Captain Genaro Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 As a matter of fact, I was going to chime in a while ago but something came up. I'm not going to put too much weight into the number of guests reading the topic. Almost every time I've played, I've noticed one or two guests reading the day threads. Maybe it's scumbags who are worried, but unless I'm mistaken, there's been one or two guest reading the topic since the beginning. While he’s not my number one suspect, he does have the most votes for him, we’re running out of time, and we need a lynch. Unvote: Mist (Mencot) Vote: Petr Half-Troll (Piratedave84). I have never heard of the scum-trap before or seen it used, but I don’t like it. It seems more like a weak excuse to cover up a disastrous post. At most, you would identify a handful of people who might be town or they could be scum. Townies would jump on it for being incredibly awkward and scum would use it as a legitimate reason to lynch. If this was a plan, I don’t think it was a very good one and it’s sure not a tactic that I would encourage. I see Sigrid as being a far better candidate. She has absolutely no excuse for being so silent. She hasn’t even bothered to pretend to post anything of value. Maybe she really is incredibly busy, but even then, what little she posted contributes absolutely nothing, not even an insight into her conclusions or opinions. But as I stated before, we need a lynch and I feel that Petr still has a decent chance of coming up scum.
Piratedave84 Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 I was the third one to vote for you, man. I laid out my reasoning when doing so. You say it was forced, you're reading it wrong. It can't help that. My vote was intended for you. Otherwise I would have written someone else's name there, doofus. Then you should have worded it properly, Saying "out of those with votes I'll vote for X" implies that you had other ideas and are merely voting with the pack, just sayin'.
Darkdragon Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 We seem to be very close to the end of the day with a few votes not cast. Since he's already on my list (for the reasons I stated peviously) and we are at 10 votes (by my count, though I'm just a fool), and last of all because finally having a lynch will give us more info tomorrow than having nothing... Unvote: Naemr Sledgehammer (Captain Nemo) Vote: Petr Half-Troll (Piratedave84)

CorneliusMurdock Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 Then you should have worded it properly, Saying "out of those with votes I'll vote for X" implies that you had other ideas and are merely voting with the pack, just sayin'. How about this, then: Out of all the people in this hall, dude, you're the scummiest right now. Just sayin'.
Piratedave84 Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 How about this, then: Out of all the people in this hall, dude, you're the scummiest right now. Just sayin'. You make me laugh; the majority of people voting for me are doing so reluctantly. This lynch is garbage; I am town and the majority knows it.
CMP Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 This lynch is garbage; I am town and the majority knows it. Then...why's the majority voting for you?
Piratedave84 Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 Then...why's the majority voting for you? For scum it's an easy lynch as for town, I really can't say but I can see that at least 5 of those votes are either sheeps or are done reluctantly to get a conviction. i would rather have been cleared through investigation than by death; my conscience is clear and I did something I thought would yield results.
CorneliusMurdock Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 If you are town you, did something that had no measurable results and was not set up to achieve any. And was really weird. The easy lynch was Sigrid. And not enough people fell for that one to save you. Sorry.
Piratedave84 Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 If you are town you, did something that had no measurable results and was not set up to achieve any. And was really weird. The easy lynch was Sigrid. And not enough people fell for that one to save you. Sorry. I tried something, thought it could work, it did not, lesson learnt; trying to root out scum should not be attempted by members of the town. I'm pretty sure that tomorrow's discussion will revolve, to some extent, on what transpired with my lynch; there will therefore be measurable results.
Piratedave84 Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 well looks like it's the end of the road for me; have fun guys and remember what I said today when, unsurprisingly, I will turn up town tomorrow. Bye

MagPiesRUs Posted December 3, 2013 Author Posted December 3, 2013 The sun began to set and the heroes grew wary after a long and chaotic day in the hall. This was caused in part by Chief Mursi's attempts to introduce a savage new tradition from the Americas - being thankful for things. It didn't catch on however. However, the einherjar had eventually come to a decision - Petr Half-Troll (Piratedave84) would be sentenced to death. Tumi "Tumius Aximus" (Trumpet King) stood on his seat and announced: "carp diem!" The einherjar looked at each other confused, "what does that mean?" "Seize the Dave!" Tumi proclaimed. Petr was seized and brought before the hall. "Petr Half-Troll, your peers have sentenced you to death," said Harald, axe in hand, "do you have any-" "Friends, Romen, countrymen," Tumi interrupted, "We have come to slay this man, not to bury him! The evils that men do live on after them..." Petr, enraged by the Romanised viking, could not restrain himself any longer. Breaking free of his captors, he leaped across the hall... ... And onto poor Tumi... The two warriors fell back onto the dining table, much to the shock of all those around them... ... Tumi attempted to crawl away to safety, but Petr was right behind him... ... Seizing an opportunity, Tumi swung around, sword raised... ... And plunged it into Petr's stomach triumphantly. Petr Half-Troll was not finished yet however. Stumbling back against the table, he reached for the Thanksgiving axe... ... Wishing to finally end the fighting, Petr decided to bury the hatchet. Into Tumi's skull. "Aargh! It is as Julianus Caesar always said: ale acts best," Tumi mattered, "dying is fast..." The rest of the einherjar rushed around the two men. They were too late however - Petr and Tumi were dead. You now have 16 hours to send in your night actions.
