Very good design, Doc! I love it, and I think the nose is fine.

Let's just hope fallenangel wont come by to tear it shreds!

I was actually about to compliment the brickbuilt canopy... as well as the S-foil mechanism that Psiaki borrowed from me, who adapted it from the one used by Dave Eaton, who based his off the studio model.

Thanks, everyone. :classic:

I'm actually an Imperial kind of guy, and I think that X-Wing is my favorite LDD MOC, well, ever.

Then let me just say that you're going to love Day 10.

Command Station, this is Day 10. Code clearance Blue. We're starting our approach. Deactivate the security shield.

Midi-scale Lambda-class T-4a shuttle, the security deflector shield will be deactivated when we have confirmation of your code transmission. Stand by... You are clear to proceed.

Thus far, this is my favorite MOC from the advent calendar remake. I debated about the fin and wings, but in the end, there really was no better looking way to build them than SNOT, so I scrapped the original model, made it significantly bigger, and ended up with this. The wings do fold, though LDD won't really let you. (uncooperative Hinge Tool and a couple pieces sticking out by about a quarter of a plate) Seriously, this model looks awesome, if I do say so myself. Go download it. Get LDD if you don't have it.

The Lambda-class T-4a shuttle was a standard light utility craft in common use throughout the Imperial military as a transport for troops and high-ranking individuals. Read more...

I can't even begin to describe how awesome the general construction is (I love that LDD allows us to see that), so I'll just comment quickly on the measurements... the wingspan and dorsal fin on this thing are enormous... but it looks spot on! What reference did you use?

It's a 3D model, not a studio model, but I used this, because there were a ton of pictures.

Remember what I said about my next BL wishlist/parts list/order? Well, it just doubled in size.

 Which reminds me, I didn't have time to tweak the internal structure for strength, so if you're planning to build it physically, you might want to play around with that, first.

Gotta agree with the general consensus here: This is definitely the best one yet! The accuracy and detail is superb! Keep it up!

its very very nice, and i had to download ldd to check it out, but please tell me, can i find the part list on ldd, would rather purchase the bricks for this one using bricklink instead of lego

The X-Wing is sweet but I have to agree the Imperial shuttle is the best so far - lovely

":wub::drool::wub:", "awsome", "spot on", "What reference did you use" - It must be good because I don't think I've ever read comments like this from fallenangel

Day 11 has arrived.

It's Miniland-scale OOM Pilot Droid. Ugh. I hate this model. I'm convinced it simply isn't possible to represent something so skeletal at this scale with legal connections. Even the official Miniland-scale models use illegal connections.

The OOM pilot battle droid was a OOM-series battle droid in the Trade Federation Droid Army and, later, the Separatist Droid Army for the purpose of piloting vehicles of various kinds.. Read more...

The battle droid isn't that bad, it's just a rather simple creation in contrast to the awesome X-wing and Lambda class shuttle. Have you though about using technic parts for the droid? That might give it a more skeletal look and being less bulky.

Admittedly, I did not, but I was trying to capture the Miniland style of bulky, blocky, simplified shapes.

Hm, I agree, the arms and the neck of the B1 are too short. Also, I think you might have gone overboard with the SNOT techniques and the blockiness. It looks like he swallowed a brick. :sceptic: Otherwise not bad though; it's a good start, it just needs to be refined.

Have been watching this tread and I like it really. The figures are OK, but the ships - they are just amazing. Specially the X-Wing and the Lambda Shuttle. These two will certainly be built IRL and placed together with the UCS's...

Sorry for the wait. Was away all day today and yesterday and didn't have much time to build or upload.

Anyways, Day 12:

It's Midi-scale T-47 Snowspeeder! I'm not completely happy with the nose, but other than that, I think it turned out pretty well. Having built the minifig-scale version last year made it hard to ignore some details, notably the absence of braking flaps, but I think I got the major shapes compacted into this pretty well.

The Incom T-47 airspeeder was an airspeeder that became famous during the Galactic Civil War for its military use by the Alliance to Restore the Republic. Read more...
