Calabar Posted August 3, 2013 Author Posted August 3, 2013 Hi, I'm new here and I want to upload a Star Wars set #75025 that isn't on this site, but I don't see how can I do that, so if anybody can help me I'll be great. Hi and welcome. In order to add a new set to this topic, you have to: - Read carefully the rules in the first page (you can look at other regular posts for help) - Use a file hosting service where to upload images and lxf files. I suggest you to use brickshelf, that allow direct link. - Create a new post following the rules in order to add the set. I'll add your work to the index, if your entry will be regular. Quote

Calabar Posted August 3, 2013 Author Posted August 3, 2013 @lotrmorgot Your entry is highly irregular. Did you carefully read the rules of the topic as previously suggested? Note that without the minifigures the set is considered and will be tagged as incomplete. Quote
Calabar Posted August 3, 2013 Author Posted August 3, 2013 Added figures and smaler picture. Good start, but rules are precise. Please take the time to carefully read that. Layout is much better (but I'd prefer the standard "inline" approach). I can adjust it this time, if you want (do I?), so you can take it as reference. I can't adjust the image anyway, so you should take a screenshot respecting the rules. Images have to be simple screenshots, no background. Maximum image size is 512 pixel for the longer side, if the set is a big set (for this set I suggest a 400x size, but with a clearer point of view) The image have to be cropped (no blank stripes around the subject) Hope this helps. Ah, last important thing: the lxf file don't contains the minifigures. You forgot to update it. Quote
Classicsmiley Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 Also, it looks like many of the colors are incorrect. Quote
lotrmorgot Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 Well, I agree that it's brighter, but I think that it's better. I will replace foto soon. Quote
Superkalle Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 Set Number: 75025 Set Name: Jedi Defender-Class Cruiser Errors: 1) two parts BEAM FRAME 5x7 can't link. That is an odd one. The frame 64179 has a different profile/height then a normal Technic Beam, and since the designer used the 64179 that's why it can't connect. As far as I can tell, that's an illegal design. Attached: a picture of the height difference PS: @lotrmorgot, The models seems to be OK, but you need to fix the colors so they map against the official colors. Capture.zip Quote
Calabar Posted August 3, 2013 Author Posted August 3, 2013 Well, I agree that it's brighter, but I think that it's better. I will replace foto soon. Don't forget to update the lxf file, it is the old one yet (the one without minifigures). About colours, in this topic builders try to reproduce the sets as similar as possible to the original ones. So personal tastes are not considered, you should use the right colours (luckily LDD allow to replace colours easily). Quote
PeabodySam Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 This set popped up yesterday as the "Random Set" on Brickset's homepage. Since it wasn't indexed, I was inspired to take matters into my own hands... 6043 - Dragon Defender - Theme: Castle / Dragon Masters [bricklink] [brickset] [6043 LXF] Notes: - Instructions are not available on LEGO.com, but available through Brickfactory. vean Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 (edited) Well, I agree that it's brighter, but I think that it's better. I will replace foto soon. Hi lotrmorgot, Here is a LDD file with the right colours and closed tanks. I was working on this model since last Monday, but I do not want to post another topic about it, because you did it first. I prefer to collaborate, the purpose being to share the best result. Render Vean Edited August 5, 2013 by vean Quote
lotrmorgot Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 For the color I blame my instruction, because I download it from official site and it brighter then original set, that's why usually I use another color. Quote

Calabar Posted August 4, 2013 Author Posted August 4, 2013 For the color I blame my instruction, because I download it from official site and it brighter then original set, that's why usually I use another color. If you are on a Windows machine, I suggest you to use LDD Manager to create a starting palette and check correct colours. A pair of notes about your last entry: - the image is not correctly cropped, you have to remove blank vertical stripes. - you linked again the gallery and not the lxf file. The gallery is moderated and not immediately accessible. This time I'll fix it for you. If you have some doubt, ask me. Quote
lotrmorgot Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 Thanks, next time I will do photo better, I understood how to make direct link to LXF file, but I thought that this time I chose right colors. Model that I made, in my opinion, is very similar to instruction. I will consult with LDD Manager to check myself. Quote
Calabar Posted August 4, 2013 Author Posted August 4, 2013 Model that I made, in my opinion, is very similar to instruction. Don't worry, no one expects the perfection in our works, we simply have to try to do our best! About the image, note that if you don't fix it, I've to mark the entry as irregular. Quote

Calabar Posted August 5, 2013 Author Posted August 5, 2013 2 X Hose, Flexible 8.5L with Tabbed Ends(73590c02a) can't connect with 2 X Brush Car Wash Holder(2475)1 X Hose, Flexible 8.5L with Tabbed Ends(73590c02a) can't connect with 1 X Brick, Modified 1 x 2 with Vertical Clip(30237) I fixed both of these errors. To solve the first, you simply have to slightly turn the car wash holders. To solve the second, you need a simple scaffolding where to connect the end of the hose. Also, I replaced the "new" light gray with the proper "old" gray and I added a missing blue plate 2476 (only the things I noticed with a glance, maybe there are other inaccuracies). Here is the lxf file. You can use it to upgrade you entry, if you want. Quote
lotrmorgot Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 I confused, I spent 2 hours trying to solve this problems. About color I can say that in instruction it light grey. Thanks for the help, I will upgrade my file. Quote
Calabar Posted August 5, 2013 Author Posted August 5, 2013 Don't worry, if you'll continue tu use LDD and will follow this forum you will learn many tricks about LDD. Look for example at this topic, where users (substantially the user bbqqq so far ) show their tricks! It took me a couple of minutes to fix the two problems you encountered building the set above. About colour, remember that new colours has been introduced in year 2006. The set 1255 was produced in 1999, so it is sure it uses legacy colours. I suggest you to base your build both on instruction and on a brick list, where for each brick you can find the exact model and colour. For example, here is the list provided by Bricklink for set 1255 (but note that Bricklink IDs and Colour names could differ from LDD ones). Quote
