roamingstop Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 Looking up some videos on Crocodile trains for another project im working on, I came across the video for Der Koloss - or Big Boy... one of three made and still running around the Swiss Network (apparently). So a small challenge for anyone (I would love to do it - but have really no time). So the challenge would be for someone to design a PF or 12V equivalent of the A/E 8/14 of the SBB railroads. Warning: Heavy use of Dark Green plates could make this quite expensive. Wheels could also be from Big Ben... (and just for fun!) Quote
JopieK Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 nice one! did you also see the other videos that youtube suggests?!! Quote

roamingstop Posted November 6, 2011 Author Posted November 6, 2011 nice one! did you also see the other videos that youtube suggests?!! Of course - hut I thought this has the most power. Crocodile are so "last year". Actually because of the Alps, there are some interesting crocodiles in Swiss railroads; and well as shorter versions for the Austrian friends; and many other heavy duty haulers. A nice one is 12320 which was having a 'fitness test' in Winterthur a couple of weeks back. Quote
