PenPlays Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 i think they should do more sets with the fox/skunk minifigs. I'm not a big fan of the spider and scorpion tribes so itd be good if we had foxes instead. I agree. More Nomad sets would have been awesome. There's a good chance we won't see them again though, as more focus will be be put into other new characters. Quote
Tahu23 Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 Shadowind and Scolder Poster. Scorpion Tribe Construction Figure anyone? Quote
Shakar Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 I would agree if it weren't for the fact no Scorpion was present in the list. There's one ~20 Euro figure with an unknown name along Sir Fangus (sp), but I doubt that they'd make both larger figures bad guys. Plus all figures seem to be based on the Summer arc, so one single character from the previous wave would be unusual. Quote
refriedbeans Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 Shadowind's art is really cool as is the Chi-ed up Scorpion! Quote
Csacsa234 Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 (edited) That poster is gorgeus especially Scolder's CHI look. Is this Shadowind and Lavertus are the same? I've read it on Brickipedia. Edited January 5, 2014 by Csacsa234 Quote
krystalKING Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 That poster is gorgeus especially Scolder's CHI look. Is this Shadowind and Lavertus are the same? I've read it on Brickipedia. Yeah, warning, SPOILERS AHEAD: Lavertus is banished but disguises himself as ShadoWind to race in the competitions. Quote
Infernum Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 WAY too many new tribes. Fire and Ice could be interesting though. Love the spider polybag! Quote
Csacsa234 Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 Yeah, warning, SPOILERS AHEAD: Lavertus is banished but disguises himself as ShadoWind to race in the competitions. Yes I saw the series, thanks for the confirmation. I really want to get him, he looks freaking awesome, I mean the black version, but the othe looks great too. Quote

Tobias_Jay Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 (edited) They all sound interesting. Could this be another part of the Outlands? I am also disappointed to hear there aren't any bears yet. Also 70145 also has Worriz and Razar as it says in the mini-description under the piece count, set number, etc. Edited January 6, 2014 by Wall E2624 Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Yes! the ravens are back. Why didn't they get a legend beast. Most of these sets sound interesting, i'm curious to see the actual sets. Quote
krystalKING Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 The amount of pieces in the flying fire Phoenix temple (1301) Says that this might be a decent set. And Phoenixes! YAY! Quote
Aanchir Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Yes! the ravens are back. Why didn't they get a legend beast. Most of these sets sound interesting, i'm curious to see the actual sets. I'm guessing that when planning the theme, TLG's marketing people just decided five Legend Beasts was the number to have. It's not their usual number for similarly-sized sets like that (multiples of three or six are more typical), but perhaps that's all they perceived demand for within one year. I'm definitely hoping for more Legend Beast sets in the future. Quote
Tobias_Jay Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Well after seeing LEGO's accidental leak of episode 25, Raven, Rhino and Bear legend beasts do exist. Why they weren't made in physical form is strange as they share the same amount of screen time as the other beasts. Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 By the looks of it fire is good and ice is bad Quote
CM4Sci Posted January 7, 2014 Author Posted January 7, 2014 Well after seeing LEGO's accidental leak of episode 25 Huh? -Sci Quote
PenPlays Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Huh? -Sci Show thread. The episode bothers me, especially in the way they portray the Outlanders. They used to seem so cool, but now... Will this stop me from getting the sets? No. But I think we can all agree that the Chima TV show hasn't entirely the best quality, especially when you have only the Lego sets to go by. Quote
Csacsa234 Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 (edited) Itts great to hear about the new sets. I'm curious Who this Lundor is, maybe a female member of the lion tribe... Nice find Aanchir. Edited January 7, 2014 by Csacsa234 Quote
DraikNova Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Heh, another Fire Temple, this time probably with cheesy wing aesthetics. Although, as it has done in the past, Chima may surprise us pleasantly again and integrate some more logical means of propulsion into the vehicle/building. Maybe some turbines integrated into the floor or some fake wings? Also, what tribe is Strainor from? The Sabre-Tooth Walker and Mammoth Stomper seem quite interesting; I want to see how LEGO handles making a four-legged mech, although chances are that it'll just be another "traditional" tracked or wheeled vehicle. Quote
Freddy Bricker Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 By the looks of it fire is good and ice is bad Well the one fire character with a name comes in a set with Gorzan (a hero) and Maula, who I hope/think is female comes in a set with 2 former villains so it's possible it's the other way around. Though I could very much see you being right on this, that would make the minifigure selection for the Sir Fangars set very awkward. Oh wait never mind, Sir Fangar is a Sabre Tooth tiger, not a fire character, though will these be represented as phoenix's? If so, then Lego really needs to come out with a Dark Phoenix for Marvel. Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 We see Eris and Laval both as fire characters, and as you said Sir Faner as a saber toothed tiger. I've always felt very opposite with the two elements. I've always thought of Fire as bad and Ice as good. Could just be me Quote
Shakar Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 One of the Speedor sets is even called Fire vs Ice and stages the (possibly final) faceoff between Laval and Fangar. I don't see how there could be any doubt: the wave is based on the classical conflict between Fire, represented by the good guys, and Ice, represented by the bad guys. Quote
DraikNova Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 (edited) I myself always see fire and ice as a reaction involving oxygen and the solid form of a particularly common substance, respectively. I wonder what themed parts will be introduced, though. I'd like some sort of ice shard piece. Edited January 8, 2014 by DraikNova Quote
The Real Indiana Jones Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 (edited) I wonder if we will see this shady character in the next wave? That is, of course, if he isn't a character that we already know in disguise. Hmmm... Warthogs and Rhinos? Rocksteady and Bebop, anyone? And could someone do a quick recap for all of us.... What are all the newer tribes coming out, perhaps with the names of the members listed too...! Thanks! =D I'm going to get a lot of them, because they make really cool Ancient and Primordial gods!
