Brickdoctor Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 Other heroes seem to be going to sleep now, so I walk over to the new one* and introduce myself. Good evening. I'm Bartholomew Docken, Ranger. *Hoke, but in-character, I don't know that yet. Quote
Forestboy Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 (edited) (Previous Post, #6) OOC: Sorry CallMePieorDie, I was waiting for your response again, but since the main quests are about to start, I really wanted to get my last post in . IC: Ruitath looked at Atramor. He thanked Ruitath for his offer, but kindly denied. Ruitath said a short farewell, figuring he would see the fellow adventurer around the Hall, and walked up the grand staircases to the saloon. The saloon was less busy then earlier in the day. People were starting to leave as the sun set behind the horizon, though a few travelers sat around at tables and shared grand stories of crusaders, sad memories, and rumors of Eubric. The orc woman who Ruitath met earlier that day was handing two people at the bar two pints of some Dwarven stout. They clicked they're cups together, said a hoorah, and guzzled it right down. Ruitath sat down on a bar stool as he thought about all that happened that day. "How fortunate that I found this Hall." he thought as Scheherazade turned to him grunted, "What would you like?" in a tone that seemed grumpy, but cheery at the same time. He smiled and said, "Let me have what those two are having." She turned around, grabbed a mug and filled it right up as she poured the legendary liquid into the tin cup. The white "milky-like" froth rose clear above the top of the mug and overflowed down the side. She turned back around and slammed the cup right down on the counter and spit out, "Enjoy." Ruitath picked up beverage and took a big gulp. Nothing like the greatest drink in all of Eubric to finish the day. He slowly took small sips as one by one as fellow adventurers left the building. Only a few people were left as he finished his drink, thanked Scheherazade and left Heroica Hall. The full moon shone high in the sky as it was the only thing to brighten up the lonely streets. A few beggars were wrapped up in dingy cloths (an all too familiar sight) as he made his way towards the west side of town. He checked into the The Green Talisman Tavern as he did everyday, said hello to the owner, Rothum, a scruffy man, and made his way upstairs. He walked into his tiny room, got on his straw cot, and laid his belongings on the dark, smelly, old, dilapidating floor and laid to rest. A dog howled in the night as he could feel the great change that he was about to have in his life. Tomorrow, would be a new day. OOC: Can't wait to start! ~FB~ Edited August 19, 2011 by Forestboy Quote
Jedi master Brick Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 Sort busy at some time during the quest so I have to unsign from the quests Quote
Lego Pinocchio Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 "Well that is a sad tale, Killer Manatees, the fat sea cows, I almost don't believe it " "thanks for noticing the armour it is an antique but finly crafted, and Dwarf Steel never loses its strength" "Don't believe me... good lord they're evil, evil I tell you" Quote
Speedboat Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 Grush went to the Quest Board, confused because his name had not been among those that had been named as competitors for a spot in Quest #1. Maybe his sign had not been enough to identify him. Oh well - he scribbled his name there, as well. Quote
dragunov Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 Hiro headed off, where to she wasn't sure, but she would be back by sundown... Quote
UsernameMDM Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 Good evening. I'm Bartholomew Docken, Ranger. Hoke looks up from polishing his trusted long sword. A rough cut man clad in greens stands before him with a pleasant smile... "Fair evening to you good sir," replies Hoke to the ranger's greeting. Quote
Fred Fred Burger Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 Sit Christopher took his breakfast and ate it hurriedly, not wanting to go questing on an empty stomach. He approached the newcomer, sir Hoke, and said "hail sir, it is good to have another noble knight among this group ,( as good sir Sven seems to have left the hall) ." "So sir where do you hail from, and what is your story, if you care to share it." Quote
K-Nut Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 Althior Emorith went back up to the saloon, eagerly awaiting the names of the chosen heroes to go out on their quests. He hoped his name would be one of them. He then went to sit over by his friend, the ranger, Bartholomew Docken. Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 (edited) Cronk back! Cronk sleep well and dream of bashing evil. Oh, Cronk's friends already here. Cronk sit with Cronk's friends and hopes Cronk can go bash evil with Cronk's friends. Edited August 19, 2011 by CorneliusMurdock Quote
Jebediahs Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 En Sabah Nur reenters the Hall and stares warily at his fellow adventurers. He studies them, assessing their strengths, weaknesses and motivations. He finds a spot to himself to prepare spells for the day. Chosen for a quest or not, En Sabah Nur will be ready for anything... Darkdragon Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 Cinna walks back into the Hall, glad to see the arguing and raucous of previous days has quelled. As she catches sight of a few new mages to whom smiles and nods at any that catch her glance. She heads over to the quest board and, seeing nothing new today, makes her way to a comfortable seat by the fire. If she is chosen for Quest #3 she guesses there might not be any comfort or relaxation to enjoy for a while. Quote
The_Customizer Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 "Good morning all!" Erdathcath greets after waking. "Today is the day taht we are chosen for the quests. May we all have luck in getting a quest!" Then Erdathcath went and ordered a cup of tea, and some eggs and ham. Quote
CMP Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 Atramor walks back to the Hall. He chooses a thick armchair to sit in, and also sits by the fire. With any luck, he'd get into a Quest. And he didn't want to miss the list of participants. McCafferey fluttered off his hat, and onto the head of the armchair, which she quickly began picking and pecking at, trying to reach the cotton underneath. Atramor looks around a bit, then turns to a mage, also sitting by the fire. "I assume you're waiting for a Quest too?" Quote
Fives Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 Trotter woke feeling sore. He hopped of the rocking chair and headed to get some food. As he walked he noticed that he hadn't signed for any quests! He ran over to the board and signed up for QUEST #2 , Hoping it wasn't too late. Then he went and sat with Erdathcath and ordered some eggs and bacon and a cup of tea. "Good morning!" he said to the Elf. "How was your night? Mine was fantastic! I dreamt I grew to be 100 feet tall and I crushed all the Orcs that have ever done evil in this world!" Quote

I slept almost as good as when I lived in the trees. Well, today is the day for the quests, perhaps there is a chance we shall both be chosen for one, perhaps even the same one! Quote

Well, after seeing the sign-up sheet I thought I might as well try for a second quest, in case I did not make the first one. After there are quite a few rangers here... Quote
Darkdragon Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 (edited) "I assume you're waiting for a Quest too?" She smiles and nods at the man who just sat down in a nearby armchair. "That I am, good luck to us both. My name is Cinna, what is yours?" She looks over at the stranger's companion tearing a hole in another chair and back at him. "I'm not sure the proprietors will look to kindly on your companion destroying the furnishings. She seems very intelligent though, so maybe if you ask her not to tear at the chairs?" She reaches into her pocket and pulls out a handful of granola. "Perhaps she would prefer this over cotton?", she offers the granola to the man. Edited August 19, 2011 by darkdragon Quote
Peppermint_M Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 Tesni awoke in a bed, she was glad that her friend had brought her here as another night in a chair would have been the end of her sword arm. Refreshed and ready she got up and headed for the hall. Upon reaching it Tesni noticed the increased crowd, "Ah today is the day that the quest chosen are sent out" she said aloud smiling, soon an adventure may await! She entered the hall and ordered bread and cheese with some small ale, a hearty start to the day even if it was far from breakfast time. Sitting against a far wall she waited to find out if her talents were needed on a quest. Quote
CMP Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 "I'm Atramor. And you have a good point," he added, accepting the granola and pouring it into a dip in his hat, which McCafferey immedietely began pecking up in ignorance of the slightly tattered chair. "Although given this place is 250 years old, and still looking great, I'm gonna assume it regenerates or something." He looked around a bit, as if afraid of eavesdroppers, and leaned forward a bit. "Nobody even knows who did, do they? They're just called the Veterans. Personally, I'd like to know who we're working for. But I guess as long as the pay and the fame's good, I don't have any real problems with it." Atramor leaned back again. He could be paranoid like this at times. Quote
JimBee Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 Hybros stepped back into the hall once again. He was feeling glad, for the ones chosen to go on quests would be revealed today. He was anxious to know if he got into any of the quests, and who his companions would be. Sitting at the bar, Hybros ordered a glass of spring water, and sat to await the results. Quote

Cinna leans in closer to Atramor and speaks in the same hushed tone he did. "Personally, I believe sometimes the less you are told about your employer the more likely you will be alive for the next job. Not being told is no reason to be unaware though, I too like to know something of my employer. Of course it always depends on the job, but sometimes it is better if others don't know that you know what you know. You know?" With a wink she leans back in her chair and takes a sip of her wine.
