Ceroknight Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Speeder's a BARC and the planet is Saleucami, in case you were wondering. BTW, how do you guys say 'Saleucami'? I know in CW it's Sa-loo-ca-MY, accented on 'my', but in RotS, it's Sa-LOO-ca-me, emphasis on 'loo'. (Saleucami has fallen, and Master Vos has moved his troops to Boz Pity*) *Pretty sure that's the quote, even though it makes no sense since we know Stass Allie was deployed on Saleucami during Order 66 and Quinlan Vos was commanding a Turbo Tank on Kashyyyk. ca-me sounds better in my opinion.. Calanon Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Just one question here that's really been bugging me, the clone pilot that comes with the Theta class shuttle, how comes his face is all really white and looks un-human? What's it based off? Quote

What's it based off? I presume Lego inspired them on These guys but without wanting to make a new helmet mold for them they decided on a different face, making it appear like the helmet is covering the face. It sort of is supposed to be the succesor of the open helmet with the orange visor(we see in the beginning of epIII) and would later probably lead to the open tie-helmet (presumably the one coming with the new v-wing set) before leading to the all-known tie pilot helmets we see in the OT I saw a better picture the other day and only made that link myself then, of course this is only a presumption, feel free to correct me Quote

She was actually driving a 74-z speeder bike, same model as the scout troopers used, but different coloring. Heres the picture. But thanks for the planet name Quote
Darth Jar Jar Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 (edited) I have a question has anybody made a custom stormtrooper 501st commander like this She was actually driving a 74-z speeder bike, same model as the scout troopers used, but different coloring. Heres the picture. But thanks for the planet name You beat me too it Edited November 14, 2010 by Darth Jar Jar Quote

Masked Builder Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 I have a question has anybody made a custom stormtrooper 501st commander like this *sinp* I think I've seen one somewhere but I'm not sure where. There's something a bit like it here. Quote

(Saleucami has fallen, and Master Vos has moved his troops to Boz Pity*) I think it also may depend on who is saying it. Keep in mind that eg Obi Wan Kenobi has a British accent, and is likely to pronounce names and words different to the American accented characters. (In the movies that is... because I think all the voice actors in The Clone Wars are American - and despite their best efforts to put on an accent they're likely to pronounce things the same as each other.) Ah, that would make sense, I never thought of that. I guess that's why CW Obi-Wan always sounds wierd to me, since Ewan McGregor and Alec Guiness are both British. I've always said it the way it's said in the movies, since the G-canon status of the movies overrides the T-canon status of the TV shows. Quote
prateek Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 (edited) There this one by Drake on MOCPages And this one by Commander Griff Edited November 15, 2010 by prateek Quote

Brickdoctor Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 Yup. And I have a hunch that the older LEGO Clone pilots were also based off the same character: [snip] That and the fact that it allowed TLG to use the same helmet mold, like they did for the TIE pilots. Quote
Ritz Brick Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 IMO I like the new V-Wing Pilot head a lot more than a black helmet with a face or a TIE helmet. Quote
The Legonater Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 I, personally, have always pronounced it the movie version. Besides, ever since the Fett trilogy I've been leaning more to consider The Clone Wars non-canon. I have a question. I got the new AT-AT the other day, and noticed that the lines on the Rebel Trooper's face were a little bolder and slightly different than the regular, thin ones shown. Am I the only one who's noticed this, or is this a 'new' head on the AT-AT? Quote

Fallenangel Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 Probably just an difference from when the ink was applied. Ink mistakes are quite common. Indeed. I remember someone on another LEGO forum saying there were two separate Darth Maul head prints, one with silver and one without. I have a question: just how much source material does LEGO use/have access to for their UCS sets? Because from what I can see the mandibles on that UCS Falcon are just obscenely oversized, as well as the engines on the UCS Y-wing. Such major errors of proportion are unforgivable on UCS sets(and I know that at least Aeroeza would agree with me). Quote

As much as they need. They get full access to the Lucasfilm Archives for both past and future craft. However, the marketing department isn't the one that knows the stats, so they just kinda glance over the proportions and focus more on the play features. Quote
