CMP Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 (edited) Atramor looked up at William as he re-entered the hall, nodding to the ranger. There's one familiar face. He sat down at the table McCafferey was perched upon, and nodded to the man. "Hey, William. How ya' doin'? Haven't seen ya' since that mess in Dastan." Edited November 25, 2012 by CallMePie Quote
Professor Flitwick Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 Sitting at their now regular table in the Scheherazade's Saloon, Thothwick was engrossed in 'History of the Dastan Empire', one of the books he borrowed from the Dragonlord's library. Hoptet was sitting across from him, becoming frustrated with his inability to completely comprehend all of the Humanish in the 'Lord of the Wings', slammed the book shut, instead opting to Hero-watch over the saloon's banister. "There is Hero fallen down by fire." Thothwick, ambivalent to Hoptet's commentary, remained lost in the annals of Dastan's past, muttering only a 'Mhmm'. "Human lady in Green has walked in." Still as engrossed as ever, Thothwick again murmured 'Mhmm'. "The Witch is back." "What?" Casting his book aside, Thothwick leant over the banister, his gaze tracking Hoptet's pointed think. "Drat. I'd thought I'd have a bit more time..." Annoyed at himself for leaving it so long, Thothwick begrudgingly returned to his reading, leaving Hoptet leaning over the banister. Quote
Zepher Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 (edited) Boomingham slinks into the hall. Sevrus is no where to be seen... having been dropped off at an inn Boomingham occasionally stays at. "No quests. Humph." Boomingham makes his way to a table to sits down heavily on a chair. He coughs. The sea winds seem to have given him a cold. He wraps his cloak around him. No one in the hall are his friends. "Where have they all gone," he wonders allowed. "Nyx has yet to return... Mr. Marvelo is long gone." He glances over at Thothwick, whom he met once, Hoke, asleep at the fire, another acquaintance with only a short conversation under their belt. Benji, the quiet Ranger that he got his Frozen Sabre with is off asleep in another corner. The witch reminds him of Nur... friendly, perhaps, but hard to read. He glances over at the bar orc... another person he has friction with, and raises a finger indicating he wants a drink. -------- Another guardsman sneaks into the hall and hangs yet another wanted poster before making his way out. CMP Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 Atramor could swear he saw someone at the balcony of the saloon, but when he looked again, the figure had disappeared. With a shrug, he glanced sideways, as Boomingham sidled into the hall. The witch pulled the Marksman's Monocle off, and handed it back to the Paladin. "Here, mate. Didn't manage to get much use out of it, but I appreciate you lendin' it to me anyway." Quote
UsernameMDM Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Hoke roused from his sleep with a full body stretch. He leaned forward in his chair and looked around the Hall. He caught sight of Lord Boomingham chatting with an eccentric but not unfriendly looking fellow. He made his way over to the pair. "Greetings to you Lord Boomingham and friend. I am Hoke Ablesword." CMP Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 (edited) Atramor looked up the Ablesword fellow as he approached him and Boomingham. "Atramor Gibbin. Haven't seen you around the hall, but you look experienced enough." Edited November 26, 2012 by CallMePie Quote

Waterbrick Down Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Skrall walks back into the hall, after a quick glance at the quest board he makes his way up the stair. Ordering a tankard of ale, he has a seat at the table. "Mr. Ablesword," he nods "good to see ya again." Addressing Atramor and Boomingham, "Well that went just lovely didn't it?" Quote
Zepher Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Boomingham nods at Skrall civilly enough. "I've put Servus in a inn. I don't know what to do with him. And I barely got to ask after Pseudo at all. Wonder how the guards got us. Probably the Town Guard Infiltrators. They did us very few favors." Quote
CMP Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Atramor shrugs and nods at Skrall as he takes a seat as well. "I've had messier escapes. 'Least we didn't have half the city tryin' to hunt us down. It wouldn't surprise me, Boomin'ham. Best thing they ever did was point us in the direction of killer statues we had to smash..." Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 "That's the Town Watch fer ya, always sendin' in heroes when they don't want to get their own hands dirty." Quote
CMP Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Atramor cackled dryly. "You have no idea. You should've been there in my first Quest for them...sometimes I just gotta wonder if they're actually tryin' to help Eubric at all." Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 "Yer tellin' me, my first quest had me scramblin' in the sewers chasin' after one of the Wolfgang goons fer them. They had to have been blind fer that blighter's disguise to fool them, even if they had seen him, my guess is their noses were probably too sensitive to give him chase." Quote
Zepher Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 "The Captain Patricia seemed to be an alright lady. Its the others I didn't trust. She seems to be the head of a den of thieves. Its hard when you've got subordinates who aren't worth a damn and are looking to stab your goal in the back... though I suppose that it is a leader's duty to whip them into shape." Boomingham whacks Atramor on the back. "I've had my fair share of unruly subordinates." Quote
CMP Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Atramor coughs when Boomingham slaps him, splattering the table in rum. "...Aye...right..." Quote
Sandy Posted November 26, 2012 Author Posted November 26, 2012 Boomingham pockets the Monocle. "I've got to track down Ellaria and steal my scroll back from her," he says to himself. "How goes it, chappo? Haven't seen you around as of late. Have you been on your own travelings? See any sights worth sharing?" Ellaria raises her eyes from her goblet as Boomingham's shadow casts over her. "Oh, it's you... Sorry I left the ship with such hurry, I had... things I needed to do." Words didn't seem to want to come out of her mouth. Maybe it was the mulled wine... "I guess... I owe you an apology, Lawrence. I misjudged you based on first impressions. Who am I to judge anyone, a mother of a bastard child that I couldn't even keep safe..." Boomingham shifts uneasily. Then Ellaria remembers. Her face goes as red as the wine in her goblet. "Oh! It's the scroll you want back! I apologize..." She doesn't dare to look the paladin in the eyes anymore as she digs the Scroll of Recklessness out of her bag and hands it to him. She just wishes the paladin would go away and leave her to her shame. Quote
Zepher Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Boomingham sits down at the table. He glances over at Skrall, Hoke and Atramor, still in conversation. War buddies. He would return to them soon enough. "Ellaria, did I ever tell you about the time I had a son? And a wife and a family? I went to war to protect them from the Orcs invading the land. You folks seem to have forgotten the war... but I can tell you, it was bad. People were dying everywhere. Families were dying everywhere. I needed to protect mine." He sighs. "Anyway, some young chap froze me in time when I tried to track him down for deserting. Not an important story, I have no doubt you've heard it time and again. Point is, when I got out, I looked up my family. My wife married again and forgot about me. My son got killed in a fight when he was still young. My kingdom fell into ruin, my people were gone. No one knows why." Boomingham spits. "I don't know why I'm telling you this. It isn't very inspiration. But listen. When it comes down to it, your son is out there. And you've got the ability to find him. Someone took him. You go take him back. The mistake that I made when I was trying to protect my family is that I wanted to do it for me. I wanted to have the glory of protecting my family. That was wrong. I should have wanted to protect them because I loved them, not because I loved the idea that they'd admire me. You're doing that, Ellaria. I know you'd give your life for your son, and you'd be okay with him not knowing your name. We're all different sorts of people..." Boomingham exhales. The chair creaks dangerously under him. "When you get a lead, come find me. You can't find your son on your own. I will help you. I will die for him." Boomingham coughs a few times. "Ah, well, that's all I got for you, dear. Probably boring as all Hel. Cheer up, and I'll see you around. And remember you've got friends." Boomingham rises and waddles off. A voice whines in his ear. "Her child is being punished for being impure. He is a bastard. Commit to a better cause, Lawrence." "Screw off, Barty. I have committed to a better cause. The cause of Lawrence Boomingham, King of the Dead lands. My new God believes in everyone getting what they deserve, and so do I. Ellaria deserves her child, and she deserves my help. You can come along for the ride, or not." There is a burst of light. Barty floats in front of Boomingham. "I'm back to stay. I'll see how you do, Lawrence." Boomingham shrugs. "I liked it better when I thought you were dead." Barty zips around. Quote

PsyKater Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 (edited) Amma returns back in the Hall and gives the door a push. Unfortunately the door does not close and reopens slowly. Amma does not notice the open door and the cold breeze coming into the hall ( ) as she were rambling about the Marketplace for a long time. Now she'd need to warm up. That's why she goes towards the fireplace but not without ordering in a warm tea. This time without any special ingredients. On her way to the fireplace she stumbles over Benji's sleeping body runs into Benji who had just raised and was walking towards the bar. Some tea falls to the ground but she manages to keep the biggest part in her cup. "What the...!" she grumbles. "Why is everyone lying running around here headless. Don't they have better places to lie eyes?" Hoping that the elf did not wake up and start another conversation with her, she pushes off to the fireplace. Aaah, why did you just wake up while I was posting?! Stupid elf. Maybe Amma did not notice that Benji was awake already and he goes to them after that?!
