My build is based mostly on the book description (Swimming pool size bath, diving board, 100 taps all around, white marble, chandelier...). And also a fair heap of "artistic interpretation"

I had a hiccup with the mermaid stained glass, I had edited a picture together and planned on printing it as a decal and have it against trans blue bricks to get the right effect but my printer has died and I figured I have spent enough money on this any how. So it is just on regular paper and inserted between the window and (now invisible) blue bricks. A pity.

The toilet, old fashioned and castle looking? I hope so, I wanted to retain the glitzy rich feeling of the bathroom without compromising on the "this is still an old, old castle" feel.

The Prefects can have every luxury, spare soap, oils and fluffy white towels are always supplied.

A large chandelier provides the light along with the large stained glass windows.

A rather excessively large bath is the main focus of the room, surrounded by 100 (about 60 in reality) taps that all have different coloured water and bubbles. This guy has obviously chosen the blue ones down the end.

One end of the bath has a small diving board (as book describes). I hope no one uses it as they would be sure to snap their necks.

Some of the Prefects hide in this luxurious bathroom to perform some of their more embarrassing spells. Like Ron here, trying to cast a spell for an ice-cream bath.

If anyone is interested there are many more pictures, close up etc here on my Flickr.

This is great...it really captures the luxurious feel of the elite!! I love the flow of the dark blue into the main pool of the water, and the back scratch pose with the brush.

Great build! This is my favorite of the CB so far. I love all the details, I think you captured them all very well. Its too bad about the window, it sounds cool! Looks like Ramilda Vane has given Ron some more 'love' candy.

Lovely build Izzy. I saw this on flickr and figured you must have posted it on EB as well. Nice colourscheme and I like all the trans-bricks used for the windows. I really like all the little details you put it, it shows you have great eye for detail.

No idea what you're talking about, I just like it ok?

Thanks! I was tempted at first to just dump a whole heap of 1x1 rounds into the bath for a random bubbly look, but I am glad that OCD took over because I really enjoyed the flow of the water too. :sweet:

Your fave? I am very flattered. Thanks!

Cool MOC. Good details in general. You've captured the room quite well I think.

Thanks for your comments. :sweet:

Fantastic design 'Izzy', the toilet is great.....a clean toilet brush ?

Of course Ron is up to his usual tricks again.

Yes indeed, a toilet brush just had to be included, you can't leave EVERYTHING to the house elves now can you?

Very nice. The color choice and all the little details are perfect!

Thank you kindly!

Thanks so much Rick! :cry_happy: I did put a lot of attention into this and spent waaaaay to much on PAB. Those 2x2 tiles add up.

Great MOC! Everything here is just great!

Thanks!

Wow, Izzy! That is a wonderful build! :sweet:

It has a very large and pompous look to it but at the same time filled with small, interesting details. I really like the bath it self, very natural looking, and I want to point out the flowers as well, great use of the ice cream piece there.

All I miss is Moaning Myrtle trying to get a sneak peak at the bathing guy.

WOW, this MOC looks very (very) nice!

I like all that marble and large spaces.

The mermaid in the background is perfectly in theme, and there are so many elegant details!

I love this great work!

I love love love this! It's just perfect for the scene in Lego. Better than the Goblet of Fire film version, so much more cheerful and fun. The mermaid picture is wonderful, and if you ever get the inclination again to make it as a decal, I think it would be incredible. There are some amazing builds coming out of the Hogwarts project! Well done!

Thanks ThorBear!

I know right! I have never wanted a trans-clear minifig more than when building this.

Really great work here! Really captures the look of it in the books! Keep up the excellent work!

Thanks, there were so many ways I could have interpreted the books description and I tried a few other ways first, but this one felt the most comfortable.

Nice work, really nice work done here

Thank you Evanflew!

REALLY GOOD!!!!!!!!! One of the top entries so far. It looks really good and I personally think the picture works rather well! The small details seem to make it extra-special

Thanks, I'm glad you like it.

That is a glorious looking bathroom, good job

Thanks, it was a lot of fun to build.

Thank you so much, I think I will keep it together in case I do get a chance to print the decal. The effect would be awesome.

The CMF Surgeon's cap used as a shower cap was a nice touch. I think the MOC looks great.

Thanks, I saw that first used here by Svelte.

How did I not spot this sooner??? *oh2*

Izzy, this is beautiful, truly beautiful. I love the fact that it's so open so that we can see all of the fantastic details, but that you've engineered it so that there is a really nicely built chandelier. I really like that chandelier. :cry_happy:

You've kept the "old castle" sense but added the Hogwarts fantasy/ luxury that is described in the books, and I agree with others that the flow of water and water itself in the giant bath works brilliantly. The tiling and plated steps down to the luxuriously large bath only add to the grandeur. Great build, Iz.

Thanks Pandy! You make me blush! I loved the chandelier too, I thought it was pretty cool to use the Belville Christmas-Tree star/snowflake piece in the middle.

Very creative and original! Excellent job  I really like the color scheme

Thanks!

I want to take a bath in this perfect bathroom

There is plenty of room, dive on in.

Stunning build, not the easiest project to undertake and you did it proud!

any bathroom with a mermaid pic hanging up is a winner as far as I'm concerned!
