DLuders Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 (edited) Case IH AxialFlow 9120 Combine Harvester -- ["The model is built by Martin Nygaard from Denmark, member of the Danish LUG "Byggepladen.dk". The model is the new stuff at Pjaltenborg AgriTech machinery. It's 1:20 [scale] so it fits the 8284-tractor and my JCB Fastrack. It contains 11 motors, 6 PF lights, 4 receivers and 3 battery boxes (1 in use and 2 for counterweight)....The key was given to Pjaltenborg AgriTechs owner Martin Nygaard the 8th April....This is my first serious MOC as TFOL, and was exhibited the model at "Klodsfest" in Vejle, Denmark. 2011. * 4x M for pneumatic valve * 1x M for pneumatic pump * 1x M for Fake engine * 2x for the cutting board (lifting and rotating) * 1x M for steering * 2x XL for drive Youtube video: ." 30 pictures on martinnygaard's Brickshelf gallery: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=469203 . Brickend Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 I think the functions involved are brilliant and I do like some of the detailing around the cab. I can understand why it is completely panelled in, but for me personally it seems a bit of a shame to cloak a complex model in such a relatively crude way, especially as there seem to be some issues with the proportions, which the chosen approach seems to empathize. Thanks, Brickend - i've choose to make a fully panelled model - for seeing all the "inner-life" the complete side is one panel, that Can be tilted as a real Case IH combine The picture Dluders show, is a WIP picture - en wires and pneumatic tubes are places a bit better now. Milan Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 Looks and performs good. I like how massive it is. It looks like body is a little too big for the chassis. Quote
Paul B Technic Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 This is what Technic is all about, making models as great as this. Very well done. Paul Quote

martinnygaard Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 I've taken some new pictures of the model: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=5076563 Quote
DLuders Posted June 26, 2011 Author Posted June 26, 2011 @ martinnygaard: I liked seeing your Lego model next to the real 9210 Harvester on your Brickshelf gallery, where you wrote "i bring the case to the local Case pusher, and took some pictures." I know that English is not your native language, so I should point out that it is more appropriate to say you brought your MOC to the "Case DEALER". We all know that the Eurobricks Technic AFOLs are "Lego pushers", hooked on Lego for life! Seriously, though, your MOC is excellent. Did the Case employees want you to build one for them? Quote

I gave it a couple of defining lines along the body just like the New Holland upon which it was based. I was quite pleased with my MOC, although mine was propelled by hand, as all controls were on the top. Quote

Seriously, though, your MOC is excellent. Did the Case employees want you to build one for them? Nope - they didn't, but i get that nice cap for free - (to exhibitions). I'm currently working at another project (Manitou MT 1440) they did already ordered one before it's done. (only from WIP. pictures. they gonna use it for some farming related exhibitions. I'v was thinking alot back when i should make the decision, but i belive my Case would look best with a complete set of frames, and just make it able to open and close. Thanks for your response! Traktor Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 (edited) It looks so awesome, but it think the belt should be a little wider or at least attached further out on the sides. Since the harvester itself is a bit wider than the wheels it looks slightly handicapped. And in real life i think it would be a serious chance for the harvester to tip over in the hills, not a problem in Denmark, where it barley exist any, but a real problem her in Norway.
