kris kelvin Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 The best model of this line Especially after this Burj Round Brick Quote
prateek Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 It's hard to tell from the picture, but behind the chimney is a new part, a 33 degree double concave slope. There should be 2 in the set, in dark red. Also note that the base is 3 plates thick. This is to provide for the sunk-in area in the front that leads to the lower level. Awesome! Hopefully it's true. Delta 38 Posted July 15, 2011 Posted July 15, 2011 (edited) Wow, this is definitely one of the better models. I originally mistook those clear pieces for windows as stickers or printing (though I guess those won't be present in an Architecture set), and the bricky look works really well. That dark red is also rather nice. Edit: is it just me, or is the red very different from the actual building itself? It's great, either way. Edited July 15, 2011 by Delta 38 Quote

Leg-godt Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 Cool! That's a lot of sand green cheesers! Also, what piece are the columns on the sides made of? Quote
I Scream Clone Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 Cool! That's a lot of sand green cheesers! Also, what piece are the columns on the sides made of? Yum Sand green cheese. The side columns are the 1x4 fence piece, Quote
ThunderChild Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 I guess it would look far more impressive as a landmark set like the tower bridge with over 3000 parts. Especially the quadriga looks somehow...strange Quote
Miss Kyle Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 I guess it would look far more impressive as a landmark set like the tower bridge with over 3000 parts. Especially the quadriga looks somehow...strange Yeah, the first thing I did was to laugh at the quadriga :D It's a funny idea though. All in all I like the set. Quote
ThunderChild Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 Yes, it's nice, so maybe it will become my first architecture-set. If i can resist to buy the space needle. Quote
Rick Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 Tap pieces with open 'nozzles' again? Haven't seen those for a while... new mold maybe? Quote
Lasse D Posted July 24, 2011 Posted July 24, 2011 If that German set is real, then LEGO has changed its policy of 'US landmarks only'. Quote
Mirandir Posted July 24, 2011 Posted July 24, 2011 If that German set is real, then LEGO has changed its policy of 'US landmarks only'. Dunno if it's really a policy of any sort but if it was, it was changed well before Brandenburger Tor: 21008 Burj Khalifa Quote
tafkatb Posted July 24, 2011 Posted July 24, 2011 If that German set is real, then LEGO has changed its policy of 'US landmarks only'. That was never a "policy," more likely just the result of the designer being a US-based architect. And it most certainly is real! Quote
