horizon Posted July 3, 2011 Posted July 3, 2011 Everything but the Fire Temple is listed, but not all of them are available. And the Lightning Dragon?? Quote
TheBrickDaddy Posted July 3, 2011 Posted July 3, 2011 And the Lightning Dragon?? No news on that. It will most likely be an exclusive, but I guess it won't be a TRU exclusive because they haven't listed it with the other sets (in comparison, the TRU exclusive Star Wars Hoth base has been listed). horizon Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 Why the f should they make one dragon exclusive? That's b*ll*cks. Anyway, how can you get an exclusive? Quote
Peppermint_M Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 Why the f should they make one dragon exclusive? That's b*ll*cks. Anyway, how can you get an exclusive? Well, you go to the shop it is exclusive to, or Lego Shop, bricks and mortar or online. You go to the area they keep the theme and you find the set... Taa Daa. Nothing hard about it at all. In fact in a bricks and mortar shop, the exclusive set often haas flags, tags and all around fuss on the shelf to let you know that you have to buy it at that shop. By the "b*ll*cks" I'm going to guess that you are UK based, well ToysRUs Argos and Tesco often are assigned an exclusive set, but of course the Lego shop online will have it anyway. Quote
horizon Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 Ah so.. I live in the Netherlands, so lego shop I reckon. Quote
Aanchir Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 Technically, a set that's exclusive to certain retailers in the US or UK isn't necessarily a store-exclusive worldwide. I can recall encountering the BIONICLE set 8935 Nocturn, a WalMart exclusive here in the US, at an independent toy store in Italy, lacking any sort of "Special Edition" designation on the box. Of course, 2007 isn't as recent as it feels, so it could be that TLG is doing things differently nowadays and trying to make store exclusives exclusive to a specific retailer in each country they sell them in. But I'd say that once the set begins to show up elsewhere in the world, it might be a good idea to check local retailers that carry Ninjago sets just in case it's marketed as a regular non-exclusive set in the Netherlands. duncan bulk Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 I would have to be LUCKY to get another Ninjago set with a dragon in it because of my Welsh based narrow gauge railway modelling and the price for most of the stuff and the price of those dragon sets :(. Quote

Aanchir Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 Thanks, but we've known those sets for a few months now. Here's a worthy update: TRU.com has the Lightning Dragon Battle listed in the USA! The bad news is that it's $80 USD... $80 doesn't sound that bad... to be honest, I expected a similar or higher price. The set has 645 parts, many of them large and some unique to that set, as well as four minifigures and a spinner. It's just over twice the MSRP of Earth Dragon Defense for more than twice the parts and minifigures. It's no miracle in terms of price, but who was expecting one for the second-biggest set of the theme? Quote
wildcat Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 (edited) anybody when the glider with zane in it comes out Edited July 14, 2011 by wildcat Quote
The Real Indiana Jones Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 (edited) All right, at last, ALL of the dragon sets are now posted on Toys R Us, including 2507 Fire Temple, and the TRU Exclusive 2521 Lightning Dragon Battle!! Most of the smaller sets like 2254 Mountain Shrine and 2509 Earth Dragon Defense are available for shipping in the USA right now, although the big red and blue dragon sets are still out of stock for the moment... And I notice that the links that are supposed to alert you when they get back in stock do not seem to work right, since they did not alert me when the Earth Dragon and the Mountain Shrine came back in stock, but I trust that some eagle-eyed AFOL will announce it here as soon as they are available... just as soon as you get the Order Confirmation for your own loot, right?! Here is a shortcut to the TRU Ninjago page, so you can feed your addiction by "chasing the dragon" every few hours! http://www.toysrus.com/family/index.jsp?categoryId=11161920&s=A-ProductAge&pg=1 Also, they are still not in stock at LEGO Shop at Home, but here is the link to that page, so you can scope it out too. http://ninjago.lego.com/en-us/Products/Models/Default.aspx#2521 Happy Hunting!! phil skycrawler Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 Did anyone think that there would be a new ninja for 2012? The teaser image at the end of the summer booklets shows a dragon face looking thing. So I figured it might be a new dragon! And new dragon means new ninja!! And new ninja means new golden weapon!!! A lot of attention has been drawn to this image around here, but I think it's just a teaser for the upcoming Earth Dragon set we've already seen. Quote
Dr.Cogg Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 (edited) Maybe Lizardmen as the new villians in 2012, It fits with how crazy the NinjaGo theme is ? p.s. the Earth Dragon is mainly brown and that lizard is green. Edited July 27, 2011 by Dr.Cogg Quote
Aanchir Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 Nah, I don't think so. A lot of attention has been drawn to this image around here, but I think it's just a teaser for the upcoming Earth Dragon set we've already seen. That wouldn't make any sense at all. The image clearly says "2012", while the Earth Dragon is a 2011 set due out at around the same time as all the other summer releases. In fact, it's already available on S@H in a number of countries. The image does clearly show a green dragon, but like all teaser images it's easy to read too much into it. It would be straight-up boring if Ninjago could only continue by releasing new sets based on the same exact pattern of dragon+ninja+weapon, and I doubt the story would introduce a new golden weapon unless there were a new role for it. Basically, I expect the 2012 Ninjago story to follow a brand-new plotline, probably coinciding with the television series due to come out by the end of this year. The dragon face could have a number of meanings. Possibly there will be dragon-people rather than skeletons as new foes. Or possibly there will be a dragon for the "bad guys" this time. Whatever happens, all the teaser tells us is that 1) Ninjago will continue in 2012 and 2) dragons will continue to be important. Quote
Mirandir Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 It's not a dragon's face it's the face of one of the snakeman foes of next year... Quote

---Vertea--- Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 a bit late, but my TRU in Arizona has all of the summer sets. ALL of them. I picked up the Earth Dragon and the Garmadon spinner. I might do a review if I can find the time. Quote
squidman85 Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 Maybe that's some kind of tokusatsu monsters,or other ninja clan.Or organisation.Or maybe superdeluxemegachampionsnakewarriors. Quote
