kermit Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 Ok so the Thanksgiving Black Friday sale is fast approaching. I know usually Lego would state what their deals are in advance like 20% off this set and that, as well as other companies such as Toys R` Us, Walmart and Target etc. So my question is does anyone have any insights or knowledge of what the deals will be?
just2good Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 Walmart has set 4628, which comes with 600 pieces, for $15. And Target has the Forest Police Station for $50.
tkatt Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 Here's a link to the Toy'sRus black friday ad. http://www.theblackfriday.com/ads/toysrus/toysrus-black-friday-ad6.shtml
Mr. Elijah Timms Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 TRU-- 60026 Town Square for $74.99. I've been researching this stuff, and will give a more detailed post when I get the chance. Happy hunting!

You'll have to get there early for that one, it's a 5am opening while supplies last. The Republic Gunship is part of that deal too. http://www.theblackfriday.com/ads/toysrus/toysrus-black-friday-ad12.shtml
mostlytechnic Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Or check online at midnight - often stores put stuff online as well. well, depends on the sale of course... Just looked at the TRU ad, and the town square set (the one I was interested in) does say in store only. So sad...

Do you think they will honor that deal with an online purchase on black friday? Edited November 19, 2013 by kermit
Brandon Miller Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 Walmart has set 4628, which comes with 600 pieces, for $15. And Target has the Forest Police Station for $50. Can you provide another link to this? I cannot view the attachment.
meyerc13 Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 (edited) And Target has the Forest Police Station for $50. Which is a whole $1 less than they've been selling it for leading up to BF. It's been $56 on their website, and they had a $5 off LEGO coupon, so $51. Who would be crazy enough to brave the crowds to save $1? I miss the Target BF sales of a few years ago, like the Troll Mountain Fortress for 50% off (a set that was no longer available through retail channels at the time). Now it's down to 37.5% off a set that's been readily available at heavy discounts for almost a year. Not even close to being as interesting. I hope BF is a flop for retailers this year, maybe they'll rethink it and give us all back our Thanksgiving holiday. Edited November 23, 2013 by meyerc13

MiloNelsiano Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 (edited) Unfortunately I dont live close to any stores. Do you think they will honor that deal with an online purchase on black friday? A lot of stores have different sales the Monday after Black Friday on their websites. It's called "Cyber Monday", which I had never heard of until last year. Correction: It is Cyber Monday, not Saturday. I was confusing it with something called "Small Business Saturday" which was a sale day local stores had where I lived last year. KalleAnka Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 I was in TRU this morning and I picked up the Attack of the Wargs from the Hobbit theme at 50% off which put it at $29.95. It isn't my favorite Hobbit set, but at this price I couldn't pass up.
kermit Posted November 29, 2013 Author Posted November 29, 2013 is anyone else disappointed by Lego`s lack luster sale items this year. On shop at home the majority of sets discounted are the speedzor sets and stuff like magnets. I remember previous years star wars sets, city sets and other themes would be discounted as well as having 20% discount on the expensive exclusives.
