The Legonater Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 Well if you don't like it you could ask for a replacement. Oh, I love it, it's sweet, I just thought it was worth asking. Quote
Fallenangel Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 That was because the print was slightly revised for the 2007 Sith Infiltrator. As much as they need. They get full access to the Lucasfilm Archives for both past and future craft. However, the marketing department isn't the one that knows the stats, so they just kinda glance over the proportions and focus more on the play features. I said silver... and this was before anyone even knew about the 7663 Sith Infiltrator. I am aware that the Maul head in the 7663 is different from the one in 7151 but as far as I know there was no official head with silver trim. Just like there is no official moustache stormtrooper. Notice I said UCS sets... but lucky LEGO... I wish I had full access... but it'd cost a lot of money... Quote
Brickdoctor Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 Notice I said UCS sets... but lucky LEGO... I wish I had full access... but it'd cost a lot of money... I know, they have full access for every set. The best thing we can get is Wookieepedia, though, and I'm pretty sure Wookieepedia Admins can contact the Archives to cross-check the stats.. Quote
mwolfpack Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 yea so with the new sets coming out next year, i was really looking and wanting the bounty hunter assault ship and the mandalorian battle pack. but then i got thinking and decided that i would want the ship the deathwatch used in the animated series. i looked through a couple websites for anything and couldn't find anything. would you guys now if there is any. the ship is called kom'rk. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Kom%27rk-class_fighter/transport here is the link for wookiepedia. i would like to build but i only have twos sets. the third version of slave 1 ( boba's second version) and the magna guard fighter. not a lot of sets interest me besides the really expensive ones or really large ones hence why i only have two.. please help if you can Quote
commanderneyo Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 No That ship is not coming out as a set for all we know at the moment. Quote
mwolfpack Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 No That ship is not coming out as a set for all we know at the moment. opps i figured it wouldnt. i should have said if anyone knows of a moc. that way i can see what to do for it Quote
Brickdoctor Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 opps i figured it wouldnt. i should have said if anyone knows of a moc. that way i can see what to do for it I don't know of anyone who's made it, but with only those two sets there's no way you'll get enough blue to build it. I'd recommend looking around for light grey slopes or wedge plates and the same in dk. blue. Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted November 20, 2010 Author Posted November 20, 2010 Since the CW Manalorian episodes are still relatively new, I don't think anyone has tried building this yet. And I agree with Doc, if you're planning on doing this MOC, BL is the way to get the necessary parts. BTW, I believe this type of question belong to the Gen. Questions Thread. Quote

Brickdoctor Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 Hello! I was wondering if a clone captain/commander have there own specialized starfighters? Or elite stormtroopers? Off the top of my head, I can only recall the Razor Squadron ARC-170s that KDM did. Quote
Fallenangel Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 Hello! I was wondering if a clone captain/commander have there own specialized starfighters? Or elite stormtroopers? Well the Wars aren't my area of expertise but I do know that ARC Captain Fordo and the Muunilinst 10 flew a specialized LAAT/i with rancor markings on Hypori. (Clone Wars Chapter 21, wasn't it?) ARCs are about as elite as clones get (as far as I know anyway) so there's that. According to Wookieepedia both ARCs and clone commandos often flew in Traffic Interdiction Vessels. (I've never played the Republic Commando games, so I'm honestly not sure.) It appears that elite stormtroopers have been retconned into the "Coruscant Guard"; apparently they use LAAT/is and AT-RTs, as well as something called a 'raider'. It lists their first appearance as the Clone Wars movie, which I haven't seen, so again I'm not completely sure. In Heir to the Empire spacetroopers were deployed in mole miners during the conflict at Sluis Van. Royal Guards had their own specialized TIE Interceptors with red markings. The 181st Imperial Fighter Wing from the X-wing novels were known to have red markings on their fighters (as well as their uniforms). Kir Kanos had several temporary ships, including an X-wing and a Skipray blastboat. Quote
Supersonic Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 Hi!I have seen that a Venator usually carries 190 Eta-2 Actis interceptors. So are they flewn by normal clone pilots too? I have never seen one with a non-jedi as pilot. Quote

XimenaPaulina Posted November 20, 2010 Author Posted November 20, 2010 Hi!I have seen that a Venator usually carries 190 Eta-2 Actis interceptors. So are they flewn by normal clone pilots too? I have never seen one with a non-jedi as pilot. The Eta-2s were known to be extensively used by the jedi during the Clone Wars, but it was not exclusive to them, according to Wookieepedia: The Eta-2 became one of the first starfighter models in use by the Imperial Navy. Squadrons of Eta-2s flew in formation above Coruscant as part of the security detail after the Galactic Empire had been established.[6] When Anakin Skywalker became Darth Vader, he would receive a new black Eta-2. Vader piloted this Eta-2 during some of his early missions for Emperor Palpatine as the Great Jedi Purge continued, sometimes flanked by V-wing starfighters. Vader was assisted in the new fighter by R4-K5. Quote

Supersonic Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 I'm just asking because I'm thinking about buying a few more JSFs and it wouldn't make sense if there was only one (Anakins). So even though there are as many Etas on a Venator as ARC 170s or V-Wings, there is no proof they were ever used by clones? Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted November 20, 2010 Author Posted November 20, 2010 (edited) I'm just asking because I'm thinking about buying a few more JSFs and it wouldn't make sense if there was only one (Anakins). So even though there are as many Etas on a Venator as ARC 170s or V-Wings, there is no proof they were ever used by clones? Your correct in saying that there isn't a scene where a non-jedi was shown flying an Eta-2, but simple logic will tell us that if there are 190 Eta-2s then they were probably made to be piloted by clones, since obviously there isn't enough jedi to pilot those many Eta-2s. Is it just me, or is this thread a little off topic again? Maybe you've confused this with the 2011 Rumors thread? If these discussions were in that topic, then that would've been really off-topic. But everything is perfectly fine here in the Gen. Questions Thread. Edited November 20, 2010 by KielDaMan Quote
Fallenangel Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 Hi!I have seen that a Venator usually carries 190 Eta-2 Actis interceptors. So are they flewn by normal clone pilots too? I have never seen one with a non-jedi as pilot. I remember a line in the Attack of the Clones novelization about how pilots shoot off their own nose cones in a Delta-7 and how only Jedi could fly it with an R4 droid, so I don't see why that wouldn't apply to the Eta-2 as well. Also, this can't be considerably completely canon, but you can fly an Eta-2 as a clone pilot in Battlefront II. Of course, remember that in the era of the Old Republic there were thousands of Jedi all over the galaxy so who knows, each of those Eta-2s may be for a particular Jedi. By the way, Razor Squadron is a Hasbro fabrication; according to Wookieepedia they're not actually featured in any canon. (What's more, the entry for Razor Squadron lacks an 'Appearances' section, and all of the sources are toy companies.) On a related note, I've just discovered that Anakin shouldn't even have a Delta-7B or the Twilight in the first place; as I thought, Anakin is given his yellow Eta-2 immediately after his knighthood in Clone Wars Chapter 21. So I don't know what kind of weird retcon they're gonna try with this... it's not even mentioned on Wikipedia. Quote

I have never seen one with a non-jedi as pilot. Yes. Standard complement is actually 192 Eta-2 Actis interceptors, 192 Alpha-3 Nimbus or V-19 Torrent starfighters, 40 LAAT/i gunships, 24 walkers, various shuttles (I'm pretty sure that includes the LAAT/c's), and the prefab garrison. The Eta-2 was faster and more maneuverable than the Alpha-3, but since the Alpha-3 offered deflector shields, most clones prefered the V-wing and Jedi who could rely on the Force to avoid enemy fire would man the Eta-2s. Both fighters were phased out in favor of the TIE. Is it just me, or is this thread a little off topic again? Nope. It's a General SW Questions thread, and people are asking general questions and we're answering them. (or trying to, at least) On a related note, I've just discovered that Anakin shouldn't even have a Delta-7B or the Twilight in the first place; as I thought, Anakin is given his yellow Eta-2 immediately after his knighthood in Clone Wars Chapter 21. So I don't know what kind of weird retcon they're gonna try with this... it's not even mentioned on Wikipedia. It's listed under Behind the Scenes as a discrepancy. I assume this is the kind of thing they can't fix and hope people won't notice, although I'm pretty sure the new TV show overrides the old one in any conflicts. "Bah, retcons!" Quote

Fallenangel Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 I just noticed that this topic has become a Star Wars nerd topic. Well excuse Brickdoctor, KielDaMan, myself, and others for knowing a little bit more about Star Wars than the average LEGO Star Wars enthusiast. (Not saying the three mentioned above are the only notable ones, just the ones that seem to post in this thread most often. Plus KielDaMan is a chemistry whiz, I didn't know that!) And besides I think these 'nerd' questions are a lot more interesting than all the 'which should I get' and 'what is coming out and when' questions that most of the people here are asking. They're less redundant and you can learn new things. Quote
Churchill Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 How about this one- it's not really related to Lego, unless the answer means all of the pilots we have are wrong. In the X-Wing Squadron and New Jedi Order books, pilots often go "extra-vehicular" when they're hit- but they never seem to be wearing even a mask. Just the helmet with a visor. Does anyone know how this works? They never seem to be shown with a mask, and I'm not sure how they'd have time to get it on before going "EV." Churchill Quote
