We have done little to improve your situation here, and unless I am mistaken, it was Heroica who defeated your people before and forced you to live in the shadows now." "Heroica in general... Hoinestly, most of us don't resent you for what Heroica did to use. There... was a Progg. His name was Prometheus Regret. He was a hateful creature, a villain, a fiend... And immensely powerful. He made puppets out of our three princes... He took advantage of the grief they harbored and the anger inside of them. He made them into another set of tools in his enesemble, and used them as propoganda machines, making us a group of despicable warmongers. Heroica's defeat of that abomination lifted a curse over us." "I must admit to being fond of your children as well. I can only hope to live up to expectations today." "...They were still in the Stronghold when we left. I was an idiot - I should've done something, but I just left them there... And now..." Solon cannot finish his sentence. They cross ther chasm leading to the Stronghold, but instead find their foes waiting for them... A miasma of demons behind her, and an altered Jetorix to her side, Iris speaks. "Well, hello there, heroes! It seems you're determined to muck up our plans... I was just about to leave with my little legion, but if you want me and my children to tear you shreds, though, so be it!" Edited January 22, 2014 by Endgame Quote

Endgame Posted January 22, 2014 Author Posted January 22, 2014 (edited) "I had only planned on stopping your advances, and potentially forcing your retreat, but if you wish for us to tear you shreds I'm sure some in the party would be happy to oblige." "Honestly, "hero", I honestly don't care who you are, what you say, or what you are planning to do. I'm a bit drunk on triumph right now - Although I am a mastermind of Oculoids, I mostly just handle organizational business. A bore compared to what I'm currently up to... Not bad for my first field op, eh, huns? Normally, Seerus handles these dances, but he is currently occupied. But hey, not bad for my first field op, eh, huns? Got a few hundred slaves for my master and magical artifact, straight out of the Stronghold archives. Honestly, heroes, you people are the only way standing in the way of perfection. So, if you think correcting me is going to save you, I'm afraid it simply isn't. I highly doubt that a glorified spellchecker like yourself could stand up against a demoness and her horde. For being an analytical machine, you're pretty foolish for allowing your party to wander into my clutches so easily... But, honestly, if I was to pontificate on all of your failures, it'd take me until sunrise to list them off. So, without further ado... Kill them, my children!" A squad of demons bursts out of the miasma of darkness, eyes glowing menacingly. Led by Jetorix they march forward, with intent to kill. The party draws their weapons and takes a step back, entering a defensive stance. They were ready for the ensuing onslaught... "This is it..." "Let us put an end to this nightmare!" Due to my luckiness, I would be best going after Jetorix, to prevent his special attacks, and Progg Executioner A. If we are not careful, one of these special shots can wipe our whole team. Sarge, you should attack Blue Oculoid A, and Disciple of Iris A. Johon, you have Lucky as well, you should attack Green Oculoid A, and Red Oculoid A. joeshmoe554 Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 (edited) Jeaux bends down to inspect a small compartment in the side of his briefcase. It appeared that Turdwing was out at the moment, likely investigating the various foul odors being given off by the many demons in these caverns. He turned his head up towards the ceiling and emit a low reverberating buzzing sound. <"Turdwing, if you can hear me, I may be in some need of your assistance.">. Jeaux then removed the diamond Johon tossed him at their last meeting with Iris. Focusing his mind on the light refracting off the many crystalline structures in the gem stone, he directs a holy spell at the first white oculoid (White Oculoid A) from the back row. OOC: I can use Turdwing to confuse an enemy, it will just mean I am not targeting anything that round. The_Customizer Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 (edited) "Well, that first round went really well! I am a slight bit low on health, but, I think if we play it right, we could remove most of these Oculoids in just 1 move. Solon, you'll have to go first and throw that Light Bomb, it should wipe out all the Oculoids, after that I think we can pretty much just mop up the rest of the enemies. Hopefully I can also cast Roots of Life, which should enable us to last a bit longer." Erdathcath turns to Iris, "You dare call me a treehugger? I will ensure you are slaughtered on this day!" joeshmoe554 Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 OOC: Shouldn't the Discipe of Iris be badly poisoned as well?" "The bomb will eliminate most of the enemies before us, though there seem to be plenty more in reserve to take their place [color+#a7a7a7](23 more to be precise). It will also increase the power of Jetorix by a rather considerable margin [color+#a7a7a7](+5 to his level), so if Solon throws it, he should wait until after any attacks made against Jetorix." Jeaux clutches a topaz in his hand and directs a spell in Jetorix's direction from the back row.
