oo7 Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 Our beloved adventurers have visited the scorching deserts Egypt, the Rainforests of South America, a secret island of dinosaurs, the icy peeks of the Himalayas, and the lush forests of India and China. Where should they visit next? Tropical Caribbean Islands and their lost temples of mysterious origin! Now to part where the pirate line comes in: Many years ago the peacefull natives traveled by canoe to this island to throw sacrifices into the lagoon as offerings to their gods, Untill the the day the gold-thirsty Imperial Armada invaded! After this is where the Adventurers comes back in so I won't go into it. But what particularly attracted me to this series of mocs was the enormous and beautiful Library.*wub* I would love to see Lego make something like this (but smaller, of course), I love Adventures and I love Pirates, so this balances them out perfectly and gives people the best of both worlds. This guy (or girl) sure has a lot of Imperial Armada Minifigs, and I love them with that "Euro Armor". Heck, I could have even posted this in the town forum becuse of the astounding library. The Gallery BTW, if anyone feels they want to inform Polska95 about this disscusion, feel free, the honor is yours. Just in case you didn't see it in the folder his/her E-mail adress is Polska95@AOL.com Note: This is a clone of a topic in the History and Adveturers forum authorized by Mr. Phes, see it here. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted September 24, 2006 Governor Posted September 24, 2006 But what particularly attracted me to this series of mocs was the enormous and beautiful Library. *wub* Maybe this is what the interior of The Great Library of Honduras looks like in MOC for? Note: This is a clone of a topic in the History and Adveturers forum authorized by Mr. Phes, see it here. Yes, I did. Apparently the Pirate Forum attracts users who ONLY post inside the Pirate Forum so this will be a perfect test to see whether we get responses from an entirely different audience. Quote

The actual building might look like this, but I think it would have less Adventurers and Castle artifacts in the cases and on the walls and more pirate artifacts. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted September 24, 2006 Governor Posted September 24, 2006 Why would it have less? Its a library with resources from all around the world! The mighty Conquistadors take whatever they please and then bring it back to the library. The pirate artifacts are in a different section, however being Conquistadors they really really liked the Islander artifiacts. Quote
Berry Syedow Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 That islander MOC is stunning! (Quite lush from a distance.) But I agree with 007, that the library is a sheer spectacle to behold. Quote
Scouty Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 All three mocs are incredible! I like the libray most, good detail in there. I wonder why there is a frog there? Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted September 25, 2006 Governor Posted September 25, 2006 All THREE MOCs? I thought there were only two? The library and all the rest were of the island in the Caribbean where the Islanders live. Or have I missed something? Quote
El Bucanero Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Hey Mr Phes, is that you standing in this pic (the soldier in grey armor)? the time that you still were a soldier perhaps? :-P Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted September 26, 2006 Governor Posted September 26, 2006 Grey armour? That horrible crap? What are you thinking Mr Tiber? I wear a stunning shiney curiass not one of those horrible lustreless things. What do you think of what our mighty Inquistion has done to this Islanders Mr Tiber? Do you think they should be punished for this atrocity or rewarded from clearing the island of vermin? Quote
gylman Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 Well, you have successfully attracted a non-pirate to your forum. That library is incredible. The best thing is that it is not one of those huge MOCs that seem so impressive at distance, but are more about how many bricks you can buy and how much time you can spend.... this one has tons of little detail, great proportion, and definitely doable by people other than the idle rich. So many ideas to steal, so little time - properly credited of course :-) Quote
Captain Roger Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 the islander island is cool i love the photo of the conquerors in the island... the building of 3rd photo is cool but i don't understand its relation with pirates Quote
El Bucanero Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 Grey armour? That horrible crap? What are you thinking Mr Tiber? I wear a stunning shiney curiass not one of those horrible lustreless things. Yes you do wear a shiney currias NOW, didn't you start as a soldier Mr Phes? What do you think of what our mighty Inquistion has done to this Islanders Mr Tiber? Do you think they should be punished for this atrocity or rewarded from clearing the island of vermin? Rewarding from clearing the island, and after we did that, they need to be punished bacause of not setting up a colony... Quote

And so we discover why Mister Phes never fell in love with the Castle Theme Quote

El Bucanero Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 I wish I bought that set when it was still available, some years ago...the only way besides bricklink to get my hands on a new chrome curras...The only one I have isn't chrome anymore....maybe I make a glass armor out of it... Quote
Landlubber Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 All THREE MOCs? I thought there were only two? The library and all the rest were of the island in the Caribbean where the Islanders live. Or have I missed something? I thought there were 3 at first. The islanders have their little island where they sacrifice goats and stuff Then the spanish come in, trash the island and leave it in ruins. Looks like the builder added a lot more foliage and made it look a bit more run down. Very clever if you ask me. I liiiike it. Quote

Or have I missed something? Eeeh. I make mistakes, too much. Could the person in the Gray armor be Mr. Phes' unkown evil Twin brother? j/k. off topic: 100th post! Quote
