legolijntje Posted August 23, 2012 Author Posted August 23, 2012 (edited) A little break from the Creator polybags. I found this idea book between my other instructions, and than I saw the Excavator; years ago, it was always a dream of me to build that thing one day. And now; I finally did... on a PC Oh, and all the animations work perfect in sr3d Builder 8888 - Ideas Book [MODEL F] - Technic (I'm maybe going to render this set) ERRORS: One belt is missing Download here Edited August 24, 2012 by legolijntje Quote

Palathadric Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 Is it okay to post a lot of files in one post, or is it better to try to separate the files into different posts for indexing reasons? I am almost done with all the Castle Classics. With the new LDraw release, I am looking through all the old files that I did a while back, but couldn't post and trying to update them. It's tedious, but I'm getting there. Quote
legolijntje Posted August 25, 2012 Author Posted August 25, 2012 (edited) Well, it's smarter to don't post too many sets in 1 post, because I can only link to post, and not to a piece in a post. So, when someone clicks a link and gets redirected to a post with 50 sets, he still has to search for the set. So, I think around 10 sets a post is good There is actually a disadvantage to split it up in multile posts; when you post a post, and directly after the last one (I think the limt is about 15/30 minutes or so) you post another post, the forum software makes one post of them. So, after each post, you have to wait some time to post the next one. Hmm, I think my explanation is a bit messy. Edited August 25, 2012 by legolijntje Quote

I still have to check to make sure I got all of the sets in the separate themes and that I didn't accidentally leave any, especially the minifig building packs out. Quote
C3POwen Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 (edited) 8200 Radiator Springs Lightning McQueen [Cars, 2011] MPD file Errors: - Missing printed parts 8201 Radiator Springs Classic Mater [Cars, 2011] MPD file Errors: - Missing printed parts I've started to play around with lighting and sky spheres in POV-Ray, to try and get more interesting reflections on the models, as they can often look quite flat, hence the blue hue to the floor. It also improves the look of metallic parts that would usually have strong reflections. It doesn't show up too well with these models, although I ran a test using a chrome version of Lightning McQueen which showed off the (exaggerated) effect quite well. Thats annoying because im used to the MLCAD-Route and all other parts of my project are in a mlcad-file, too.. I dont know what causes that :-(. And i verified it qiht another file that it is a file-specific-problem. HEre the erroring file: https://www.dropbox.com/s/f3pvfy33tic7dxr/10212-WU.ldr Edited September 2, 2012 by masterX244 Quote
