I don't give a crap about a Green Manhunter or whatever his name is What are you, 12? Marvel reads Batman religiously. DC loves the Avengers movie. I'm pretty sure companies can't read. Even if you're talking about higher-ups, I wouldn't be so sure about either of those things. Quote
Themadpatter Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 What are you, 12? This has been told to stop, so please do so Quote
B-Lister Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Is there any more info about a possible GL set? Or is it all just rumor and speculation at this point based on the LED light? Any rumored price point? Quote
Sam892 Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Is there any more info about a possible GL set? Or is it all just rumor and speculation at this point based on the LED light? Any rumored price point? There's this from last year http://brickfanatics.co.uk/lego-2014-rumor-mill-super-heros-update/ but really apart from this and the LED coming to light ( sorry couldn't help the pub haha). There's also someone on Instagram who claim to have seen a GL minifigure that's coming next year. Quote
Freddy Bricker Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 But has Lego ever released a LED of a licensed figure that hasn't appeared in a set? All Star Wars clocks and art I've seen have all been official Lego figures, so I hope Green Lantern doesn't start a trend of Licensed figures who appear on shirts and in clocks as microfigures but official sets. If anything, this LED should be a confirmation that we will see a GL, and in that variant. I actually really like this design, it stays true to what we saw in the game and I was really itching to own my own GL that didn't look like that hideous SDCC promo (thank Lego for not putting that horrid movie design in a set) and actually looks cool. I really want a GL minifigure, but I think I'll drop the Superheroes line completely if he comes in a Batman set. The fact that Lex Luthor is the only non-Batman comic based figure we have in this line is just sad. Marvel seems to be doing it, why can't we? If you're just going to give us Batman characters, at least give us Deadshot already. I don't know about you guys, but I think the diversity in the DC wave(s) is just sad. In other news, I went to my local Toys R Us about 2 weeks ago, and they only had the Riddler Chase and Man-Bat attack there, and to think I really wanted my own Batgirl minifigure. Quote
Moon_Knight Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 (edited) Since we're all talking Flash, I thought I'd break this to you. Imagine getting a minifig of this version: That mask looks awesome. I hope it's as good as Arrow. I've been loving that show. I've read rumors of Stephen Amell possibly reprising his role as Green Arrow in the future JLA movie just because the show's done so well. The Steamroller isn't out yet. I don't mind Bats as he's my favorite Justice League character, just as long as we get more variants and different heroes with him. I think we'll most likely see a GL/Supes team up, though I'd love a Yellow Lantern Batman. Quote
B-Lister Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 I saw the Steamroller at TRU last week, actually. Quote

I know good and well Lego wants to stay the world best selling toy company, so I'm sure they're reading these forums to please us. Tha brings me hope that they're designing more diverse sets, I want to be able to change the roster of my Justice League, why can't Katana and Catwoman meet up with Martian Manhunter and the Bats to go on a mission in Shangai while Wonder Woman and Aquaman give themselves nasty looks and fight over graham crackers? The Avengers can do it, I think we can too. Even if DC isn't what it used to be, they still have standards to live up to, now while I'm not a blind DC loyalist, I do think they have some great things they can put out there, and as far as Lego goes, it's about time to do so. Hope I didn't really go off topic, but I can never stress how badly I want this line to diversify. It has it's head so wrapped around Batman that people are starting to question DC's diversity. Just some 30 pages ago people were questioning DC's racial diversity when they have plenty of black heroes to list. Cyborg, John Stewart, Bumblebee, Black Lightning, Static Shock, Warhawk, Vixen and much much more. This line is begging to prove itself time after time and really, I think its about time. Quote
B-Lister Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Blue Beetle has gotten pretty popular. He's one of DC's most recognizable teen heroes. Quote

Well, Cyborg is bound to be in a set by next year, so. BL, SS, BB and Vix are characters that aren't known very well. Warhawk isn't even black(I think), and John will come in time. But I mean, We have a Martian, an Amazon, A speedster, a Kryptonian, an Atlantian, An Intergalactic soldier, and a Vigilante. That's a LOT of diversity. To me anyways. "why can't Katana and Catwoman meet up with Martian Manhunter and the Bats to go on a mission in Shangai while Wonder Woman and Aquaman give themselves nasty looks and fight over graham crackers?" I'm not ALL that happy with DC, but I do enjoy the characters we do have. I more or less want more female characters: Black Canary, Huntress, Spoiler, Hawkgirl/Woman, etc. I'd also like more B- and C- and D-list characters: Green Arrow(B-lister), Vigilante, Shining Kinight, Question(D-listers), Captain Atom, THE Atom, Booster Gold, Red Tornado, Blue Beetle(all B-C Listers). But as the line progresses, we'll see our wishlist steadily complete. Quote

My friend, you need to scale back your authoritative tone, I think it's what's getting you into so much trouble around here. How do you know it isn't out yet, esp. In the USA? Do you have a TLG logistics plan in your possession? It's funny, because I've held that very set in my hands on at least 2 occasions, on American soil. Enjoy yourself, and as I say, let the conversation roam where it may. We're all friends here. Quote
strangely Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 (edited) While having Batman is nice, there's obviously so much more room for potential, so why not demand it? Well that's true, but at the end of the day it's mostly out of their control. DC sets the roster and they base that off of what's popular and what they expect to do well. Marvel has an advantage, they have a movie universe in place and TV shows that tie into it (Even USM takes elements from the MCU). They make it a point to expand the universe with every new movie and show. So ultimately the universe gets bigger and bigger for them which in turn means Marvel sets end up having a more diverse line. DC on the other hand doesn't have that luxury, they have one movie in their universe so far and a few unrelated TV shows (All varying in popularity). The fact is that Batman is the only one of their characters that is pretty constantly getting media exposure. There's an endless amount of TV shows and movies. Even the older stuff is so constantly circulated it keeps fresh in mind. Ultimately until DC gets their movies and shows to a more developed point they'll continue to let Batman anchor the Lego line. I think there are great things in store for the DC side of the theme, it's all a matter of waiting for WB to finally make a move and create a stable movie universe. B-Lister Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 I agree more females are needed, but diversity means real world diversity, not fictional diversity. DC has loads of characters of all racial and ethnic backgrounds, and I hope to see plenty of them going forward. Quote
Dr.Cogg Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 I saw the steamroller at ,Target ,Fred Meyer and Toys"r"us. P.S. you can see the last GotG set here http://www.jeditempl...lBook_LoRes.pdf page 57 Quote

Royv Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 All the new Super Heroes sets are back in stock at the Lego online store, and the MM exclusive is now available. Just made two separate orders to grab two of them Quote
B-Lister Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 I will make my order Monday or Tuesday at the latest. Quote
DarthBrickus Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Does anyone have any info about the Martian Manhunter Promo in Germany? Seems like we get the "piece de resistance"-polybag instead Quote
