Nick Barrett Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 Scale is 1:11, Features 90 degree V8 fake engine, steering, 4 speed transmission, double wishbone front / live axle rear suspension and everything that should open, does. Except the glovebox. Still, at least the wheels don't rub the sides of the close fitting arches. Shelby Mustang GT350 by Nick Barrett, on Flickr The shift plate from 8880 is just superb - such a nice gearchange! Now we just need one in black.... Shelby Mustang GT350 by Nick Barrett, on Flickr It's the '66 model GT350 with side window in place of the '65's louvres. Well, the front ones do. The rear ones just sit there... Shelby Mustang GT350 by Nick Barrett, on Flickr Quote
JamesJT Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 The shape is spot on but its all the little details that really amaze me. Fantastic model. Quote
MikroMan Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 Slick! Love the seat design and the engine space. Quote
SilenWin Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 Wonderful! You caught all the forms of the original Quote
Oliver 79 Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 Love it. Instantly recognisable. I've been trying to make a technic chassis with a system body for a while. I shall be using this as inspiration. Any chance of a belly shot? Quote

nerdsforprez Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 But"A" for effort (leaf springs). Wonderful job. Love your stuff.... Always have. Little smoother this time....(few studs) but I like the look. Quote
Sylvian Posted April 20, 2016 Posted April 20, 2016 (edited) I've always loved your oldskool approach,.. This thing is really something, absolutely love the bodywork! Edited April 20, 2016 by Sylvian Quote
Nick Barrett Posted April 20, 2016 Author Posted April 20, 2016 Thanks everyone for the kind comments. Kind of a change from my usual style, mostly because it's smaller. Quote
John Daniels Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 Very nice, Nick! What a beautiful rendition of a beautiful car. Now I really want to go and build something. Quote
Zerobricks Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 As others said, it looks very well put together. Awesome use of curved slopes to get that smooth rounded look. And lets not forget all the realistic mechanics underneath. I think this is the first model team car with technic supercar mechanics, at least for me. Quote
