ummester Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 I think it's a high price for 2 neat minifigs. I like Brent Waller's Tumbler - unapproved ideas project, with instructions, here: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/8919 I think this set would be better with the same figs, a smaller tumbler, such as Waller's and a lower price point. Phamas Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 I pass because i have artifex's tumbler Wow I really like this version. Especially it's minifig scaled. Quote
Sir Brickalot Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 Hmm, the more I look at it, the more I'm disliking it. Which is just as well, really, as it's way too expensive Quote
LEGO.Inc Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 (edited) Anyone who knows what amount will be produced in the first batch? Will this be a limited run? Or is LEGO going to produce this set for ever and ever and ever if there is demand for it. 220 Euro is a lot of money for a set that costs 148 Euro (=199 Dollar) in the States. Not even a 1:1 ratio.. A difference of a whooping 70 friggin Euro's (or 100 Dollars) For 1 set! 100 Dollars .. think of what you can buy for that... Buy it as a European in the States, let it ship overseas, pay taxes and what not and you STILL have money left .. omfg. If you buy more you can save on the costs! So why bother buying through Shop at Home. And the funniest thing of all; all the LEGO factories are in the EU (edit: 1 in Mexico)... My 2 cents. Edited August 18, 2014 by LEGO.Inc Quote
DJ Bricks Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 The set will keep going as long as makes them money, and it depends on the set on how much is made. They keep making small sets for Ideas, they sell out immediately due to fan demand and low numbers for the set. Also the set is now available. To VIP s only Quote

eldiano Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 (edited) MEH the lego clerk hyped up the Batman 75 book, it's ok. Only thing worth while is the justice league pictures. Used all my lego points for my order at the store so I paid 30 bucks. Edited August 19, 2014 by eldiano Quote
TheBrickHitHouse Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 It's huge! Wasn't expecting that - have nowhere to store something thats bigger than an RC car! ...but it's sooo lovely. Very accurate, ingenious build and glorious on display. One of the increasing number of huge lego sets that inspires respect from non fans too After a few 'accuracy' issues with recent Star Wars UCS, it's good to see lego show that it had some real skill inhouse. I was starting to wonder if the AFOL community was actually better builders than the professionals! Quote
Drudoo Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 They have it on display at the copenhagen lego store, was much bigger than expected. I was so tempted to buy it today but I can't decide between this and the 21050 architecture studio! Quote
WetWired Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 Wow I really like this version. Especially it's minifig scaled. It's a bit of stretch to call that one minifig scale, it's huge! Quote
CM4Sci Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 Hey uh, did this disappear from S@H? My LEGO Store didn't have it, and I couldn't find it online. -Sci Quote
Steph 104th Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 The online release date is scheduled for September first. Quote
BrickBob Studpants Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 Just finished building mine, and it's absolutely fantastic Definitely among my top three sets of this year Quote
m0dulo Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 (edited) Hey uh, did this disappear from S@H? My LEGO Store didn't have it, and I couldn't find it online. It shows up when I search for "tumbler" in S@H even if I'm not logged in. It says VIPs can buy it if they sign in, so I signed in and I could add it to my bag. Edited August 22, 2014 by m0dulo Quote

into the blue Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 It's a bit of stretch to call that one minifig scale, it's huge! It's pretty much the correct scale for the old-school technic figures. It's also a total dust magnet, black shows this up worse than any other colour. Quote
Phamas Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 It's a bit of stretch to call that one minifig scale, it's huge! I was referring to the Artifex's version. Unless you mean that one is huge too? The UCS one is definitely massive. I made mine today and putting Batman inside, it was like baby batman inside his crib shaped like a tumbler. Quote
_epicster_ Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 Damn! Joker goes for like $60 and Batman is only a few bucks behind him. Lot more than I thought. Figured $30-40 range. At that might as well buy the set and part it out for anyone who only wants figures Quote

Gerechtigkeitsliga Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 I love this vehicle and its great design. So i bought two of them. One for show and one for the future Quote
CommishGordon Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 I received my Tumbler last Thursday and had the chance to build it over the weekend. I really like it. The vehicle is larger than I expected - which is great - and I thought the build was pretty enjoyable. To top it off the minifigures and the stand make a perfect display piece. I'm very happy with the Tumbler. Quote
kamsohal Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 hi im just wondering when will it be released for the uk? Quote
