Captain Green Hair Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 Today we visit Captain Green Hair in his new beach house, located in Elysabethtown. The Captain meets us in his leisure suit. [CGH] Hello and welcome to my humble home! [CGH] I live here with my girlfriend Bricknancy. Ah here she comes now. [bN] Hiiiiii!!! [CGH] Why don't you go lounge, while I show our guests around? [bN] OK honey, I'll see you later! [CGH] She doesn't do much else anyway, but don't tell her I said that. Let's go inside! So here we are on the ground floor. To the left is our heating and stove, next to that is a shelf with rum. On the table are some fresh fruits and some more rum. I just love the elaborate tiled floors in these Spanish style houses, don't you? To the right you see a painting of one of my old ships and the stairs to the second floor are located here. Let's go upstairs! Here is our bed, my treasure chest, desk and some rum. You might wonder what is in my treasure chest: well it is of course my green headgear. They are invaluable to me. On my desk lies a map, and above the staircase there is an old flag I saved. What kind of flag is that CGH? Errr....ummm.....it is one of my former trade company. Let's uh go outside shall we? Through the bedroom you can go to the balcony. Here is a cannon I saved from a former ship and also my pet penguin ''hak hak'' can be found here. Of course on the table there is some rum and I like to watch the sun go down from here or look over the water through the spyglass. On a hot day it can also be nice to sit in the shade on the patio. Bricknancy is mostly found at the beach loungers located on the left. A bottle of rum is always good to have at hand, so there is a little table with the beach loungers. To the right is a launch boat we mostly use to get to town. It is always handy to have some rum in your boat. This is what the house looks from the right. And like this to the left. And yes the back can be closed to have a full building. That concludes my tour, you have a nice day now, and drink some rum! The house is located on the beach near Elysabethtown, The house is actually 16x16, so I'll license that as my first property. The use of the beach was granted by the gouverment, for his recent support in the Eslandola trade companies. The house makes about 1.000db's per month, this might have something to do with all the rum... I'm sorry for some of the unsharpness in the pictures, they didn't come out 100% as I would have liked. I hope you enjoy my little story. Untill the next! Quote
Elostirion Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 What a lovely house, great work! Quality > quantity. Quote
Capt Wolf Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 I love the design of this house! The roof, the arches and balcony ... all very Eslandolan. And nice details with the lantern and the vines, plus great landscaping wit the beach and trees. So much to like! Quote
Legostone Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 (edited) Gorgeous! Lots of great detail throughout. And lots of Rum all around too:D Great residence! I hope the hints you are giving here are about your past, not your future! Edit: I just noticed that use of the fence-piece as a ladder, not exactly a new use, but very well integrated here - I guess it is best to use it for this kind of setting if you want to use it like this:D Edited March 6, 2016 by Legostone Quote
Tezclatipoca Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 Great beach house ! So much rum to drink... Great design, I like this little beach you made to enhance the surrounding of your house ! An excellent build as always. Quote
kabel Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 Haha, this is awesome! I really like how we Eslandolans have more or less agreed on a certain colonial style. It's very recognizeable! I also like the humor in this, classic CGH I'd say! Quote
BrickOn Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 Nice house, great foliage on the outside and I love the interior, very cosy. Your gf is pretty fine too. Also a pet penguin! Quote
blackdeathgr Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 Lovely! Just lovely! Although houses are more or less cosmetic, this one surely show grandeur and a high status for the owner! That's the house i would like to live in! Quote
TitusV Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 Ah, lovely! The style is, as said before, quit recognable - and great to look at! White arches go espcially well with the roof, good job Quote
Ayrlego Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 Such a beautiful house, I want one! So much great detail but I especially like the vines growing up the wall. Superb job CGH! Quote
Franco Clarke Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 A very nice house, and a perfect plot for quick access to one's ship. I like the chest with the hair in it! Quote
Fuzzy MacFuzz Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 Awesome beach house, my daughter says she would really like to live there. My other daughter loves the pet penguin and wants one. I especially liked the creepers up the side and back, and the cannon in case the mother-in-law wants to come over for dinner. We all agree your hair is amazing but we think you need a matching moustache. Quote
Captain Dee Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 Lovely seaside house and beachscape, Captain Green Hair! (I still want to call you CRH... ) Those colors are beautiful, and while I don't normally like yellowed bricks they don't look bad in this setting. I really like all the arches and columns and that lovely roof. The interior is nice for something this size. But a cannon?! Wow. Now that's what I call home security! This has it all, really. It's well detailed all the way around and the ascending beach and trees look great. And the grey rowboat is a relatively rare piece. But isn't Bricknancy dressed a bit, well... scandalously for the age of sail? Drinking while boating can be dangerous - you might hit a wave, and spill your drink! Good work. Quote
Puvel Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 Great crib! The balcony and roof look very nice and that chimney is brilliant. Enjoy your rum on those beach loungers! And everywhere else Quote
Kolonialbeamter Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 Excellent! Just one question... when's the house-warming party? Quote
Captain Braunsfeld Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 An excellent build indeed. And you seem to be the only hero that is accompanied by a pinguin... (I always thought the green hair would make the distinction) Quote
Captain Genaro Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 A very fun way to showcase an amazing build. I'm particularly fond of the balcony, especially the studs on the sides. The beach and palm trees are a great addition to this already incredible build. I'm curious as to what trade company the good captain used to work for. The flag seems so familiar, but I can't quite place it with any company I know of... Quote
Bregir Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 I wonder what is in that rum, and if that is what makes his hair turn all green?! This is a beautiful build, and it is presented very well (and quite comically)! I really like the landscaping, but the house it self really looks fantastic - will it be on Airbnb so I can rent if for a weekend? Wonderful details all over. Well done! Quote
