Ultron Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 Interesting a sixth Marvel set......maybe USM one or is it 6 for the Avengers film ? Maybe it's an exclusive or something? It's listed with the brainiac set which I think is some sort of exclusive Quote

DJ Bricks Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 So in USD we're looking at about (correct me if I converted wrong) Set 1- $20 Set 2- $25 (Maybe $30 which seems more likely to me. Probably contains a unique fig that may jack up the price) Set 3- $45 (Maybe $50) Set 4- $100 Set 5- $85 (Maybe $90? $85 seems like a weird price to me) Set 6- $75 Total: about $350 for the whole wave. Wow. That's a lot of money. Better be high quality sets and figs. I think you did convert wrong, we normally pay the same or less than the people in Europe. Interesting a sixth Marvel set......maybe USM one or is it 6 for the Avengers film ? 5 AoU sets is what we know of. The sixth could be an USM set or it could be an Ant-man set for that price, I remeber Hulk-Smash talked with someone who saw the sets and said that we are getting a Bionicle buil IM Hulkbuster and an Ant-Man set. Maybe Marvel decided that they should give lesser known charaters sets bases on thier films, given that they are now going to do two films a year: one a sequel to an exsisting franchise, the other introduces new characters and thier franchises. just2good Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 (edited) As I pointed out before, the sixth set is listed as an Avengers set on Werst. I don't mind whether it is or isn't, but only time will tell. Edited September 13, 2014 by just2good Quote
Faefrost Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 It wasn't nearly as dark, though, that's for sure. I think I would've been okay with it if it were the classic bright blue suit rather than the Astonishing dark one. Maybe it's my relatively dark purist collection, but I can't stand colorless superhero figs anymore. I'd be fine with classic or 90's or really anything that had some POP to it. The interpretation of the blue varied a bit over time. Plus many later reprints seemed a brighter blue because they were printed on a bright white heavier grade paper and not the original yellowed comic paper. But it was often a very very dark blue black. The best contrast for blues can probably be seen is GS XMen #1 when you compare the dark "scuba suit" blue of cyclops with The blue in Thunderbird or Nightcrawlers outfits. Quote
Kez Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Oh boy it's shaping to be an expensive year next year. I can't wait until we see images of this fantastic sounding list. Quote

Colossus Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Say...did anyone see the prelim photos link over in The 2015 City thread? There's a new Chima set for the phoenix tribe that looks to use new flame pieces. It may be a small thing to note, but it looks like this Chima set would make a helluva backdrop Phoenix Effect for uh...Phoenix. I'd link the thread, but I'm on my phone here. Quote
CM4Sci Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 (edited) Speaking of prelims, all that I found on the site was box sizes for AoU. One is kinda tall. -Sci Edited September 15, 2014 by CM4Sci Quote

Douglas_Jon Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Am I the only one who can't see the actual pictures of the sets or is everyone else the same? I can only see the boxes with grey print where the pictures of the sets should be. Quote

None of us can see it. Edited September 15, 2014 by just2good Quote
Marvelfan120 Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 I can't see the pics either, looks like they were taken down :( Quote
Robert8 Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 They are still there. It's just the box. There are no photos of the sets yet. Quote
JaseTJ Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Why are some people saying they can see pictures of the sets, then? All I see is the boxes... Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted September 15, 2014 Author Posted September 15, 2014 Some people think they're being hilarious but it's not obvious to everyone that they're joking. When making a joke, people should keep in mind that tone of voice is hard to convey in a post. Please don't cause confusion. Quote
