MOC: Tudor Toys

Tudor Toys is a tough challenge to me due to my limited collection of sand blue pieces. Only 3 types of sand blue pieces, 1x2 brick, 1x2 45 degree slope, and 1x4 tiles are used here (My only 3...). The design is based loosely on the early mock tudor style. The G/F shop features exciting goodies including a football table, 2 pinball machines, a teddy bear and more. Upper floor continues the decoration style of Noname House, featuring a sofa based on a designer chair, a table, and a potted plant.

I am particularly proud of the texture of the octagonal tower walls and it's this little design that leads to the construction of the building.

I guess castle fans may find it useful for medievel towers, the trick? 1x1 brick with studs on 4 sides.

That turret is fantastic! I thought at first it was 1x2 bricks offset like in a curved solid wall but then the detail shots revealed the slopes. Just amazing.

Here's a 3-step instruction for building the wall:

A 1x1 brick with studs on 4 sides has to be used for every 4 tan 1x1 brick in the middle. As you can see, the structure relies heavily on 1x1 bricks(I think I used at least 200 of them). While the tan 1x1 bricks on the sides can be replaced with 1x1 technic brick with hole and a technic half pin to improve sturdiness, I think the effect is not material enough to justify the additional cost.
