Nonpoint Fan Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 Does anyone find it strange that in 9 years of the Star Wars liscence we have only had one version of Padme available in only 2 identical sets being the podracer ones? I mean we have had a million Luke, Leia, Han, Obi-Wan, Anakin, C-3PO, R2-D2, Chewbacca, Jar-Jar and Qui-Gon figures, yet hardly any of Padme. Now granted Padme in The Phantom Menace wasn't anywhere near as popular as Princess Leia, and that with each new prequel her popularity decreased, but she still has a decent sized fanbase. Yes even if 90% of them are young girls and horny men with a fetish all things Natalie Portman. But she was still a lead character and the fact that Lego has never been shy when it comes to their movie liscences with Leia, Mary-Jane, Catwoman, Hermione etc but haven't released another Padme since 1999 is pretty sad. Who else thinks Lego should get more Padme Amidala figures (but still keep those Leia's commin' - you can never have too many of her!) Quote

We need to see Padmes Episode Three ship, or Episode 1. I don't like the EPisode 2 one to much because it looks odd. Quote

I loved their shields and torsos *wub* And yes, let's bring that Padme from Ep 3 in the tight leather dress :-P Or the tight white outfit that got ripped off. Not too kid-friendly. I can't get why they made a Biki-leia either (not like I'm complaining). Anyway, I just don't think she has a big enough fanbase to get as many as Luke, Vader, or the droids. captaintau Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 A million of Leia? I think not. We've had this discussion before about the lack of female minifigs. I don't know why it is. I agree that there should be several more Ms Naberries. OK she did sod all in ep3, but she was really prominent in the first two films. At the very least we should have a version in full Queen Amidala attire so as there's a contrast. Having a "Naberrie" version and an "Amidala" version opens up more playability too. Quote
