xwingyoda Posted July 8, 2006 Posted July 8, 2006 Guys and gals, Here is a really short tutorial on how to deeplink pics directly in the post ;-) Step 1: How to Deeplink First, the link needs to end in .jpg Usually you will deeplink from your Brickshelf gallery: click on the pic you want to deeplink until it ends on .jpg like on the following pic (I circlred it in red ;-) ) Step 2: How to use it in the post Another really easy action ;-) a) press on th icon circled in green b) the box circled in red appears: just copy/paste the deeplink (step1) into that box and press on OK A side note: deeplinks work even if the Brickshelf gallery is not moderated yet ;-) Voil Quote

casewindu Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 Mine still isnt working :'-( can you put pics from flickr on this site? Quote
Starwars4J Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 It should, just try right clicking on the image and going to "View Image" or something of the like. As long as the link ends in .jpg Quote
Brickmaster Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 Do they have to end in jpg, or just highly reccomended? Quote
Hinckley Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 any picture format will work. One isn't recommended over another. I think SW4J was making sure the link wasn't dynamic. It can't be a script or an html or asp, etc file... Sometimes photo link properties from photo sharing sites are scripts that call the files from a database... Quote
Brickmaster Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 (edited) Ah, thank you Mr. Hinck! (Am looking to upload some pictures of my latest moc's soon) Edited November 8, 2007 by brickmaster Quote
Starwars4J Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 Yeah, I just said .jpg since that's far and away the most common format that you see people upload pictures in, but as Hinckley said any is fine :-) Quote
Siegfried Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 ...but BMP really should be avoided as they can be over 10 times as big... Quote
