Mike S Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 (edited) After receiving the message from the white turban, Gaius went to the fish market in Barqa. After locating one of the best fisherman in the area, he bought a bushel of the best of this fisherman's latest catch which he then had delivered to his small boat at the docks. He then navigated up river and looked for the secret entrance to the king of Arkbri's lair and soon after he arrived at his destination. The king's gaurds were hesitant to let him dock his boat but after seeing his load of fish let the king know of his arrival. "What brings you here with this load of fish?" asked the king of Gaius. "I have a favor to ask of you," Gaius replied. "I am in urgent need to find Ageven and have this letter delivered to him. As I know you have eyes all along the Arkbri river, I would beg of you to help me in this matter. I am willing to pay a large reward in fish now as well as after the letter has been delivered unopened and Ageven's reply has been brought to me." "Surely you have messengers yourself that could do this task," commented the king. "Why ask me to do it instead?" "This matter is a matter of life and death," Gaius replied. "My men might be watched and ambushed while noone watches your men." "Fair enough," replied the king, "but I will require three of these bushels of fish at the same quality after my men have completed this mission." "Done." And so a letter was soon delivered to Ageven. Edited February 11, 2013 by Masa of Kaliphlin Quote
kabel Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 That is a really cool moc, great cave effect, nice water and I'm glad I'm not the only one who still struggles to photograph his buildings moc expert style Quote
Captain Settle Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Great MOC and interesting story as well. Can't wait for the next part. Quote
soccerkid6 Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Very cool build and great use of the Chima figs The curving bridge, murky water, and rockwork are all excellent Quote
Maxim I Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 So much to love about the rocks and the water!! Also nice and surprising figs you used! It's really great to see how the Kaliphlin stories are stuck together!! Quote
SkaForHire Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 I really like your cave - your sideways building for the one side, and then normal building on the other mixes really well. It took me a minute to realize it was two different directions. I also like that the lizzardmen ride their cousins... I so wish I would have bought some of those raptors. Can't wait to see the next portion of the story. I just showed this to my fiance, who was very surprised when I told her she got written into the story months ago. She loves it though. Quote

Until I get my outdoor photoshop setup again, it would take me longer to photograph than to build the thing so I wouldn't be able to post anything if I wnated perfect pics Great MOC and interesting story as well. Can't wait for the next part. Thanks! Kai should be building the next part then I will probably finish up with part 3 or 4. Very cool build and great use of the Chima figs The curving bridge, murky water, and rockwork are all excellent Thanks! I'm trying to find alternative gear for all the Chima figs and so far think I have succeeded quite well. So much to love about the rocks and the water!! Also nice and surprising figs you used! Kayne Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 Great build Mikel! There is a lot of great things in here, but my favorite has to be the transition from the bley rock to tan and dark tan. I tried to do that once and failed utterly! Now, I see how it is done properly! Quote
Kai NRG Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 Nice job! Great layering for the cave, like Ska, I'm impressed by the way you managed to get the SNOT and vertical to merge so seamlessly! Ageven has received the message and replied, I hope the Crocodile king will have it delivered to you speedily! Quote

I'm not completely satisfied but I had to work with a limited amount of bricks in certain colors. I think it turned out the best it could have though because I hardly have any more dark tan bricks left over from this build. Quote
Rogue Angel Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 I love the flow lines you've created for the cave, and the use of the Chima figures is excellent. Nice build! Quote
