lorax Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 (edited) Here is a tower I built for Nocturnus guild. (Edit: flags added) It didn't quite work as well as the image in my head. Lego Nocturnus Dark Tower by tikitikitembo, on Flickr You silly sod... you twit... I warned you, but no, it is just a rabbit, a little bunny... Oh and here is something I built at the start of the challenge (posted in the Nocturnus thread, but I thought I would add it here). Xyver Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 I prefer strawberry flavoured myself, other than that it looks great. Quote

Abu Dun Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 An intereting build and quite different from the usual avalonian or mitgardian structure - just like it is to be expected from the eastern engineers. Those trees are beautifully done and while they may obscure the view a bit, they do add a lot to the scenery. The outpost itself has a nice angled shape and, although the entrance may be a tad bit too easy to storm, likely can defend itself against a reasonable force. The openings for the archers are perfectly done as well. What I like most is the beacon at the top, the light of which can be seen from very far away and which shows an ingenious use of this piece Great work and a nice way to show that nocturnian architecture isn't nearly as confined in its limitations as in the more human-centered guilds. Tazmaniac Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Bring forth the "holy hand grenade" And Saint Attila raised the Holy Hand Grenade up on high saying, "Oh Lord, Bless us this Holy Hand Grenade, and with it smash our enemies to tiny bits." And the Lord did grin, and the people did feast upon the lambs, and stoats, and orang-utans, and breakfast cereals, and lima bean- "First, shalt thou take out the holy pin. Then shalt thou count to three. No more, no less. *Three* shall be the number of the counting, and the number of the counting shall be three. *Four* shalt thou not count, and neither count thou two, excepting that thou then goest on to three. Five is RIGHT OUT! Great Work Anita, it's a pleasure to have you amongst the ranks of Nocturnus. Quote
Hersbrucker Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Wow, thats really inspired Thank you for such a great MOC. Quote
Dustin Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 LOL! This is hilarious! Great MOC. I really love the colors you used, as well as the bunny. Quote
legomonk Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 I should be quiet envious of the use of that rare little rabit. Great moc! Quote
Si-MOCs Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 Oh no! Without the flag, how will I ever figure out which guild this is for? I don't know why - maybe it's the white background - but overall moc has a nice ... clean and professional feel to it. I particularly like how you used the chains. and of course the bunny :D Quote
Hiawatha Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 Great job! It is very detailed and I really like the carriage! Quote
Artanis I Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 Nice scene, it's a great build but I wouldn't want to be defending it against an army without a certain bunny at hand. If just to scout for enemy activity, it's a nice hidden base. Interesting how you've combined the black and grey for the rocks - looks good, but I wonder how that works? It's a good outcrop in any case. Yes, strawberry is the best - and even better with milo in it too. PS I still call it Quik... Quote
lorax Posted November 25, 2011 Author Posted November 25, 2011 Thanks everyone. The bunny is my favourite minifig. Oh no! Without the flag, how will I ever figure out which guild this is for? true. Quote
Andonii Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 Now this is a Nocturnus tower. Fantastic work with the flames at the top and the whole look to it. Just wondering though, why is it called Nesquick? Quote

Just wondering though, why is it called Nesquick? Thanks for the kind comments. :) It is called nesquik because of the bunny. Nesquik is a powder used to flavour drinks and they ran a promotion to get the Lego bunny (which is their mascot). I am not very good at naming things so I named it after him Quote
Gabe Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 Haha, pure genius! Love the use of the Ninjago dragon claws around the flame, it always warms my heart to see builders use large elements (so often derided as "useless") effectively. ps. Quik! I haven't had Quik since i was a kid. I might have to hunt some down at the supermarket this arvo. Quote
