Thanks! I successfully made the half century mark back in January (and took a bit of a hiatus due to some family issues, but I'm (mostly) back now)

Welcome back and welcome to the 50 club. You do realize you're the fresh young newbie in this club.

You know you're old when your 5yr old Grandson asks you what dinosaurs sounded like!

If you actually know what dinosaurs sounded like... You are older than me. ;) ;)

Also welcome to all you new comers to the "Older Than Dirt Club"

In a way it sounds unusual to be a newbie in the OTDC. But welcome anyway.

Also, all you over 50 YO's out there, it's time to come out and get badged up.

I don't really want the badge.

Can someone please remove the OTD badge for Rider Raider.

Many of us wear the badge OTD as a badge of honor, but I can understand why some may not wish others to know their age.

I am very proud of my title an badge and I hope that this does not affect others who display the badge with pride.

Thanks so very much,

Andy D

After a while of thinking, I've decided I want the badge. I can wear it as a badge of honor if that is how I choose to use it.

Congratulations Rider Raider! I am glad you decided to join the ranks of the OTD members. We have many things going for us, among them, we've been around long enough to understand a few things.

Anybody else want to stand up and be badged. All you have to do is be over 50 and request a badge (like Rider Raider did) and 'poof' you will be badged!

Looking forward to more members,

Andy D

Wow, didn't realise that this place existed, I must be in the smallest minority here in Eurobricks, 'older than dirt' and a 'Lady' I think I'v earned by badge

59 and counting. I didn't have LEGO when I was a kid, but did have dirt! I also remember discovering dirt as a toy. It was the greatest stuff to come along since I discovered my toes. :classic:

I'm pretty sure that I have you all beat in terms of age.

When my great-grandchildren and I play Lego together, I always give each one a Werther's Original and insist that it never touches their fingers or the Lego gets all gooey and sticky. I still remember when my grandpappy gave me my first Werther's original, just that buttery ooey-gooey caramelly taste, things were different back then. Sliced bread had just been invented and Lego was no where to be found, we used to play Able-Whackets to pass the time on the streets until someone needed their shoes polished . . . those were the days.

Welcome to the "Older Than Dirt" club. Well we have a couple of "Ladies",I think Legogal was the first "Lady" to join, and many of us who remember dirt very well.

I find it great that there are so many of us here. There are also 2 members of the LUG I just joined (TIELUG) who are also senior Lego builders, though not Eurobricks members.

Any more "Older Than Dirt" eligible members stand up and be recognized.

Thanks for the badge. Now that I'm "older than dirt", do I have to start using words like "spiffy" and "keen"... or will "groovy" and "far-out" suffice?

24 days to go for me, well going by the local calendar it's 25, but I was actually born 5 time-zones east of where I now live and it's past midnight there now .. lol

I think groovy and far-out will suffice.

Welcome to the club. Our numbers continue to grow! We're taking over wherever we go.

Just heard about this bunch. 78 and counting. Just tore out my woodworking shop and replacing it with Lego storage. (Actually was really getting tired of sawdust) Working on the BWE. Bought 2 so I can have the B model displayed with it. Spare time spent designing a series of Underground mining equipment that I hope to run with EV3.

Would love to be called 'Older than dirt' so much better than being under it!

Hi there! I'm 51 and a very new Lego hobbyist. It was the Doctor Who set. I couldn't resist (now they need to do a Tom Baker set!).

I don't remember having Legos when I was younger; I remember having Lincoln Logs and an Erector set.

I ran into an "Erector Set" on E-bay by accident. Sounds really, really kinky!!
