badbob001 Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 I'm going to guess that the box will highlight the 'boy' appeal for this set, which is the flower launcher and all those circular targets. That snail is so duplo. Now won't it be crazy if they actually have a set with some duplo pieces to correspond to a duplo scene in the movie? Seriously I suspect this line of sets will be all over the place in terms of weirdness and the only thing keeping it grounded are the well done minifigures. Quote
WaysofSorting Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 Wow - yeah the Uni-Kitty is wildly weird and fun. I like those eye tiles on the snail and suspect the "bronie-factor" may help sales on this one. The unikitty itself (What is the tail piece, I wonder) may be a valuable "single" figure in its own right. I have no idea what's going on in that set, but I like it! Can't wait for the movie... Quote
BrickQueen Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 Haha I think that's a great set! I can't wait to see more! Quote
Brickadiergerard Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 Not sure of his name but at 1:31 in the trailer, there's a historical looking guy between abe and the series 9 policeman. Any ideas? That'll be Shakespeare then. You know, the guy you can hear spinning in his grave in Stratford because one of his fellow countrymen didn't recognise a tiny plastic cartoon version of him. :-) Quote
Niku Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 While I have had enough of Batman sets, I actually wouldn't mind if that Batmobile from the movie became a set. All the space vehicles would be cool to have too! I think many of us would prefer the Invisible Jet. Quote
BrickQueen Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 Aren't there supposed to be like 16 or 17 sets based on the movie?? We've only seen 2 so far. Quote
Niku Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 Aren't there supposed to be like 16 or 17 sets based on the movie?? We've only seen 2 so far. Probably not yet revealed for the spoilers they may have. Quote
CptPJs Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 I've never bought multiples of a set before but I'm tempted to buy about ten and build a huge fort for Uni-Kitty to live in. Add in some Friends sets and the slide... just me then? :P Quote

bacem Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 I think many of us would prefer the Invisible Jet. agreed. that invisible jet definitely have some unique building technique to make the invisible looks. probably a lot of SNOT. or new parts in invisible colors. Quote
Blondie-Wan Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 Aren't there supposed to be like 16 or 17 sets based on the movie?? We've only seen 2 so far. 2, or 3, or 18, depending upon how one counts the Series 12 Minifigures. But that said, it's still early. The movie itself isn't out until February. We only got to see most of this year's sets for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug just weeks ago, and that movie's coming out a couple months before The LEGO Movie. I could see getting the rest of the (initial wave of?) TLM sets being revealed any time from now until late January. Quote
TheLazyChicken Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 I really like how the fool's palace set looks like. Might want to get it for that adorable snail. :-) Quote
GregoryBrick Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 The stud with the whole in the middle? Nice! Could you describe where in the image you see this element? I don't see it anywhere. Quote
CM4Sci Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 Could you describe where in the image you see this element? I don't see it anywhere. Used to hold Uni-Kitty's horn. Nice to see this appearing again! -Sci Quote
Oky Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 I think I just got diabetes just by looking at that set. Wow, what a bizarre set. It's so cute and weird that you just have to love it! A nice parts pack for sure. I will probably skip this one since I don't know what I'd do with it, but maybe the movie will change my mind. The Executron minifig reminds me of Sentinel Decker from LEGO City Undercover. It reminds me of Agent Coulson from LEGO Marvel Superheroes. I will call him Robo-Coulson from now on. This is a neat mashup between the friends theme and lego action themes. I think this set is too surreal to be compared to any Lego theme. Sure, it uses the same colors as Friends, but a palace made out of candy on a cloud and guarded by a unicorn kitten and a snail isn't exactly something you would see in either of those themes. By the way, seeing as there are so many Wild West themed figs in the CMF series, is it safe to assume that there wont be many Western themed sets? Would probably be a disappointment for many people, even though we just got the Lone Ranger sets. Quote
Bricknblue Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 If it's only $20 I will be very happy for the crazy parts alone! Quote

Would probably be a disappointment for many people, even though we just got the Lone Ranger sets. I think we will see a western set seeing as how the western scenes are promient in the trailer and how the new series 12 minifigures have 3 western characters. I really hope we see the rest of the sets soon! Quote
Tom Jurassic Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 Agreed. I like the look of this set, could work very well as part of a city-styled theme park or something. Can not wait for the rest of these sets! :D Quote
lifeinplastic Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 agreed. that invisible jet definitely have some unique building technique to make the invisible looks. probably a lot of SNOT. or new parts in invisible colors. I managed to find a leaked pic of this set... see below... . Quote
just2good Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 (edited) And I found this! {pic} -Sci Wow, nice find Sci! Where did you find this? I... I definitely do not get this theme at all. And I like that about it. Oh, it's from Hoth Bricks. Still, thanks! Edited November 2, 2013 by just2good Quote

jamesster Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 (edited) So, there's a brick-built nine volt battery, and a brick built tube of krazy glue with the letters crossed out/written in to form the word "kragle", and it's being used to glue some poor policeman minifigures in place. Fits in with what we know so far: Kinda funny to see everyday items like the battery and glue tube built to scale out of LEGO pieces in a real set. I wonder if they'll be actual real-world objects in the movie, not brick built like this? Vitruvius's staff in the movie is a half-eaten candy thing after all. Also, lol, a "where are my pants?" sign. Oh, and remember this from some of the early descriptions of the movie? ... and Alison Brie (NBC's Community) as a sweet, loveable member of the team, with a powerful secret. Now we know Alison Brie is playing Uni-Kitty. So Uni-Kitty has some sort of pretty major role. Edited November 2, 2013 by jamesster Quote
CM4Sci Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 Also, I was so right on how they were going to make Vitrivius's staff! -Sci Quote
Shakar Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 Weeell, this is getting weirder and weirder. Lord Business looks hilarious, then again I guess that was done on purpose. I wonder how his cape can be reused... And what did they do to poor Unikitty? She (?) 's got glasses and a € cutie mark. Quote
