[WIP] Cagiva Mito 125cc

Hi there guys!

As someone of you may have noticed, at the moment, due to unemployement, i have lot of time to build :)

So i decided to start my first superbike

not really a superbike....just my own bike XD

it's a 125cc but has cool stuff such as the chassis made by MV Agusta and the body designed by the same designer who made the ducati 996...

plus it has nice performances for its size...160kmh and 0-100 in 7 seconds

for now i've done all the chassis

as you may see in this picture the chassis is pretty similar to the real counterpart

it has one single cylinder, the fuel tank can be lifted to inspect the head of the engine, and it has rear suspension...

now i have to deal with the body....

what would you suggest? should i make it technic or should i pass to the dark side of the building by using plates? :D

i admit that making it technic could be really skilled but im so tempted to try the panels to shape it realisticly!

What about using some Lego springs to make some shock absorbers?

for the front fork?

i won't make them simply because there are no springs in the front...it's hydraulic suspension...springs would look a little bit odd :\

Sweet looking bike. My only thought is whether or not the rear swingarm can be made less bulky to match the real life bike better?

yeah i don't like the rear fork too...i will manage to change it at a certain point :P

it's just the same that the 8051 has but it's completely oversize on this model lol

my suggestions:

try to find 64566, for front wheel brakes, effect is much better than this small 22 mm grey plate, I used it in my King Gulf (price aprox 0,50 EUR)

and for shape modeling - new panels are also efective, few points for mounting, enough stiff to be a part of structure...

I love bike builds!

And this one is great. Cagiva Mito was my dream bike, too! Great power in small pack, but parts were very expensive.

I too don't like rear swingarm...

I'm not a huge fan of bikes, but this is looking sweet!

The tubular chassis is right at home here.

One day I will try a bike, hehe. Maybe a mountain bike!

Lego could do worse than give you a job and even working from your own country, your mocs are great and your quick, I have a feeling you could improve upon them even further with more resources and time.

I would of thought some people from lego are registered here, maybe even lego scout forums for talent.

Big companies don't always do the logical thing, boss's do not always know how their customers think and there is a good chance they will look at something and not see the potential.

Big companies have one thing on their mind, "how much money is this going to make", though they would never admit it.

Big companies will ignore something great if its not presented well.

So you have to show lego that people find your mocs fun and "spend money" to build them.

A lot of other people on these forums know lego in more detail, plus other people on these forums would like to see one of their own make it to lego, this gives people something to work for because one day they might make it too.

i've tried many ways to make it similar to the real one but as i don't wanna use connectors for that part there's no other way than this...

i've changed the colors so it looks less heavy at sight...maybe i could change the part that holds the suspension into black...

It looks better, despite not having changed much. Is there no way to get the swingarm 2 liftarms thick as opposed to 3?

I meant that the rear fork is 3 liftarms wide (the middle one is a gap though). Can you not make it just 2 wide? I'm probably not explaining myself very well, I'm not down with all the proper terminology yet!

not really because there's the grey part on the right, wich is holding the gears, that has two pins that would come down and they're really ugly lol
