JoeMI6 Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 I didn't get anything Lego - wise. I think my money will be put towards some SW stuff though. I got Rayman on the Wii, along with some DVDs (pulp fiction, shaun of the dead). I also got some cool books, and the awesome Pick of Destiny album. Quote
Grrr Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 yes, i aggree.however, it may depend where you live.eg in New Zealand the average pay is $15,000nzd a year.and in usa, the average pay is still $15,000 but in us dollars.and since lego is cheaper in the states.they will probably get more lego for christmas.see what i'm getting at here *y* You might want to take a bit of care with your statistics. The average pay in NZ is closer to NZ$40k (www.stats.govt.nz). The average net surplus/deficit after costa of living are deducted are acutally better in NZ than in the states (on average, there are some very rich and very poor people living there). On average Lego prices in NZ are around 20% higher then in the US (based off price comparisons on Lego.com, xe.com for currency conversions). Quote

oo7 Posted December 27, 2006 Posted December 27, 2006 I bought one of those last summer. Yeah take care of that thing as J1A3L5 warns oo7, be careful with the ice cube tray...I've heard that they're easy to puncture if you are rough getting the ice cubes out. Mine's fine so far, though! Although mine seems like it has a good level of durability too. *y* Quote

Zarkan Posted December 27, 2006 Author Posted December 27, 2006 Man, you all get way too much. We get presents about 3 weeks earlier and I didn't get anywhere near as much as some people here. And it's not like my parents are poor or anything Actually, my family isn't that rich. I got a lot of things because some of the gifts I listed (Bionicle canister sets, Bionicle books) were bought by my parrents but paid for with money from relatives. Otherwise, I wouldn't have gotten as much. ;-) Quote
Starwars4J Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 I guess I shouldn't list it then <_< -Nikon D80 Camera (if anyone knows anything about these, advice would be appreciated) + 2 lenses and carrying case -10 of each battle pack (most of which I'm returning. nobody needs 10 droid packs, and 10 clone packs on top of the 4 I got was just excessive) -Fountain pen -Crocadile wallet -Glass Sudoku set -Lord of the Rings DVD set Quote
Hobbes Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 Well, what I bought for myself I listed here. What I got from my relatives: * a 8284 Technic Tractor (the European version with the "right" model box art) from my sister-in-law and husband * a box full of LEGO from my brother (old basic bricks and sets from the late 70s and 80s) and my wife outdid herself with * a 642 Tow Truck and Car * a 688 Tank Truck * a 6375 Exxon Gas Station * and the best of all: a 1552 Maersk Truck (it's missing the box and the stickers on the containers, otherwise it's complete and in very good condition) :'-) Oh, yeah, there were other things, too: * sports socks * a "cutting ruler" (needed to cut my stickers and *cough*DVD covers*cough*) * Greenberry's coffee * an american Christmas Stocking (with a Baltimore Orioles logo, so not quite the "classic") * a jar of Jif peanut butter (yeah, sometimes I like it and we don't have it here) :-) Quote
Kikuichimonji Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 -10 of each battle pack (most of which I'm returning. nobody needs 10 droid packs, and 10 clone packs on top of the 4 I got was just excessive) You should keep them MISB and sell them in a couple years. SW sets really get more expensive after a while... Quote
Starwars4J Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 You should keep them MISB and sell them in a couple years. SW sets really get more expensive after a while... Sell them where, though? I don't have a BL store, and this packs were such a hit, so many people bought so many, I doubt these will be worth much...unless there's something to make you think otherwise? Quote

Once they're not available anymore people will pay you a fortune for them or for all of them together as a "super army pack". Quote
