Pingles Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Just bought the X-Wing but I'm waiting until March to buy the Tie Fighter so I can get the poster. I can't believe I wrote that. I'm 46 years old. Excited about a Star Wars Lego poster. Quote
glenpinpat Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Just bought 3 mandalorian packs to bring my figure count to 16. I also bought small car set,2 containers of pick a brick. All my money for lego will be saved now for LotR stuff. Quote
Sir_Basil_Ashton Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 I really want the V-19 to be reissued...I would love to get my hands on that ship..but anyone who sells it sells it at an extortionate price. There's a local hobby shop that still has a couple of these for sale at MSRP. Quote
Ebak Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 There's a local hobby shop that still has a couple of these for sale at MSRP. The problem is getting there...its probably very out of the way for me :P ^ Norwich, England Quote

I paid about $60.00 shipped, which I don't consider too much considering the prices of the new ship sets. I suggest just keeping an eye out for a good deal! Quote
2comicboys Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 The last purchase I made was for the 2012 January Commando Droid Battle Pack, Endor Battle Pack, Geonosian Cannon, and one more that I forgot. ;) Quote
sharky Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 Picked up the newest X-wing as part of my daughter's birthday gift. It'll be that and the Friends vet clinic. These are the 2 things she said she wanted. Quote

Praiter Yed Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 Picked up 2 Droid Escapes for only £8.50 each plus the Death Star Planet Set & Tatooine Planet Set for £6.30 each - all from my local Asda (sorry Mr. Man ). Quote
Brickadeer Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 Picked up 2 Droid Escapes for only £8.50 each plus the Death Star Planet Set & Tatooine Planet Set for £6.30 each - all from my local Asda (sorry Mr. Man ). That's an insane discount, and you are lucky to have gotten them for such a low price Not sure if I should write this... ...possibly not... ...but I can't help... Basically, what I wrote is a friedly formulation for: "NO! I DON'T ENVY YOU! REALLY! IT'S MORE LIKE I WISHED I COULD HIT YOU IN THE FACE!" Quote
Praiter Yed Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 That's an insane discount, and you are lucky to have gotten them for such a low price Yep, it's a crazy offer, they had the Geonosian Cannon for the same price which was tempting, but in the end the lure of more Sandtroopers made me get two Droid Escapes. Thought I'd have to wait 'til next year for an offer anywhere near this price (they usually end up reduced to £12.50). "NO! I DON'T ENVY YOU! REALLY! IT'S MORE LIKE I WISHED I COULD HIT YOU IN THE FACE!" Quote
Brickadeer Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 I paid roughly 17 British Pounds for four Sandtroopers on Bricklink (shipping included). I still think that it is a fair price, but learning about prices in other countries, mainly the U.S. and GB, often makes me breathless. Quote
GeluNumber1 Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 I found an old set at a thrift store nearby--9748-1, Droid Developer Kit. It's used, and was missing a(miniscule)piece, but is otherwise in great shape; the motor still works like new. And all for $16.42 USD! Off-topic question: my D.D.K. model runs backwards. It's used on the R2-D2 model; does anyone know what the problem is> Quote
rakky Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 I just got a jabba's message and jabba's prize sets on ebay, pricey though 25 pounds for both including postage. (without r2 and c3po) Now I just need a jabbas palace, or maybe i should just wait until the summer and buy the gonk and evil robot from the earlier one now. Quote

It's used on the R2-D2 model; does anyone know what the problem is> Oddly enough it's not actually a 'problem', that is actually how the model was designed to work. I believe it's because R2 can go in a circle when he's driving backwards whereas when he drives forwards he can only go straight; if you change the 12 tooth gear in the front leg to the other side of the axle you can make him run straight by default, it's a simple enough mod. I always found that to be a pretty strange design eccentricity, honestly. Glad to hear you got such a good deal on it, I have a lot of happy memories with my old DDK. Quote
Final Exit Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 As a treat for myself after resigning from my job I bought the new TIE fighter and the new Y-Wing, to go with the new X-Wing I got the other week :) Quote
rakky Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 sounds awesome, i also treated to lego after I was resigned last month, should keep you busy for a while. Quote
Handoyo Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 Bought the Death Star for S$600 (US$500) at a local store. I know it can be cheaper from some websites but if you take account of the shipping to this part of the world, the waiting, the possible tax by the custom; it's priced OK. Was on sale from its original price of S$800. Quote
rakky Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 Enjoy making that deathstar dude, i loved making mine, I wish i had more to make now that its finished. Quote

Just been different asda and they had droid escape and geonosian canon for £8.50, i took x3 each at that price, they had loads more out back apparantly and very tempted to get a case of each. Quote
rakky Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 Is this asda living or asda supermarket? I went to my asda supermarket and they didn't have any, I was so looking forward to it. Quote
