Ondra Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 And last question, that rumoured big gap between wheels and mudguards is really that big?Can you made thought about studs beetween wheels and mudguards? Quote
Balrog Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 And last question, that rumoured big gap between wheels and mudguards is really that big?Can you made thought about studs beetween wheels and mudguards? 3-4 studs. More like 3 1/2. Quote
davidmull Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 The model looks bigger in proportion to 8258. Longer and higher just more meaty. Quote
Ondra Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 Really big compare to 8258 that looks to be around 2 studs.I dont seem why there is such abig gap if there isnt any suspension. Quote
gevans12 Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 Guys, don't get me wrong, I'm excited to see pictures as well, based on the descriptions released so far, the new crane and MB truck sound awesome, but we seem to be missing the big picture here...the fact the sets aren't released for another SIX MONTHS AT LEAST!...so I'm sure we can wait two weeks for the pictures from Nuremburg Toy Fair can't we? Or am I wrong on that? Quote
Ondra Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 Life is short, for example I can be hit by real arocs truck . Quote

D3K Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 There has to be suspension with the big gap. It's same wide as 8258 just taller and more beefy I'm still not convinced it has suspension. The gap is big when the real truck is sitting still on a flat surface, it just indicates the travel of the front axle suspension. That doesn't mean there must be suspension on the Lego truck, but it might be just to model the looks of the truck as accurately as possible. Don't get me wrong; I really hope there is suspension! If all the things we hope for are true (double rear wheels, suspension on all axles, larger pneumatics, dumpable bed etc) I'm pretty sure this set will be an all time favourite among most AFOLs here! allanp Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 (edited) Oh well. Although I'm finished with this hobby let's read the rumours about what technic "treats" TLG are bringing out next year. I bet it'll be more LA's and such. *reads rumours* WHAT!!!!!!!! I'm back! Edited January 16, 2015 by allanp Quote

I don't agree. Models with no suspension are lower. This is a lot higher off the ground than 8258. It has suspension I'd say. Quote
efferman Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 So the ground clearance is in a good relation to the mudguard gap and higher than an onroad ruck with 62,4x20 tires? Quote

Balrog Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 There's a lot bigger gap between tire and mudguard than 8258 But, that is just the same with the real trucks. Those that are used on build sites have the large gaps because they need to go a little offroad. Trucks that are only used on streets don't have such a huge gap, because they do not need so much wheel travel. Quote

Rishab N Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 Well I searched google for like 10 min for pics, and then just got bored . Looks like patience is going to be the best option Quote
davidmull Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 and the ground clearance? Ground clearance also looks higher than 8258. It's hard make out fully but it's more for sure. Quote
Ondra Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 (edited) In real arocs there isnt big gap at least for last three axles http://storage.technicbricks.com/Media/2015/TBs_20150102_1/TBs_20150102_1a.jpg Edited January 16, 2015 by Ondra Quote

allanp Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 (edited) I was, kinda, but with this news not anymore. If the Arocs turns out to be what I hope it is then I'm gonna be getting more than one for sure, hence the phrase "I'm back!" at the bottom of my last post. Depending on the new parts it's gonna be lots more years and lots more Lego Edited January 16, 2015 by allanp Quote
OG_technic Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 Hey guys, I have been following thread pretty closely for the past few weeks, and I'm mega excited for the Arocs! Going to have to start saving up though, which means I might have to forego a few other things I wanted Quote
1974 Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 I don't remember that we allowed you to turn in your LEGO card, did we chaps? Quote
