Siegfried Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 Those four people now have 48 hours to choose three people to receive clues. That's right. It's different. Those four people should discuss publicly who will be receiving clues, and reach a decision on three people within the next 48 hours. I even said it twice! Ready? Go! Maybe we could get greedy and keep them ourselves!
Bob Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 So, is there anything we need to discuss? Who has the clues from the previous days?
Fugazi Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 Rufus (Samantha Cole) Fugazi (Diana Mantino) Tamamono (Chris Owen) Siegfried (Siegourney Harcourt) Those four people now have 48 hours to choose three people to receive clues. What will it be then? I don't see how debating this will help us to choose wisely. We don't want the killer to be given clues, but how can we avoid it at all if we don't hear the previous clues? Perhaps Samantha and Siegfried can use the information they've been given to select the next 3 people. Siegfried Siegourney
Shadows Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 I'd love a clue if one is available. I'm just saying, people are always telling me to get a clue, here's my chance!
WhiteFang Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 I missed today's challenge. So, with all of the clues given so far, have we gotten any headings?
Mrlegoninja Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 Wow, you guys are quick. I haven't even figured out the puzzle yet. But I guess it doesn't matter anymore. But what are we doing? I don't think I've heard one clue. I don't know if people are hiding them or not, but we need them. I'd take a clue, although I really would't deserve it...
Zepher Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 It is becoming quite an in crowd who gives and receives clues. Perhaps we can spread the wealth.
Tamamono Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 Alrighty, decision making time! Like Sylvia said, it is a bit of an 'in-crowd' as to who gives and receives clues, so I'd like to 'spread the wealth' as she says. If, say, Fred, is the demon (not saying you are, Fred, just acknowledging the possibility), then we're going to feel like a bunch of idiots for giving him so many clues. Although we don't want to spread the clues too thin... My idea is that everyone shares the clue they receive. I'd really like it if Samantha, Siegourney, and Fred would share their clues with us, and if they are willing to, then we should pick people who are willing to share what they learn in public to receive the clues in the first place. Another thing to keep in mind is that the demon will want to distort the clue he/she receives to prevent being found out. For this reason we should avoid giving clues to the same people very many times in a row. If everyone here receives one or two clues, and then the demon lies about his/her clue(s), then it will be very easy for everyone else's clues to prove him wrong. Of course, now that I've said this, the demon will likely try to tell the truth about their clue, but that benefits us as well, so there's nothing really wrong with that. Here are a few people who have not yet received clues but are still fairly active and in the discussion: Chris (that's me! I'd love a clue, but I'm fine with not getting one) Diana Tony And a few less-active people who are still definitely around: Penny Sheldon Sylvia Richard Ingrid Any thoughts on these people? I think Diana at least should get a clue. She's been extra helpful, and hasn't gotten one yet.
Siegfried Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 My idea is that everyone shares the clue they receive. I'd really like it if Samantha, Siegourney, and Fred would share their clues with us, and if they are willing to, then we should pick people who are willing to share what they learn in public to receive the clues in the first place. Aren't you a bossy one? Who said I haven't shared my clues? You could just be the only one that I haven't told 'cos you're so bossy. ..or it could be that my clue tells me something that I can't reveal. But as I said, I'm thinking about it. But don't get too excited; my clue is pretty bloody vague... as everyone but you already knows. Anyway, sad to say there's one person here that I trust. Me. ...although I hope a certain someone isn't carrying anything unpleasant.. ...so I'm prepared to take my chances and have draw straws or similar and increase my chances of getting more clues. ...and why not? I did the hard yards. It's not like I didn't work hard to get this opportunity. A piece of my soul, my very soul, went into winning this, so I'm not inclined to give it up so easily.
CorneliusMurdock Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 There may or may not have been some clue trading going on... For now, I'll share my first one. I found a piece of Tan fabric in the first puddle of blood.
Hinckley Posted January 25, 2012 Author Posted January 25, 2012 There are roughly 21 hours left in this chapter. If you are having trouble reaching a consensus, I suggest each of the four of you vote for the three people you'd like to get clues. I can take the top vote-getters from that. Vote this way: I'd like to nominate: 1. Character (player) 2. Character (player) 3. Character (player)
Fugazi Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 There are roughly 21 hours left in this chapter. If you are having trouble reaching a consensus, I suggest each of the four of you vote for the three people you'd like to get clues. I can take the top vote-getters from that. Okay, I'd like to nominate a few people who haven't received clues so far. 1. Sheldon Wills (Shadows) 2. Tony Peck (Bob) 3. Chris Owen (Tamamono) Now, thank you Fred for sharing one of your clues. Tan fabric? It would help if we knew what the blood puddles represent, because that piece of tan fabric could either belong to one of our group, someone previously deceased or even one of the original explorers. Sylvia, Richard, Diesel and Fred all have tan clothes, and a few of us have dark tan trousers, though I think dark tan would have been specifically named as such. Or not. And in the Psychic Imprints Monica Maltese also had a tan shirt, if it means anything.
Tamamono Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 There may or may not have been some clue trading going on... For now, I'll share my first one. I found a piece of Tan fabric in the first puddle of blood. Tan fabric, huh? I didn't smell any fabric when I was sniffing that puddle. Well, if that is a piece of the demon's clothes, then the demon would have to be either: Sylvia Richard Diesel Fred Samantha also has a white-ish shirt that might be classified as tan, if it means anything. And Diana is right that several people do have dark tan pants, but I think she's right that it would have been specifically mentioned. Siegourney, Samantha, was anything said in your clues about dark tan at all? As for who should receive today's clues: 1. Penny Maltese (Peppermint M) 2. Chris Owen (Tamamono) 3. Diana Mantino (Fugazi)
Siegfried Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 Oh, sure! Chris tears a couple more teeth out of the shark's jaw an tosses them to Siegourney. Does anyone else want some more? Thanks! Siegourney, Samantha, was anything said in your clues about dark tan at all? Well since you're being nice I'll give a half answer. No it's not tan... but it is colour related. ...on the subject of colours, anyone get a clue about brown? It could be a lead on my old clothes... How about red?
Zepher Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 I don't know if sharing clues is the best idea, but leaving everyone in the dark is not a good idea either. The gods above have said that if the demon gets hold of the clues... it may not be good. But perhaps that is only if they receive them personally. Perhaps we should go 50/50 and share half our clues, so that no one is lost, but the demon doesn't have the same exact edge as us all. Just an idea.
Shadows Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 Well since you're being nice I'll give a half answer. No it's not tan... but it is colour related. ...on the subject of colours, anyone get a clue about brown? It could be a lead on my old clothes... I would assume that clues relate to our current forms and not those distant memories, not that you didn't look lovely back then.
CorneliusMurdock Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 I'd have to agree that the clues probably refer to us now, after we... somehow found a spare set of clothing to change into.
Siegfried Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 I'd have to agree that the clues probably refer to us now, after we... somehow found a spare set of clothing to change into. ...and lost the originals. My Vote! 1. Siegfried (Siegourney Harcourt) 2. Diana Mantino (Fugazi) 3. Dragonator (Diesel Nolan)
Rufus Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 My vote: Diana Mantino (Fugazi) Chris Owen (Tamamono) Diesel Nolan (Dragonator) Samantha, was anything said in your clues about dark tan at all? I'm still not sure what to make of my clue ... but it was nothing to do with colours, fabric, or puddles of blood.
Dragonator Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 Why won't this god damn statue MOVE!? Stupid temple... stupid father-in-law... stupid fish... I'm concerned that we haven't made any headway with the knobs or the blood. But I'm not sure how to rectify this, does anyone have any ideas? do any of the clues perhaps help to reveal something about these oddities?

Siegfried Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 Welcome to the gaming forum, use the correct format please. If everyone used less bold the world would need 10% less power stations. True fact.
Hinckley Posted January 26, 2012 Author Posted January 26, 2012 If everyone used less bold the world would need 10% less power stations. True fact. *24% of statistics are made up.*
Siegfried Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 *24% of statistics are made up.* 85% of people know that, but the other 30% aren't good at maths.
