Robianco Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 (edited) Hi all... After getting back into Lego again a few years ago as an AFOL I've visited EB several times in the past following links to discussions etc... so now I've decided to jump in and try and be a part of things. I got back into Lego due to my love of Star Wars... and the impending birth of my first child... When my daughter was born just over 4 years ago I contemplated buying the UCS Falcon if it was a boy as a gift to him/myself even though there was nowhere to put it... but I had a girl... so I didn't. Bugger. (about the Falcon... Not having a girl!) SW is my primary collection of Lego items. I'm also a fan of LOTR/Hobbit and the Super Heroes themes although space around the house doesn't allow for build and display of everything! Basically I prefer fleshies to yellowies! I suppose the main drain on my funds is minifigures... I love customs also... as long as they're designed and printed properly. They don't have to be purist either! I'll often buy sets and after a build I'll sell the kit on without the figs... either that or it's BL!! I built my first main MOC a few months ago and actually sold it as there was interest in it... it was a Carbon Freezing chamber from TESB. I may get round to posting pics of it at some point. Anyway... I hope to be a productive member of the group... and hopefully get round to contributing to the Decal forum as I'm a designer by trade and I may be able to help out there. Slainte Mhath! eurotrash Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 Welcome to Eurobricks Robianco - I think you'll find that the twelve step program to Legoholic recovery isn't encouraged here.... Quote
Andy D Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 Welcome to Eurobricks Robianco - I think you'll find that the twelve step program to Legoholic recovery isn't encouraged here.... Welcome to EB! @Eurotrash... You are right, what twelve step program? We don't need any twleve step program. We can quit any time we want, we just don't want to quit! Besides that none of us are adicted to LEGO, it's just an innocent hobby ;);) Andy D Quote
Robianco Posted October 28, 2013 Author Posted October 28, 2013 I already get the feeling if I was looking for a 12 step programme to cure me then walking into this place would be like a busload of people turning up at an AA meeting with crates of beer, spirits and wine!...oh... and some chilli nuts... and pringles...
