Am I really the only one here who doesn't want Taun-Tauns?? *wacko* They'd probably be crappy one-piece molds which I'd... dispose of (in a trade, of course :-P).

TK

No, you're not the only one. I don't really 'want' them as well. I would mind off course, but I don't have this 'craving' for them as well ;-)

I just hope it's gonna be lot's of snowies & Hoth rebels, and like mentionend earlier, a white speeder would be nice as well :-)

Yea I know, I was around for it. I'm just saying, we've not seen it since. Who knows.. These battlepacks are getting larger and larger in size. I also wonder how a scaled down hailfire droid might look :O.

Like always, many tks Sam & DJSaulTNutz ;-)

Hoth Battlepack - Contents unknown, but NO Taun Taun

Can you hear *yoda* screaming with exitment X-D

That is surely great !! Oh boy how I love those snowies and rebels 8-

Um......................

*Cough Geonosis Playset *Cough

Well excuse me but Sam's post didn't mention the name Geonosis :-| Was I suppose to guess ??

Look down and tell me there is written Geonosis |-/

Enough of this off-topic-ness, here's some more news (thanks to DJSaulTNutz of course!).

The two new battlepacks other than the Stormie battlepack will be:

Hoth Battlepack - Contents unknown, but NO Taun Taun

Droid Battlepack - 4 battle droids, 2 super battle droids, a dwarf spider droid and a hailfire droid!

The names aren't accurate/confirmed, I just made them up based on the contents ;-)

Hmmm I don't see the word either :-D

Hailfire droids I beleive were used during The geonosis battle

Maybe a should be more clear

*Cough Geonosis Playset next year *Cough

Piranha

Off topic too, but I have to say that this was pretty funny, thanks! :-D

Hmm, yes, I think I can... A bit high pitched... X-D

If it has a hailfire and a dwarf spider droid, I can see why he think's its a Geonosis playset, since both these droids were at the Geonosis battle. If it is Geonosis, then maybe we'll get Ep II clones! Oh boy! *sweet* :'-)

I have a question regarding that Trooper set. You say 4 stormies which is great !! So there are no Tie Pilot then ??

Xwing-

With respect to the stormie battlepack..............

I cannot see the pilot completely but I can see that he has white legs...and can clearly see 3 other stormies, so I believe it is 4 in all....no tie pilot. But hey, TLG could always change it at the last minute.

Sam-

The battledroids are not sand red....it would make sense but they aren't . You do get at least one or two commanders with the colored torso markings....but the battle droids are tan, and the supers are the new metallic blue....

I am excited for some different stuff, but am a bit hopeful there will be a nice UCS original trilogy set or something....b/c currently all the OT stuff coming out this year, stays current for next year.....

There will also be a Grievous model that when assembled is about 12 inches high, and potentiall with a real cloth cape included....I have seen this model myself and it is really fantastic. It will be one of the UCS models for next year.

DJ - thanks for all the great info. A couple of questions for you:

The current SBDs are more gray and the originals from the 7163 were the metallic blue. Just for clarification, did the photos you saw have the gray (new) or metallic blue (old) SBDs?

The Grievous model sounds fantastic! Is it more of a Technic set like the 8000 series models (C3PO, Jango, Darth Vader, Battle Droid and SBD, etc.)?

Can you share about the other UCS sets you have seen?

Thanks again!

No sand red droids?? Oh nuts those are the ones i like the best >:-( , if thats the case then i might have to pass on this one.

Damn shame were still not getting any damn taun tauns, but i still have hope that tlc will one day give us them and a wampa too.

I really hope that, too! Taun tauns and a wampa would be absolutely necessary in addition to the great new Hoth Rebel Base. A Han Solo, a Major Bren Derlin and a Luke Skywalker in Hoth outfit (similar to the Lego Arctic suits) and a Lieutenant Wes Janson would be necessary, too.

I (would) like a very big spectrum of different minifigs, even of them which don't play a very important role in the movies.

But nevertheless: A dropship with stormies and a Hoth battlepack for 2008 are really good news. I hope that a set with a bantha and some Tusken Raiders will be released, too. (See my wishes for SW sets on http://eurobricks.hosting.ipsyn.com/eurofo...opic=8730&st=90, too!) The bigger problem is: Where shell I get the whole money for all these sets from? I haven't buyed the most 2006 SW sets yet and the AT-ST is the first SW 2007 set I bought this year? - I think I need a cash cow!

OK that sounds great !! We need more troups, thats for sure !! And I already have a lot of pilots hehe !!

I sure hope that vehicle looks better than the crappy looking bike that is out now |-/

Wow! That would be some battle pack. How am I supposed to buy this AND the MTT as well as all the other sets in different themes that I want? Well Lego?

Well, I will first answer andrex: You have the UCS Hailfire droid, right? Put a lego SBD next to it. Watch the movie when the hailfires were coming forward and some droids were clearly there. Now put a 3 3/4 in. SW figure(anything if ya don't have an SBD) or any 3 3/4 in. figure. I'm just saying that that Hailfire droid was about 3 3/4 in. And I hope the new one won't be some cheap bricky thing. :-X Although I'll be impressed if they can make it with the Tie Crawler treads. Now I will answer Sinner and Klaus Dieter: 1st of all, I have all of the first 07 sets, i.e., the 06 07s. :-| If you do, you should have no problem in laying out your money for the new ones. For those of you who don't have all of the 06 07s and the 07 07s are out, hold off on the 07 07s, only because they will be there a while. Of course, you should keep an eye on them. Try and remember how many there were so you can see if they start dissapearing. Then you should grab it. Otherwise, go for the 06 07s because with luck, not as many people are buying them and more people are saving up for the new ones. Which gives you a chance to get the 06 07s and tally your money into piles so you will be ahead of the game. Good Luck!

Mind you, the hailfire droid lego previously released was not to scale, and I'm sure they can be made smaller. Perhaps next years battlepacks are a bit more costly.

Thanks a million for all these awesome 2008 tibits, DJSaul! I'm especially looking foward to the battlepacks and Greivous model (of course :-P ).

Too bad about the droids though. I really wanted sand red, since I missed out on the Geinosis set back in 2003! >:-(

Davin thanks for that. I think I know what you mean.

The Grievous model sounds guzzlegasmulous :D. I'm still most hyped about the Force Unleashed set! I wonder if we'll get a Shaak Ti minifig or something. Thanks for all this info btw :D.

Personally I'm holding back on all the sets so far, I've got to save up. The Force Unleashed set is in high priority, and possibly Grievous too :D.

I'm quite surprised with the line up, I thought with lego re-releasing Ep 1 sets I thought they would re-release Ep 2 sets so we could get a fleshie Dooku and Jango but perhaps that will come later in the year.
