KingPixels Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 (edited) So there's a new Fantastic Four movie confirmed for 2015. What do you think is the chance of a LEGO line based on these movies? It's going to be set in the same universe as the X-Men movies, which haven't had a LEGO line so far. I don't know if the FF are popular enough to get a LEGO line independent of the movie, as opposed to Wolverine, Deadpool, and Magneto. Edited September 6, 2013 by KingPixels
Faefrost Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 Oh dear lord I hope not. I honestly hope Lego dodges any license with Fox, and instead gives us a real true classic comic type Fantastic Four set to kind of ride the marketing. Everything we have heard about the next movie FF sounds utterly awful.
KingPixels Posted September 6, 2013 Author Posted September 6, 2013 The might run into problems releasing a line of unrelated sets coinciding with the movie. LEGO can either make them similar to the movies or dissimilar. 1) If they're too dissimilar people will be confused as to why the sets feature scenes and/or characters not in the movie. 2) If they're too similar LEGO might run into legal trouble.
CorneliusMurdock Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 This does not warrant a separate discussion. It can easily be in the Rumor Mill. Sorry.
