Southwest Chief Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 Being a big fan of the Mel Brooks movie, Robin Hood Men in Tights, I thought I'd update some of my old classic Lego Forestmen with new heads to look like the characters from the movie. There are a few new figures as well to round out the mini scene. All your favorites are here, including Ahchoo, Blinkin, Robin Hood, Maid Marian, and the Sheriff of Rottingham. And in the back is Little John, Will Scarlet O'Hara, and two other Merry Men. I'm working on Don Giovanni, Latrine, and Prince John. Quote
Speedboat Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 These look great, well done! I always thought the Forestman from Minifig series 1 looked like Cary Elwes as Robin Hood. But you're still missing Mel Brooks as the rabbi. Quote

lightningtiger Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 Great collection of merry men, very merry men in tights.....Yesss ! But where's Mel Brook's character in there eh ? Brick On in tights 'Southwest Chief' ! Quote
Niku Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 Good luck with the project, the characters are recognizable, the hair and head pieces depict them well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RtmbZnXSQ7k I had to put the video. Avalonian puns in 3,2,1... Quote
Ecclesiastes Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 Nice! When the forrestmen came out I actually linked him rigt away to robin hood from men in tights. Fun to see the other characters as well now! Quote
Southwest Chief Posted August 24, 2013 Author Posted August 24, 2013 Mini update. I think I've found a good combination of parts to make a few more characters. Of course I don't have all the parts at the moment. But when they come in I'll post some more photos of the other characters. Quote
TheLegoDr Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 Great job here. I loved that movie growing up. Keep up the good work. Quote

kermit Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 Just like in the movie. The lady with the blue dress, where did you get that torso? Quote
Southwest Chief Posted September 17, 2013 Author Posted September 17, 2013 (edited) The lady with the blue dress, where did you get that torso? That's Queen Leonora, I changed the face and hair. Oh wait maybe you mean the purple dress. That is a Lord of the Rings figure; Arwen, I changed the face, hair, and hands. Edited September 17, 2013 by Southwest Chief Quote

Robin Creations Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 (edited) Nice job with the figs. I haven't seen the movie, so when I saw Dirty Ezio, I thought of this: http://oyster.ignimgs.com/ve3d/images/04/75/47552_AssassinsCreed2-Ezio.png Edited March 20, 2015 by Robin Creations Quote
