I thought it was just me! Same things happened to me on and off since February. I've found that in addition to the problems you've listed, I can't post pics, my text "flickers" when I highlight a word, if I can highlight a word, my words are overwritten when I go back to retype something and my posts aren't autosaved. I'm sure someone has an answer around here.

I think it's I.E. acting up. the same thing starts happening to me randomly. like one second i'm typing normally then it's all skippy. I have to write messages in the address bar then copy and paste them here when that happens.

On a semi-related note, about 75% of the time I try to type out the word "expression", it comes out as "exp<b></b>ression". Don't know if it's related, but it might be.

This was happening to me until I clicked the 'Toggle Editing Mode' button on the top left of the editing box. However I have to switch it back before I can use tags or smileys.

I know this is probably frustrating but I can't help but find this post hilarious.

That's very likely. If you guys are using IE, do you get the same issue with Chrome/Firefox/other browsers? We know IE has been responsible for some apparent bugs in the past.

This happens to all of us; as far as I know, we have no idea what causes it.

You can still use tags or emoticons in the plain-text editor if you type them out manually. However, no matter what you do to avoid the insertion of the HTML '<b>' tags when you initially post, the board will put them back in if you go to edit a post (no matter which editor you do the editing with), so you still have to watch out for that.

Yes I'm using IE, it seems to work fine on chrome, but it's not my default browser.

Yes . I know some of them, but I still have to switch back if I want some of the more complex ones.

I too have the same problems as the above are experiencing. I don't know if its IE as when I use my daughters computer I don't have any problem when using IE.

At the risk of asking a question that might sound insulting, are they both the same version of IE? I think it was v.10 that we had a lot of issues with.

Don't know. The old laptop has FF since my uncle would use the laptop sometimes and he prefers FF but i never really used FF outside of a few things and EB wasn't one of those.
