I've said this time and time again, TLG are missing a golden opportunity for SHIELD love with the vehicles in the Spiderman Sets.

I agree. I feel like slapping shield on any vehicle would result in a whole lot more people buying more than one of the same set. Being able to amass a nice SHIELD fleet of vehicles and agents would be a great move by LEGO.

It wouldn't have a great variety though. At the moment it's ok, but if we moved towards SHIELD vehicles constantly it would be very similar to DC.

With the DC sets it's mostly just been black vehicles, sure there's a villain vehicle but it's mostly just black parts. At least with MARVEL there been some variety but, converting most of the vehicles to SHIELD would just cover the sets in Dark blue pieces. I know people are fed up with the spider vehicles but at least we've only had 3 of them, and only two of them have matching colour schemes. It would get repetitive real fast and suck the colour from the sets.

A valid point, Sam. Have you played Marvel Superheroes? You have to agree that at least the SHIELD APC and SHIELD Helicopter would be nice, maybe even the RAFT Truck. ;)

I understand what you are saying, but I would still like to see a better balance from crazy colored vehicles and some SHIELD stuff. I'm not advocating a complete switch of all vehicles to SHIELD stuff, but a couple here or there would be nice. I wouldn't even mind the Spidey vehicles if they were accompanied by a SHIELD build as well. I would have gladly paid $30 for the Doc Ock bank truck heist set if it also included a SHIELD vehicle with an agent chasing down Ock.

I keep on hearing about the "S.H.I.E.L.D Helicopter" vehicle, but none of them are named exactly that. Do you mean the Raft Helicopter (all gray)?

Yes. :) It has some Earth Blue Highlights on it as well. :)

2006 version seems like a good substitute. I am still surprised how Lego uses Keaton-man in so many sets and even made Nicholson Joker.

Its a shame they haven't made a Phieffer Catwoman yet.

Just a warning for those who don't want know stuff that might or might not be in Age Of Ultron, read further at your own risk.

No kevkipo, but it seems to be a very, very good "hunch" as they appear to play a significant part in the film, (and, if most likely, and I mean likely, they join the team like in the comics, both in the original and Ultimate universe) Lego not making the entire superhero cast would be shocking and surprising.

Just a quick note for those hoping that the mid May VIP exclusive was a 66 Batmobile it seems it isn't. After speaking to a Lego staff member yesterday they seemed to think it was the Carousel that was coming out. Ecto-1 is later in the summer.

Could anyone here recommend the man bat attack set, but also give me a reason other than nightwing?

See, I want to like it, but it looks hideous!

Take a look at the last couple pages because I am pretty sure someone else asked that exact same questions and a few people responded to it :classic:

TLG will undoubtedly want to release all of the avengers featured in the film, probably spread across four or five sets again though.

This time there's 9 avengers, so we should be getting at least two in every set (apart from the £13)

That's how it was last time, with 2 in each set except the Cap set. This time I'm guessing there's less repeats, unless there's 2 Iron man suits. There's also some non Avengers in the film, like Rhodey who they might shoehorn into sets.

Wait, nine...?

*In head* Cap, Tony, Bruce, Thor, Hawk, Widow, Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver... *Counts*

You're including Vision, then? I'd guess maybe:

Largest set -Anywhere from $70-$100

-Ultron

-Ultron-bot/clone (x2?) -(Idk what they are, but the things in that Quicksilver concept art)

-Vision

-Cap or Iron Man

-Thor or Hulk

-Black Widow (With a better face, please)

(Essentially any three heroes and Vision -main battle?)

Mediumish set -$50

-Ultron

-Hawkeye

-Scarlet Witch

-Quicksilver

-Civilian?

(Basing this off of that first bit of filming we saw)

Medium-Small set -$20

-Ultron

-Vision

-Tony Stark

-Bruce Banner

(Ulrton/Vision's creation! Idk the story very well, but a Bruce Banner 'fig would be epic and he's science-y  )

Small set -$10

-Ultron-bot

-Thor

-Cap or Iron Man (Whichever's not in the biggest set)

Also another set, I have no clue what kind of size but there is only one necessity:

-Hulk

-Hulkbuster suit

So yeah, obviously I have no clue what the plot will be, and who'll be in what scenes, etc, but my point is basically that I think it's reasonable to expect a double 'fig or two- At least a double of a character, even if they're not the same. I'm guessing they'll go with at least five sets for this one, considering the amount of hype that will obviously be going on and the massive success of the first movie.

I was hoping that most of next year's sets are Avengers 2. I'd hope at least six as there were 10 sets this year. This would be ideal:

January: CATWS set (like with TDKR) with Cap, Fury, Winter soldier and maybe falcon and some sort of vehicle and then ASM2 set with Electro, Movie Spiderman, Gwen, goblin and a couple of pylons and the clock tower and GG's Glider. Then maybe one smaller final set with Coulson and Hill fighting some villain to tie in with AOS and Coulson's car.

May: Six Avengers 2 sets then they can cover all bases with characters.

July: Exclusive either another xmen or an ant man set (seems unlikely due to the low anticipation for movie)

That's what I would do If I was given the big red button to push!

The movie is over a year away, so of course it isn't very anticipated yet. Neither was Guardians of the Galaxy, but plenty of people seem pretty hyped for it now that the trailers have started. Unless Age of Ultron is almost universally hated, which would be a huge surprise, then Ant-Man will probably do pretty well as long as the trailers don't make it out to look terrible. We may not get movie based sets though, considering that LEGO may only be able to produce a toyline based on one Marvel movie per year without paying an additional fee and it seems insane to me to not pick the Avengers, I fully expect that Ant-Man (and hopefully Wasp) will appear in a set in 2015, whether it be his own or with the comic/cartoon Avengers we got this year.

I can imagine a third X-Men set ( hopefully with Professor X and Beast or Iceman and Gambit ), but I don't think they are going to do an Ant-Man set next year...But I look forward to a SDCC minifigure of Ant-Man.

How can anyone look forward to a sdcc exclusive minifigure? Another minifig that only can be obtained by a few. I spit on sdcc exclusives

For me, It is an easy pass. Nightwing is the only real draw for that set unless you get it at a nice discount because the helicopter pieces look kind of useful. As for the actual build, I would get it if I didn't already have a few helicopters. :sceptic:

The Hulkbuster vs. Hulk scene looks like its going to be fairly iconic, and TLG will want to capitalise on that. They'd be foolish not to base a set around that fight.

Im hoping we get a set with Von Strucker and some Hydra stuff in, and yes when I said 9, I was counting Vision, who was accidently confirmed by Paul Bettany a week or so ago.

My thoughts exactly. And if they didn't wanna make it a bigfig, there's also the possibility of brick-built.

As for Vision, I thought he'd been pretty well confirmed a long while ago?
