Tamamono Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 I'll Vote: Brittney Alfredo (Piratedave84) So that we can Lynch her and get an anchor in this hunt. I also suggest that anyone not voting Alfredo right now who's online change to Alfredo so that we get this crucial anchor and not have a lynchless day one. *falsetto* Yes, this, dahlings. The bandwagon that's popped up against her is... a bit unsettling, but I still think she's the best lynch (especially with her shitty defense). If nothing else, we'll learn more from her lynch than from a No Lynch.
Capt. Redblade Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 I would like to know exactly what pinged you about it? If you're saying I think we shouldn't analyze, you'd be daft. I said that overthinking things like 'too much roleplaying', 'lurking', 'fluff posting', etc., is a good way to lynch Town D1. Analyzing and overthinking are almost opposites. With that said, I will proceed to Vote: Brittney Alfredo (Piratedave84) for the reasons I presented in my analysis above. So, are you saying we should not analyze? The thing about Day One is there's usually some room for error, so it's not a national tragedy if we lynch a fluff-poster. If people can't find something to contribute to the game, then we have to wonder if they're trying to hide or if they simply can't be arsed to do anything. I don't agree with your assessment that "most townie will be 'scum-telling'". Certainly a few might be acting cagey and refusing to stick their necks out too far, but I think you'll find that the vast majority of townies will want to do their part to help the town and make it clear that they're helping the town. That usually does take the form of close analysis. It sounds to me like you're giving people a free pass to act scummy and suspicious, simply because it's Day One. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a dance number to rehearse. *Attempts to tap dance. Trips on shoelace and faceplants hard* See the part in bold text. That is what pinged me about it. Perhaps you should have read that a bit more carefully during your analysis, eh? We need a lynch today, and it looks like Brittney's number is up. As Danyelle said, Brittney's behaviour today does not jibe with her usual behaviour, and I think the drunk defence is a pretty poor excuse for what has generally been a pretty flaily first day. Brittney's vote for Carlisa held no water and was called out as more than a bit OMFGUS. What's worse is she didn't even have the decency to stubbornly stick by it as an out-of-depth townie might do. Her early posts were totally lacking in substance, and I fancy I have known Brittney well enough in other lives to know that's unlike her. Vote: Brittney Alfredo (Piratedave84)
Peanuts Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 *falsetto* So active people are naturally scum? The fact that I'm trying to help town means I'm trying to eat your brains??? Of course I'm asking you to stop. How would you like it if you were trying to be active and encourage people in town to actually think with their brains and then along comes some random guy (who, I remind you, has done literally nothing but tell bad stories and try to get me lynched) with a vendetta against you? You're literally picking at my words and turning everything against me when I'm one of the towniest townies here. You'd have a lot more luck trying to randomly incriminate someone else. At first I thought you might be scum trying to undermine me because you saw my attempts at actually being helpful as threatening. Now I'm thinking it's more along the lines of you just trying to piss me off. megabluck off. And no, my getting pissed at you is not a scumtell, it's a tell of someone who has had it up to here with your stupidity. Learn the difference. While Romeo's accusations are fairly half-baked and unsubstantial, I find it a bit odd that you feel the need to point out how you are "one of the towniest townies". I don't say it's strange that you are more active than others, and I appreciate that you are, but so far all you've done is hammering Brittney. Now you react rather harsh to being criticized (even though Romeo's criticism is completely unfounded). My best guess is that you're trying to establish yourself as center of the town block, which isn't scummy, but I won't say I've got a towntell on you yet. I won't say that Brittney's claim (having been drunk) is unlikely, her contributions are usually better than what we've seen at the start of the day. But we need a lynch and her defense has been lacking. Also, there's a saying that goes "In Vino Veritas" Thus I Vote: Brittney Alfredo (Piratedave) *to Henry* Aren't you going to vote, Henry? Oh right, you're not allowed to vote. No, I don't think that's personal, they only let humans vote, I think. Ha, you're right. "In Coma Veritas". Reminds, I need to style my hair instantly! *end of monologue*
mostlytechnic Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 That is a good logic to vote for somebody fanciullesco... I did actually return, now. Okay (not ok-ey) 24 hours later but I did return What should I say, hmm not really getting into this thing, Bella Brittaney seems to get all the hate but that is no reason for me to vote for her because I have no clue. Melanie voting for me and also her strange game/voting logic, ala lets not vote is a bit off. So I am gonna go with her and make a better job getting up tomorrow Well, at least if you're going to OMGUS vote you're honest about it. And how was I supposed to know that you'd reappear right before the end of the day, when you hadn't been around? And even now, you make a single post with no content other than an OMGUS vote. So my vote stands. *falsetto* Yes, this, dahlings. The bandwagon that's popped up against her is... a bit unsettling, but I still think she's the best lynch (especially with her shitty defense). If nothing else, we'll learn more from her lynch than from a No Lynch. Personally, I suspect that Britt will turn up town and that's why I haven't moved my vote. This steady bandwagon that's built is extremely suspicious to me - not that she hasn't acted weirdly, but it looks very much to me like the scum saw an easy target and have jumped on. I'm looking forward to a nice case of "I-Told-You-So-itis" tomorrow.

TrumpetKing Posted July 29, 2013 Author Posted July 29, 2013 (edited) Day Conclusion "LYNCH THE MOONNNNSTTEERRRR!!!!!" Brittney's voters yell as they charge quickly toward her, except Balthasar, who's found himself another ball. "I'm innocent, I say! Innocent! A quick game of Risk will help with that!" Brittney screams in response. Fluffy, who has very quickly grown tired of discussion, waiting for something exciting, such as an eighth meal, runs in front of the mob, takes Balthasar's ball, and pegs Brittney in the face. "Argghdksndjfjdjfhgghhhhhh!!1!!11!" Fluffy screams, emphasizing the "one-clamation marks" Brittney screams in pain, and her last words are "Ow!!" as she falls off the balcony. Brittney falls down to the very bottom, hitting the stainless-steel register counter, and fracturing her skull on the ground, without any blood in a rather unrealistic death. But the point is, Brittney Alfredo (Piratedave84), is dead, and the narrator himself senses more deaths to come. Edited July 29, 2013 by TrumpetKing
