SAM1626 Posted January 30 Posted January 30 (edited) I am a new user but have strong opinions. I personally would love to have my own Technic 1994 Skyline GTR, but I'm pricing it out to build it myself... I would waste way too much money. I want a custom color for all the pieces (don't ask why it's a pretty color) and I would definitely build it in 1:8 scale so lots of pieces. The first generation Skyline GT-R was initially available as a four-door sedan equipped with a 2.0L inline-six S20 engine which was rated at 160 HP, with a 5-speed manual transmission but I would upgrade the transmission and give it a different engine https://www.autoevolution.com/news/toyota-4a-ge-lego-engine-is-sweet-and-functional-video-77804.html# I would love to use this engine mainly for looks but otherwise i would keep it as close as possible to the original car Edited January 30 by SAM1626 typo Quote

SAM1626 Posted January 30 Posted January 30 but on the subject of japanese cars built in legos... how come we can't have this: https://www.autoevolution.com/news/toyota-4a-ge-lego-engine-is-sweet-and-functional-video-77804.html# in this: https://thelegocarblog.com/2017/07/15/initial-d-ae86/#google_vignette it looks like scaling would be an issue but scale up the car and the engine might fit... I wonder if i can build a mockup of this online... I might have an update on this soon. maybe I can put these together, although a transmission will be needed. If anybody has an intrest in this I might have instructions for it in a few days (or weeks). Quote

Jockos Posted March 15 Posted March 15 I'd like a Manitou telehandler with rotating upper structure. And of course a massive JCB backhoe loader. And a 7-axle Liebherr mobile crane with outriggers like in 8053 Quote

Amt0571 Posted March 21 Posted March 21 At this point, I'll be happy with anything that is not an overexpensive car with a gearbox or worse: barely no functions. Quote
jonwil Posted March 22 Posted March 22 That set from last year with the sun + moon + earth was great and different to what Technic usually has and I loved it. More of the same please LEGO (i.e. sets that are different to what we usually get with Technic) Quote

Like steam roller, old long-nose trucks, old tractors, classic cars (from the 10s/20s/30s)... Quote

Jockos Posted April 5 Posted April 5 Usual January wave, nothing big (as of now), but 42217 will be 2025's blue Corvette. I saw that leak, too, and I think that would be 42216. Quote
Paul B Technic Posted April 5 Posted April 5 I am hoping for some type of large construction machine, maybe in the next wave. Quote
