ADHO15 Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 Hello everyone. After struggling with lots of ideas and a great deal of debate about what to make, I finally gave the Gungan city of Otoh Gunga a try in LEGO Digital Designer in MINI scale and settled on that as my entry. I realise it is a very basic design, the details may not be as accurate as they could be and the scale may be off in some places, but I'm just glad to have something to submit. So here it is: And close-ups of the three types of pod: And the LXF File if you'd like to download the model for a closer look. Comments welcome. Thanks for looking. Quote
Mr Man Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 This dome is the best I think. Really nice job ADHO . Quote
Walter Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 Cool miniature of the Gungan city! Instantly recognized it. Quote
ADHO15 Posted April 1, 2012 Author Posted April 1, 2012 This dome is the best I think. Really nice job ADHO . I made that one first so I was able to get more detail on it, I think. Thanks a lot! Cool miniature of the Gungan city! Instantly recognized it. Thank you, Walt! Quote
M<0><0<DSWIM Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 Very cool little build and very original idea! I think this may be the first attempt at this idea in this scale that I've seen. Quote
ADHO15 Posted April 1, 2012 Author Posted April 1, 2012 (edited) Very cool little build and very original idea! I think this may be the first attempt at this idea in this scale that I've seen. Thank you very much! I also hadn't seen any creations like this previously. It's not an easy task, I suppose, with the difficult shapes and details of the pods. Rather than create a new topic for another small MOC, I thought I'd just add my second Community Build entry here. Inspired by discussions about what to make, I tried my hand at vignette depicting a Trade Federation MTT moving through a swamp, as seen during the invasion of Naboo. This is what I came up with... A close-up of the MINI-scale MTT (inspired by Legostein's version). LXF File It's the kind of MOC that would be much easier to make and include more detail on if it was made with real parts. Comments My nipples are burning. Thanks for looking. Edited April 7, 2012 by ADHO15 Quote
Mr Man Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 What are the little binoculars things at the front?. I love the style of the MTT, I think it's better tan the official mini. Comments My nipples are burning. Thanks for looking. Quote
JackJonespaw Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 What are the little binoculars things at the front? If you mean the flesh colored things, I think they're animals. Great MTT, and Gungan City! Nice micro-ing! (If that's a word. If not, you know what I mean.) Quote

Of the MTT: mounted blasters Of the swamp: large quadrupedal animals like JackJonespaw said. Thank you very much! I actually made that a long time along with a bunch of other MINIs for a Clone Conflict-related thing I was doing. Look here. Great MTT, and Gungan City! Nice micro-ing! (If that's a word. If not, you know what I mean.) Thanks a lot! Quote

Legostein Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 Hello! Great underwater city! I like the many differently sized globes. Regarding the MTT, I am glad to be of inspiration. Cheers, ~ Christopher Quote
ADHO15 Posted April 7, 2012 Author Posted April 7, 2012 (edited) Hello! Great underwater city! I like the many differently sized globes. Regarding the MTT, I am glad to be of inspiration. Cheers, ~ Christopher Thanks a lot, Legostein. If I had more time I may have made more sizes, added more details and replicated the smaller pods more times, but I thought what I had would suffice for the CB. Of course! I knew I got inspiration from somewhere. I did ask you for permission at the time, if you remember, but I shall go back and credit you in the post. Thanks for pointing that out.
