I've been using those knight pieces for "extras" or "cannon fodder" for a while now, they actually look pretty good.

I'm planing on changing thier arm color to blue and using them to beef up the french troops or they could be spanish with red or green arms

Yes, this seems like it could work for the Imperial Armada sub-theme...

What kind of troops are these intended to be, Mr Morse?

But to be distinctly Spanish wouldn't you need to replace the generic and general Pirate mini-figure heads with Imperial Armada mini-figure heads?

The Knights Kingdom (that's where the bearded head comes from isn't it) mini-figure head works very well for an Imperial Armada figure.

Yeah the heads they came with look pretty spanish to me. They had a bin of 4801 Defense Archers on sale at a Sears last year for a buck a piece...naturally I cleaned them out (68 of them if I remember correctly)

And those Shark kits they had a sale at Zellers for 50% off discontinued kits and I snagged 5 of those too!

cdc43a5b-d2d4-407c-8162-2cc4ed34c8a6_product_280x190.jpg

it's $1.35 in US

Item #lfh002 don't know if that works correctly or not

Comes with black "wheels" too

Edit Edit:

Oi, Phred, can you link me to your carronade on Lego.com? I really want to buy a few :) Great design!

I've finially got my new camcorders still image feature working properly, so i'll take a few pictures of some of my "stand in" pirate crew tommorow.

i'm trying to get it to work right now, try typing in that item number to see if it works (edit: it doesn't work)

Edit, Edit, Edit:

Admiral

I'm waiting for it to be approved by lego.com right now

Just goes to show youre never too old to learn something, I had to google "morion" to get a definition. Yeah I've got ONE morion...is that really what they're called? Are they called anything else? At a buck or so a piece I'll think I'll have to stick with shakos, but I'll find my morion and slap it on one to show you what it looks like.

Actually, maybe the heads you've got would be find if you replaced the shakos with morions, but morions aren't cheap since they're rare.

The main building of the shrieking shack is a good one for making your pirate town a little bigger if you remove the stupid swivel base. The boards over the windows can be removed and used as , well, boards. The other building is alright for parts, especially the large windows, which many of you may know I used on the govenors quarters of my large imperial fort. The transforming shed makes another little filler building for the town.

Excellent work, landlubber! I would have like to have purchased this set, but it was discontinued in U.S. before I could order it... ah, speaking of which there is another Harry Potter set perfect for pirate fanatics (Minus Mister Phes, most likely. :-P).

Next up is the set

The aptly titled "House 4956" is a note worthy mention. It features more of the same with a bigger piece count and a heftier price tag. If you're uninterested in fence pieces, but are in desperate need of 1x6x1 white arches then this house is the house for you!

Pieces: 731

Retail Price: $49.99

This really gives me a "governors mansion" feel, just get rid of the mailbox and change the garage.... And what about The Aquaraiders? I think the shark from aquaraiders looks more realistic then the designer one , and they also have muskets, gold coins, skeletons and a ''Kraken''...

  • Governor

And get trid of the footpath and driveway. I'd also change the windows to lattice windows and plant a palm tree in the front yard. Then we'd have a suitable exterior for a governor's mansion.

But what's the interior of these houses like?

But what's the interior of these houses like?

The first is empty with a checkered tile floor. The second is problably the same but I can't tell for sure because it just came out so I can't find any online pictures.

Yes, unfortunately 007 is right. Pity the bare interior; but that's where MOCcing comes in.

Yes, unfortunately 007 is right. Pity the bare interior; but that's where MOCcing comes in.

This next set is an excellent source of black "tentacles". "Why would a pirate fan want a load of useless black tentacles?" an ignorant pirate fan might ask. The ignorant pirate fan would soon recognize his error as the word kraken/and or/giant squid beat against his eardrum. Every ship needs a natural menace from the sea. A kraken/and or/giant squid is exactly the type of "mythical" creature that can add a bit of zest to your bland British occupied waters. Do yourself a favor and buy "Aragog in the Dark Forest 4727" today!

Also included in this set is a complimentary assortment of brown bricks, black half-arches, foliage, and a bunch of critters and cobwebs.

Pieces: 172

Retail price: Undetermined (possible $19.99)

You better buy a bunch of Sir Rascuses, his dark green legs are useful for tentacles!

Mr. Tiber, you make a good point! I don't suppose there are any MOCs already using his legs as tentacles? I do own four of those fellows after purchasing a few "battle wagon" sets on sale (mainly for the shadow knights), but I do have to admit that I like the Rascus figure. He's the most bearable of the five main characters. (IMO) :)

Apparently I was mistaken in my assumption that you were referring to mini-fig legs. I apologize for the confusion and subsequent argument.

*takes out his list of things to never do and writes down 'calling Monsieur Tiber ~Tiber'* :-P
