Sam892 Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 Where has it been officially stated that the batman design is from BTB? Unless there is a source then it is pure speculation just like the Arkham minifigs. The 2014 Batman is identical to BTB bat suit. It has the same utility belt, colour design, logo used and on top of that its clearly the same bat mobile. The 'Arkham' robin however is different as he doesn't have a new print for either Head or Torso. Also in regards to an earlier comment on the LEGO Batman 2 posters, they are not made by LEGO. They are made by TT games who while are employed by LEGO, mostly made the posters due to the fact that they are owned by WB games. LEGO most likely had very little to do with those posters. Quote

I did say I thought I might have been wrong, it is all pure speculation, but nonetheless it is more than likely that the Riddler Chase set is based off of BWTB. But of course that is pure speculation that comes from observation. Quote

Navy Trooper Fenson Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 Where has it been officially stated that the batman design is from BTB? Unless there is a source then it is pure speculation just like the Arkham minifigs. Even if it isn´t branded as a Beware set, who cares? As long as the designs are fitting/identical it is a toy for the show. Always this need for official clarification of the most trivial things when LEGO is notorious for never talking about upcoming themes and sometimes even the stuff that is already on shelves. I did say I thought I might have been wrong, it is all pure speculation, but nonetheless it is more than likely that the Riddler Chase set is based off of BWTB. But of course that is pure speculation that comes from observation. The whole set can´t be based on the show anyway. Riddler was already ruled out of appearing there as he is too mainstream for the show and I wouldn´t bet on Flash ever appearing in this show, he is not really fitting with the tone of this show and cameos of other A-Listers in a Batman show normally take until the last season. Can't we all just be glad we even got the theme? No. Quote
APC99 Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 I was wondering... since we ARE getting a modified Flash, and we're also supposedly getting the USM Green Goblin next year too, will we see more characters from the video games enter sets in 2014? For instance, just getting the Fantasic 4, Daredevil, and mainstream available versions of Green Lantern and Green Arrow would be sweet! Quote

Im gonna say yes and no, the videogame has like EVERYBODY in them so almsot any new characther would be characthers already seen in the game. Quote
Dr Leg O Brick Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 Any news on Marvel stuff, like the X Men sets? IMO, I don't think Marvel could let DC do a £130 set without themselves doing the same thing, so I'm hoping for a Blackbird, Baxter Building, Avengers Mansion, Danger Room etc. And where was the Ultimate Green Goblin confirmed? For instance, just getting the Fantasic 4, Daredevil, and mainstream available versions of Green Lantern and Green Arrow would be sweet! Depending on what you count as "from the video games". Flash isn´t from the games, his hat/helmet is different as well as his general design but USM Goblin is confirmed to be released 1 to 1. I guess there are some more figs in LEGO Marvel Superheroes beside Goblin that tie in with sets, they apparently saw a whole wave but LEGO Batman 2 can´t give us more 1 to 1 designs. At least one X-Men set is confirmed, some Con people said it would be here in September but you see how that turned out. A S@H exclusive set for X-Men is most likely to be released in 2014, I bet on a release tying in with the new movie around July. Could also be a good tie-in for a new S@H promo fig like Hulk and Jor-El. In a Gamespot video from Comic-Con they said USM Gobby will also be in a new set. Someone else in this thread said the devs have seen the whole wave of the first half of the year so there could be even more set characters in this game. Quote
Legoman123 Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 What's the usual date that we will be seeing pictures for this wave, and also conformation on Marvel set names ? Quote
just2good Posted September 7, 2013 Author Posted September 7, 2013 What's the usual date that we will be seeing pictures for this wave, and also conformation on Marvel set names ? Mid-September was when we got the Marvel names last year, and while early October was when we got the first set pictures for the January releases, it was at NYCC (besides the D2C Arkham). But, we got the rest of the January wave set pictures in mid-October, so I guess we'll see 'em then. Quote

Dc and marvel are being treated as individuals. Lego pays marvel for the lisence and can do as they please with it within the agreements they have. Its more right from lego's side to spread the love for fans on both sided of the dc/marvel fence. Quote
Dr Leg O Brick Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Thanks Navy Trooper Fenson! That’s fantastic, looks like I'm going to be on a spending spree to get the Marvel sets from this year. And I know this of topic, but upon looking at the Tower of Orthanc, I'm betting now its a Blackbird, Truck load of X Men and a Sentinel. Dc and marvel are being treated as individuals. Lego pays marvel for the lisence and can do as they please with it within the agreements they have. Its more right from lego's side to spread the love for fans on both sided of the dc/marvel fence. Oh, I understand that. But surely with the rivalry between the two, that Marvel having at least a passive say into what's made and what price points, that they might ask for a D2C set as DC have. Wishful thinking, I know. Quote

Oh, I understand that. But surely with the rivalry between the two, that Marvel having at least a passive say into what's made and what price points, that they might ask for a D2C set as DC have. Wishful thinking, I know. LEGO treats Marvel and DC exactly the same with the sets general price points and amount of releases. Aquaman on Ice = Furys Flying Car Dark Knight Rises set = Malibu Mansion Metropolis Showdown = flamethrower golf cart Black zero Escape = Speedboat chase Smallville Battle = Daily Bugle This extents even in petty ways like: Robin polybag = Iron Man polybag 2 DC Comic-Con exclusive figs = 2 Marvel Comic-Con exclusive figs And in a yearly turn: 2012 DC Game preorder fig Lex Luthor = 2013 Marvel Game preorder fig Iron Patriot 2012 Marvel S@H promo fig Hulk = 2013 DC S@H promo fig Jor-El They don´t confirm an "equality rule" when asking the customer service or anybody else but it is pretty obvious, otherwise we would have gotten announcements for Thor 2 sets a long time ago and Marvels line would be much bigger with 5 sets per movie. So, a D2C set is basically confirmed. It doesn´t have to be X-Men but it is Marvel and it would be a logical choice since USM and current movies don´t lend themselves that good for a D2C set. Quote
Legoman123 Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 The D2C set could be... X-Mansion, Stark Tower, or The Helicarrier. But personally I think it is going to be one of those I just said. Quote
Freddy Bricker Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Hopefully it is an X-Mansion, I've been in desperate need for more X-Men, I just hope they announce it before November. Quote

If there is going to be a D2C, it will most likely be released in January, and in that case, it will be revealed in early October (like the Arkham D2C which followed that release pattern). Quote
The Joker1 Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 (edited) Didn't we see leaked pics of Joker in his Arkham jumpsuit around this time last year? And yes last year Arkham was officially unveiled on October 12th . Edited September 8, 2013 by The Joker1 Quote

legofreak86 Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 (edited) Its a shame but Lego aren't at NY comic con this year so no special reveals: http://www.thebrickfan.com/lego-new-york-comic-con-2013/ I reckon the closest we'll know is close to Christmas when the sets start hitting the shelves and the official pictures. IT would be nice if marvel got an expensive exclusive this year like stark tower or the helicarrier or x mansion. Who knows.. Edited September 8, 2013 by legofreak86 Quote

Who knows.. well last was the first year LEGO was present at the event representing themselves, before that they had people selling sets and maybe Lucas Film and such revealing things. in 2011 they had DC show the Batcave, so maybe DC will reveal a set and maybe Marvel will reveal a set, maybe the Spidey Goblin set. I just realized that the had a new version of a character (Bane) new Harley and Joker varaints, a re-release of a character from the previous (Ivy) and some new characters and redesigns of a couple characters. That seems to be the same with this wave new version of Riddler, new Joker varaint and i guess a Harley (maybe her New 52), re-release of Penguin, new characters Batgirl or Katana (in the Roller) and Man- Bat, redesigns of Robin or Nightwing ( i hope it him) and i'm gonna guess a redesign of Croc Forgot a couple variations of Batman, and a non Batman hero (Flash) Edited September 8, 2013 by daniel gourhan22 Quote

DJ Bricks Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 I'd rather have a duplicate Harley than the New 52 version. I know, she barely is wearing anything, then again so is WW, so we could seeing how some characters are starting to have their New 52 appearance so Quinn might. I like her hair, but may i ask why you dislike it? Quote
strangely Posted September 9, 2013 Posted September 9, 2013 I sort of doubt we'll see a variation of Harley Quinn that completely matches her new 52 look. It is a little bit much for a child's toy. I'm sure we'll see something new 52 inspired, but definitely a toned down version at best. Either way I hope we get a hairpiece matching Harley's new 52 look. Quote
