ChiefPie Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 I hope we will get a battle pack with the new storm troopers in the 2016 winter wave. Quote
Tariq j Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Indeed, there's not going to be a whole lot of information we'll be able to get from these sets, other than names of characters. (Some of which we've gotten anyway). Quote
TWP Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 It seems to me that all of the new sets are a bit high in price... which leads me to believe they will contain a lot of extra stuff other than what one can derive of the sets name. Quote

Thats what I was thinking. I think the Tydirium set will be on Endor (like when they first land) with like speeder bikes, trees, etc. Edited January 8, 2015 by Chris12399 Quote
Corydoras Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Is it confirmed that the WOLF stuff are EPVII sets? I remember seeing the codename WOLF on some concept sketches for Rebels a while ago... Quote
GuyDudeMan27 Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Is it confirmed that the WOLF stuff are EPVII sets? I remember seeing the codename WOLF on some concept sketches for Rebels a while ago... I guess so. I think the codename wolf was used because Dave Filoni really likes wolves/ the wolfpack clones. Quote
Dragonlego27 Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Possible spoilers from TFA below, though my speculation is based on rumour so may be incorrect. The £15 sets have been bothering me for a while now, as I've been trying to work out what they could be. I think they're TLG's of avoiding the "no battlepacks in a summer wave" rule, by making Battle of Saleucami style sets, which don't necessarily count as a battlepack, based on TFA. I read somewhere a while back that there might be an Imperial attack on Yaven 4, so that's my first battlepack idea for September: a set that looks like cross between the Endor battlepack and the aforementioned Saleucami set with two speeders and forest barricade build, with two Rebel soldiers, two of the new stormies and either a Rebel captain or a chrome stormtrooper. I think the other set might be based on the battle on the mysterious ice forest planet which was mentioned on this topic about 15-20 pages back, although I don't what it could contain, apart from perhaps a generic Inquisitor with a double sided head to portray two different masks, although that would depend on how many Inquisitors are in the film. By the way, if there are any more Rebels sets in the summer wave they could be based on Season Two of Rebels, which should have started airing by then. Quote
ArrowBricks Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 (edited) 75091 Classic Flash Speeder £34.99 75092 Naboo Starfighter £54.99 75093 Death Star Final Duel £69.99 75094 Imperial Shuttle Tydirium £79.99 I like the idea of classic sets but wow these are expensive! My guess is that the Flash Speeder and Naboo Starfighter will have extra things included; e.g part of a hanger for the Naboo Starfighter? Death star duel is not really a surprise for price point as it will be like Palpatine's Arrest. 75106 Imperial Assault Carrier £99.99 This is a rebels set i'm pretty sure. 75099 Episode VII £19.99 75100 Episode VII £39.99 75101 Episode VII £59.99 75102 Episode VII £69.99 75103 Episode VII £79.99 75104 Episode VII £99.99 75105 Episode VII £129.99 Expensive! surprised September is the month they will be released in however it may change, I think it will. Looking forward to these like most Star Wars fans! 75107 £14.99 75108 £14.99 75109 £19.99 75110 £19.99 75111 £24.99 75112 £29.99 This is tricky as it could be anything but I think these are going to be from Rebels just like the Imperial Assault Carrier. Unsure of the £14.99 sets however cheaper price point for Rebels as it targets the younger generation. 75096 Hoth Echo Base 75097 LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar Forgot to add these in. Hoth Echo Base is a UCS right? Does anybody reckon the Advent Calendar could be based on either Episode 7 or Rebels? Edited January 8, 2015 by ArrowBricks Quote
DarthR2-D2 Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 I imagine the reason for how expensive these Saga sets might be because they could be minifigure heavy. I feel like we're going to get a chunk of the main cast of each trilogy as well as some enemies with those four sets as we probably won't see that much of I-VI sets in the next several years. With the Naboo Fighter & Flash Speeder, I expect Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, Anakin, Padme, Maul, Gunray, and maybe Jar Jar with a bunch of battle droids. With the Final Duel and Tydirium, I expect Han, Chewie, Leia, C-3PO, R2-D2, Luke, Vader, Sheev, and maybe Lando with some commandoes and Stormtroopers. Quote
Kodan Black Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Expensive! surprised September is the month they will be released in however it may change, I think it will. Looking forward to these like most Star Wars fans! They really can't change the date. There is a logistics pipeline involved when you begin to work with major retailers, plus you are talking every company that actually produces this stuff (Hasbro, etc). I'm not saying it can't possibly happen, but it would be quite surprising. Just like the release of the movie could change, but 99.99% chance it doesn't. Quote
TWP Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Forgot to add these in. Hoth Echo Base is a UCS right? Does anybody reckon the Advent Calendar could be based on either Episode 7 or Rebels? No. At least it's not UCS, but popular opinion seems to be this is a really big set. I actually don't get why at all - there is no source at all for it being big. Usually the september/october D2C sets are around 100€/$/{. Does anyone share my opinion? BTW I just really hope that flash speeder contains a decent amount of Naboo security guards, to lower those redicuously high aftermarket prices of the one in the MTT Quote
Robianco Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Not that there needs to be... But is there a precedent for replacing a ship such as the Millennium Falcon with another version at exactly the same price point with the only real difference being a change of radar shape Would they just recall any remaining stock of the OT version? I see it's been retired based on the sale status and out of stock on S@H. Quote
Jedi-Bendu Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Well I'm completely fine with this,Lego sets based on a movie don't give big SPOILERS but minor if you look closely,I mean the new Avengers:Age of Ultron sets are mostly spoiler free since it acknowledges things we already know.Like for example:Hulk vs Hulkbuster or the Avengers attacking Hydra. Indeed, there's not going to be a whole lot of information we'll be able to get from these sets, other than names of characters. (Some of which we've gotten anyway). That's what people were thinking as well 16 years ago when the soundtrack of Ep1 was released.....and then they saw Track #15 The character names on the box could be huge spoilers; Daisy Ridley's character for instance is named Rey. So far, Lucasfilm has kept her last name a secret. If they (Lego) include her in a set and put just Rey under her minifig on the box it's OK.....Now, suppose she's the daughter of Solo or Skywalker and Lego also puts her last name on the box......bye bye surprise..... The same goes for Max Von Sydows character; there's a huge debate on the 'net regarding his identity (which is still a mystery....but there have been some leaks indicating things). Knowing who he is before seeing the movie could spoil a lot. Quote
pcsguy88 Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 My personal opinion for the price hikes is Disney is milking their new cash cow. They paid well for Lucas films and now it's time to collect. Quote

1974 Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 If TLG reveals major points of the new movies to come, I'll have to quote Owen Lars : "there'll be hell to pay" (Because I know a similar thing actually happened in '99 with a certain leaked video) So NO TLG spoliers for SW7, that IP is just to valuable for TLG (and Disney too) Quote
Clone 01354 Productions Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 (edited) Episode 7 sets in September? Why!? That's way too early, not to mention plot spoilers!! How and why did Disney ever allow this? I doubt we're getting a set titled something, like "All the Main Characters Die!". We'll likely get a Millennium Falcon, a TIE, Rey's speeder, the ship the Stormtroopers are in, an X-Wing.....and that only leaves 2 more TFA sets. I mean, LEGO did good keeping it spoiler free for ROTS. We got sets like "Clone Scout Walker", not "Clone Scout Walker that Blows Up Jedi Because Order 66 Was Enacted by Palpatine When He Turned Anakin to the Dark Side After Throwing Samuel L. Jackson Out A window....Also, Padme Dies". LEGO knows what they're doing. Disney knows what they're doing. Edited January 8, 2015 by LN-01354 Quote
rollermonkey Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 I love that set, LN! So much complaining about spoilers, but also so much focus on finding stuff out long before the general public does... Don't want spoilers? Get off the internet until the movie comes out and then hide in a cave. There WILL be stuff all over the place, and it's only going to get harder to avoid the closer we get to the movie's release. Quote
Darth Punk Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 Well the only way to have absolutely no spoilers is not to have any sets released before the movie. Dont think anyone wants that. And I don't think having a name is much of a spoiler. And if it is you will probably have to hide in a cave not to hear and see anything as Disney is going to be carpet bombing the world with advertisement for TFA. Seeing as TLG would need approval for a release date as would Hasbro, etc, there won't be any releases by those companies that Disney is not aware of already. Quote

legolandia Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 My personal opinion for the price hikes is Disney is milking their new cash cow. They paid well for Lucas films and now it's time to collect. Lego signed a contract with Lucas films not long before the Disney purchase so not sure how Disney's acquisition would affect the prices. I would rather say that the price hike is very likely Lego itself trying to milk the hype that is and will be created over the Ep 7. Quote

I see it's been retired based on the sale status and out of stock on S@H. Well, the set from 2011 was not that good....It was the first large set I got, and the first purchase I was disappointed in. I mean, all Technic sticking out the bottom, weird proportions, flimsy flaps.....There is no where to go but up. LEGO could make an underside, give it better proportions, and make it more.....good.....And I'll buy the set. It's the same reason I want them to make a new Sith Infiltrator. Quote

And then two mystery sets, but I doubt they would reveal anything massively important to the plot......And if they do, I might cry. The day I go to see the movie, I'll check this site and see "New Set Revealed: 75103 Max von Sydow Reveals Himself as the Big Bad and then Kills Luke Skywalker During the Duel on the Death Star III Right Before It Destroys Coruscant".
