If it lasts till Sunday, can get 2x VIP points, I just got an email today about that, 14 Dec.

It's been in stock in the UK shop for a couple of days now so hopefully you should be fine.

Oops, too late already, says delayed to 21 Dec. now. I was going to find one more thing for a gift to combine for points..but oh well. Seems like just about everything is either out of stock or delayed shipping now anyway.

Wow! I am so glad that they had this in stock again! So many folks did not get it the first two rounds. Maybe they will keep no making them for a while.

I was going to order it tomorrow to get the 2x VIP points, but I just checked and it is sold out. I guess I should have known it wouldn't last that long.

What would double points work out to? $1 ?

Not enough to wait. Not like ordering a modular or a Death Star where the points really add up.

Edit....

Looking at Lego.com this morning, their wording would seem to imply that its gone from Lego.com for good but that you might be able to get one at a Lego retail location the week of December 14th. Might.....

I wasn't going to wait for double VIP points on this set. Especially after how it sold out in a day on initial release. I ordered it on Saturday, good thing I ordered some BnP too as they are now closed for till the end of January...now how do I find prices on parts without calling them? sigh...

FYI for those seeking to buy one, I saw it listed on Toys R US website in Canada.

I was able to get one last week. They canceled my order after I ordered it due to me ordering more than 1 (I only ordered 1). Needless to say, this prompted a call to customer service and they said not to worry as it was being processed.

I should have mine by the end of the week.

I saw it available last Friday, so I immediately ordered it for my daughter. After missing it originally, I decided I didn't care about it. But seeing it available again I figured my wife would be upset if I didn't get it. I used up my VIP points since we are in a money bind..but now I can't afford the Candida for free...That's life I guess..

And what do you mean bnp is closed until end of January? I didn't realize a website would close do you couldn't order from it. Why would they want extra money? I guess to bricklink I go.

A friend got me a copy from the downtown Disney store. Apparently the store person had to look for it so it must be running low, but might be some more available there if anyone wants one.

Why would they want extra money?

Either they are short on staff (as B&P and PaB are processed manually) or they need to make changes/upgrades in their system, requiring to deactivate the whole thing while doing the changes.

I was quite glad to see another run done; I'd already managed to get one the first time around, but now I have a second copy that my fiancée will receive for Christmas. Now if only they'd do another run of the Mars Science Laboratory Curiosity Rover - I desperately want that one as well, but it sold out about as quickly as this did... :(

I'm not sure about this idea of maknig it a series or even a theme. First, Minecraft has become an overfavored example to all Ideas/Cuusoo projects, which failed passing or have passed once but don't get a second set.

We should notice that the project was meant to be "female fig project", not the later "research theme". We may continue the research routine, but that means some other females from the original project (ex, female judge) would not be able to return.

The major issue as an independent series is the conflict with current themes. Friends seem to stick to the main Friends, who have interests in those professional things, instead of introducing other adult women who work in Heartlake City. Mean while, LEGO City aka LEGO Police, could be in charge of the City people instead. We've seen small City sets like that, so I'm sure all characters from this project could, too.

The other main debate is its original name "female minifigure sets". It was orignially a single opinion against LEGO's lack of female minifigures in modern sets (which have been slightly improved this year). Making more sets of this series would literally make it a "female fig supplement pack" despite there are building details. My suggestion is to add one male character when one set already includes more than three females, as said, if LEGO stick to the "research" topic, not "gender".

If LEGO treat it like an elevated version of LEGO City, I seriously hope that they invent more in this project. Not letting fans to expect a more sophiscated Paleontologist in CMF line. (Of course, it's interesting to bring those scientific CMFs into this set.

Alatariel's original concept was indeed just a general female minifigure set meant to show women in a variety of professions, but as it was made up of numerous unrelated vignettes, LEGO CUUSOO staffers advised her to trim it down so that it was more like a true single set, something they've done several times with numerous projects that seem to depict a whole theme more than a single set. She opted to pare down her proposal to just three, all of them science-themed, naturally enough - science is cool, it seems to appeal to LEGO fans in general, and it's an area in which many actively seek to encourage more participation by women to counteract discrimination against them in the field, all in addition to Alatariel herself being an actual scientist. With those three vignettes selected, the project took on a more cohesive theme - not just professional women, but professional women in science.

As it happens, Alatariel now has a similar project that might work well as a companion piece to the first; this one has moved away from the original core concept of professional women (as the figures in this new project aren't necessarily all female, as the project creator has herself indicated in the comments) and onto the final one of scientific researchers, albeit now out in the field rather than the lab. It's doing well in voting, and appears to be on track to amass the required 10,000 votes in plenty of time, so it's just a question of whether TLG would want to do another set of this sort.
