brickdater Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Hi guys and gals! I'm new to eurobricks and I wanted to show you all what I've been working (on-and-off) on for the past year. I just posted this to the Lego Ideas site, so please take a look and tell me what you think! https://ideas.lego.com/projects/77779 Quote
Bricksley Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 It looks at basically well but I think that cabin is a bit tight. Blue and white is a good combination :) Quote
Paul Boratko Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Someone had shared this on Facebook yesterday and I think I seen it at Brickset... It truly is an amazing piece of artwork... Quote
Jeroen Ottens Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Cool car, I like the details around the doors and the interior Quote
grum64 Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Well you certainly know how to make an entrance! You've done a brilliant job of capturing the lines of the 'vette and I think your choice of colours is great. It looks awesome! Consider this build supported Quote
Chapachuk Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Very good, can you post some more detailed pictures. Some very nice details you did. How you did back lights, cant recognize the white bricks? Quote
EvilEnderman Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=48169 I reckon he used one of these, or a peice with the same 'serrated hole edge' with a pin with stud and the red plate inside the hole. (These come in white) Quote
N-4K0 Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Good job on the interior, very detailed for the size. Quote
Rishab N Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Great work. You should enter this in the Model Team competition Quote
Zerobricks Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Great work. You should enter this in the Model Team competition Just wanted to suggest that. is the model smaller than 15x45 studs and pure? Quote
brickdater Posted August 30, 2014 Author Posted August 30, 2014 (edited) http://www.bricklink...tem.asp?P=48169 I reckon he used one of these, or a peice with the same 'serrated hole edge' with a pin with stud and the red plate inside the hole. (These come in white) Close. The tail light is a combo of part 41533, a technic pin, and a round plate: A rod runs through each pin (red rods for the outer lights, and white for the inner reverse lights) Edited August 30, 2014 by brickdater Quote
Osuharding1 Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 This thing would look great sitting right next to Madoca's Corvette! Great work! Quote
brickdater Posted August 30, 2014 Author Posted August 30, 2014 Just wanted to suggest that. is the model smaller than 15x45 studs and pure? Unfortunately it is 18-wide :( This thing would look great sitting right next to Madoca's Corvette! Great work! Madoca's Vette is on a whole other level. Super recognizable detail on a working chassis with lights, etc.? Unreal. Quote
timslegos Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Wow the curves are simply incredible, nice work piecing it all together. tim Quote

Kierna Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Awesome, I love Corvettes Great job capturing the shape. I like the colours, too. 9/10! (I'd say 10/10 if it had fat high-proile tyres) Quote
Lipko Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 This model is doing very well on Ideas. Maybe the best among the Model Team-like models. Quote
